This hand-knitted cuddly sheep stands 9 inches tall.

This chubby little sheep is made from a mix of different wools. The black wool is Jacob and the reddish brown wool is dyed Merino. I spun the yarn on my Sonata wheel, and the yarn was then knitted by me from a Fuzzy Mitten (TM) original design by Barbara Prime.

The sheep is stuffed with polyester doll filling material. She has black safety eyes with metal washers on the back and an embroidered nose. She also comes with a handknitted white scarf!

Glow in the dark bear doll, handspun from Shetland and Wensleydale

This hand-knitted bear toy stands 9 1/2 inches tall.

This little white and brown bear is very special. Expose it to light and it glows in the dark! The bear is made from two different types of glow in the dark yarn that I made by plying commercial nylon glow in the dark yarn with my own handspun. The light coloured head and torso are made using Wensleydale longwool, and the darker arms, legs, and ears are made using brown Shetland wool.

I spun the yarn on my Sonata wheel, and the yarn was then knitted by me from a Fuzzy Mitten (TM) original design by Barbara Prime.

The Wensleydale has a great sheen to it and over time will cause the bear to fuzz up without any fibres falling out.

He is stuffed with polyester doll filling material, and he has brown and black safety eyes with metal washers on the back. His nose and mouth are embroidered in dark brown.

These glow in the dark animals are great for children who don't like to turn out the lights at bedtime or for anyone who just loves things that glow.

This hand-knitted mouse toy stands 9 1/2 inches tall, including the ears.

This little mouse is made from a mixture of white Romney wool and a multicolour "Irish tweed" kind of fibre that I bought in Donegal this summer. I spun the two-ply yarn on my Sonata wheel, and the yarn was then knitted by me from a Fuzzy Mitten (TM) original design by Barbara Prime.

This mouse has big ears; the insides are made from pink and white Wensleydale wool. He also has a long floppy tail. His primary colours are brown, blue and white but there are touches of red and purple in the mix, and a bit of pink at the upper paws.

The mouse is stuffed with polyester doll filling material. He has orange and black safety eyes with metal washers on the back and a black embroidered mouth/nose.

The cat is made from a glow in the dark yarn that I made by plying commercial nylon glow in the dark yarn with my own handspun alpaca yarn. The combination results in a soft yarn that gently glows for a long time after being exposed to light.

The alpaca has hints of green and pink in it which gives a great subtle variation to the cat's colours.

He is stuffed with polyester doll filling material, and he has orange safety cat eyes and a safety cat nose, all with metal washers on the back. His mouth is embroidered in black.

These glow in the dark animals are great for children who don't like to turn out the lights at bedtime or for anyone who just loves things that glow. Leave it near the lamp while you're getting ready for bed and it'll be fully charged by lights-out!

This is a flat fabric case for holding one or two pairs of scissors. There are three compartments of different sizes. They fit a wide range of scissors sizes, and as you can see from the photos you can put two pairs of scissors in at once!

This case is perfect for bringing along to a quilting club or other meet, or just keeping your work surface protected from scissor points. It is made from two pieces of quilt-quality cotton fabric. One piece is solid light green and the other has a plaid yellow and white pattern. From top to bottom this case measures 12.5 inches and it is just over 4 inches wide at its widest point.

The scissors shown are not included in the sale - you'll have to provide your own. If for some reason your scissors do not fit this case (but they will!) I will cheerfully accept the case back and refund your money.

This hand-knitted bunny rabbit toy stands 9 inches tall, excluding the ears.

This little bunny is very special. Expose it to light and it glows in the dark! The bunny is made of two different types of glow in the dark yarn that I made by plying commercial nylon glow in the dark yarn with my own handspun. The multicoloured torso was made using dyed Merino wool, and the arms, legs, head and ears were made using Wensleydale longwool. The combination of handspun and commercial results in a soft yarn that gently glows for a long time after being exposed to light. This would make a fantastic addition to someone's Easter basket this year.

PLEASE NOTE: As the pom-pom tail could be pulled apart by little fingers, this rabbit is not suitable for very small children. I recommend the bear, cat, sheep or mouse instead!

This item is a small drawstring bag made of cotton fabric with a blue and red stars pattern on a red and white striped background. It measures 9.25 inches long by 7.5 inches wide. The fabric has a sparkly sheen that shows up very nicely in sunlight!

This bag would be idea for carrying your small knitting project (socks etc), a set of children's toys or anything that you need to keep in a lightweight portable bag. All seams are finished so you won't get any unravelling. The drawstring is made of a matching piece of fabric and I made this one fairly stiff to open and close so it won't come open accidentally and lose your items!

Chain Cable Scarf, Aran-style knitting pattern

This listing is for a KNITTING PATTERN to make the chain cable scarf shown in the photograph. This pattern was created by me and tested by the nice folks on Ravelry!

You will receive a PDF file of a four-page document detailing the pattern. The pattern will be sent to you as soon as I receive notification of your purchase and payment, which is usually within 24 hours.

This pattern is very much open to customization by the knitter. I have suggested using 6mm needles and worsted weight / 9 WPI yarn but it can be done using any weight of yarn, as long as you use appropriate needles. With the suggested weight and needles you get about 8 inches of length for every 60 yards of yarn.

You will require a cable needle for this pattern, and I recommend using four stitch markers but this is optional.

Skills required: Knit, purl, cast on, cast off. You do not need experience with a cable needle.

Additional skills suggested: Slip purlwise (described in pattern), knit through back loop

FAIR USE POLICY: You may make up to ten items from this pattern per year for resale. You must credit me as the designer and provide a link to my shop or blog (listed on the pattern). You may not resell the scarves online but you may sell them in craft fairs etc. If you wish to make more than ten per year for resale please contact me first for permission. Thanks!

Little mouse crocheted from handspun merino wool

Is it a child's toy? Is it a cat toy? It could be either, really. This little mouse is less than 8 inches long from nose to straightened tail (3 1/2" in the body) and has been crocheted from handspun yarn. The mouse's body easily fits in the palm of an adult.

The pattern used was modified from an original pattern by KristiesKids. The yarn was spun on my wheel from multicolour merino pencil roving and then plied with a strand of white cotton. Two safety eyes and some polyester stuffing complete this little mouse.

Pocket Sheep - start a mini flock of your very own

This listing is for ONE Pocket Sheep. Handknit from sock yarn, these little sheep can come along with you anywhere!

Each sheep is made from patterned sock yarn for the body, resulting in unique markings on the "fleece". The head is made from lightly dyed sock wool. Feet, faces and (sometimes) ears are embroidered with more yarn and the sheep are lightly stuffed with polyester doll stuffing material.

I have updated some of the photos to focus on the four sheep remaining for sale out of the original twelve. Please tell me which sheep you want - number 2, 7, 8, or 12 - in the buyer notes. To avoid two people buying the same sheep I am listing this as only one available - if you want more than one just tell me the numbers when you buy and I will send you a revised invoice.

These sheep were knitted from an adapted version of a Fuzzy Mitten™ original design and the finished sheep are sold with permission.
