Pure and Fresh...

Here is an adorable new item, great for your fridge or studio/office! Each of these sets is one of a kind!

This is my Chicken Dinner set...you get both the altered vintage spice can, and the darling pink and red chicken cookie cutter, both with magnets on the back!

The Pickling Spice can is 2"x 3 1/4" and 1" thick. It is from one of my treasure hunts, it is dated 1974, so 35 years old, red and cream with blue.

I added the little vintage photo reprint of the children, I added the words "pure and fresh" cut from an old book and backed it with black cardstock. Then I used a cute crochet flower from crochetcandi here on etsy. Darling!

The cookie cutter, oh, it is so adorable! It is also vintage,pink painted tin with red and blue, and 2 1/4" x 2" and 5/8" thick. The tin is a little dinged up, adding to its vintage appeal!

I stuck strong button magnets to each, I did not glue them on, in case you want to use them other ways. I can attatch them permanently if you want, just ask!

My Little Dog Primitive Altered Art Framed Collage with Vintage Photo OOAK

My Little Dog...

I love this! Great unique wall decor for you or someone who is a dog-lover! Christmas will be here before we know it!

This collage is made from all vintage items in my stash. I used an oval black metal frame for this collage, which measures 8"x10" and 3/4" thick. The frame does not have glass. It has a thin silver wire for hanging!

The collage is made up of antique 1800's ledger paper, a real old (not a copy) sepia photo of a woman and her dog, and an unused antique black watch band, which still has the tag attatched. I thought the band looked like a dog collar! I then attatched some text from an old book "My Little Dog" to the "collar".

for a final touch, we added a vintage (1980's) worn gold dog tag to the bottom of the frame!

Very lightweight, this would look good anywhere! From my smoke free home :)

I'll take you home again....

Here we have a real vintage photo of a farmhouse and the family that lived there...a father and and kneeling mother, and 3 small children. The photo is in faded sepia tones, with a dark gray matte. I altered the photo just a tad, adding the phrase "I'll take you home again" from an old songbook, and sealed it with gloss sealer (the words only)

I framed the photo in a distressed black over dark red wood frame, and added a real old rusty skeleton key propped in the corner. The key is held on by tiny glue dots.

Size is 8"x6 1/2" It will come with a hanger on the back, but also looks great propped! It does not have glass.

This just tugs at the heart, so nostalgic and sweet!

MY dear old schoolfellow....how cool would this gift be for a teacher or librarian, or anyone who loves old books???

This is one of my altered antique book covers. Great for hanging on a nail, peg, or cupboard, or as an unusual oversized ornament on a big tree? You can write a message on the back to personalize it (or if you want, I can do that for you!)

The hardback book cover is about 5"x8", in a great avacodo green color, in worn condition with a ragged edge where it was attatched to the spine. The book was allready falling apart..no mint condition books were harmed! I added the antique postcard photo (the real thing, not a copy), black grosgrain ribbon, a big old black button...a brown German vintage postage stamp, then added rusty wire for hanging,and a great old rusty key! "My dear old schoolfellow" was cut from the same David Copperfield book!

How sweet are these? These are my mini stacking box sets, made into unique and primitive ornaments for your tree, or tying on packages!

Each set is 3" tall and 1 3/4" in diameter. They are made up of 3 tiny paper mache boxes which were painted and distressed, then glued together. They hang from brown bakers twine.

This set is made up of 5 ornaments, painted in shades of brown, ivory, black and blue.

Jingle bells....(ring ring ring) Can you hear them yet?

This is a new altered bingo card ornament, in a simple old fashioned look! Would look great on a Christmas tree, or hanging on a hook, knob or peg! Or, give it as a Christmas card, or...use it as a gift tag! the back is plain!

The bingo card is 5 1/4" x 4 1/2", and is off white chipboard with black graphics. I added "Jingle Bells" from an old songbook, the reproduced vintage photo of a group of school children in the Christmas pageant...a moss green and gold snowflake tag held on with an antiqued brad, rick rack, word strip, a wire hanger and piece of vintage lace. The wire adds a couple more inches to the piece.

This can is made of tin, it is 4 1/2" tall and about 4" in diameter. It has "1 Pt." and "LQD" which I assume means liquid. It is dented, has surface rust and has been patched several times...great vintage patina!

This is such a unique item...it would be great in your primitive or vintage style kitchen. Hang it on the wall with the grungy shoelace at the top, or sit it on the table...great for candles, real or fake food, fly screen. Or heck, use it to chop veggies!

The cutting board on this is 8" in diameter, and the whole piece with the handle is about 14" long. It is 2" tall standing on the cute feet!

From my Out of the Attic is this great Egg and Bowl Set. You get the wooden bowl and 3 grungy prim eggs which rest in a handful of natural brown recycled krinkle paper.

The bowl is a thrift store cast off, which I rescued with a great gingerbread brown color, then distressed and antiqued it, to look very old and worn! It is sealed with a satin finish and is NOT food safe!

The eggs are wood, they were also painted,distressed, antiqued, sealed, then antiqued further with brown glimmer spray. So kewl!

The bowl is 6"x2", and the eggs are normal chicken egg size.

How bout some peanut butter and ham????

Okay, maybe not (unless you are like my 10 y/o son who eats stuff like that) But this cute pig would love to come to your home, he'll hang in the wall on a nail through his eye and tail, or prop him on a counter, chair rail, cupboard or in a bowl or plate rack!

This is a wood cutting board, about 13" long, 9" tall and 3/4" thick. It has a cut out eye, an a cutout on it's tail.

I painted the pig black on front and back, then distressed and antiqued it, and finished it with satin sealer. On the front of the pig, I added a vintage style label for "Hearts A Flutter Peanut Butter" Kinda like that "when pigs fly thing", lol The label is also distressed and stained.

For decorative use only, it is not food safe.

Here is another of my Out of the Attic items, a one of a kind set of wooden bowls in grungy shades of blue, cream and brown.

I painted these wood bowls in a pale blue, creamy white and a brown/gray mudstone color. I then heavily distressed and aged them. Great for display like they are, or use them for all kinds of purposes around your house...display of natural finds like shells or bird nests, they can hold loose change, keys, cell phones. Use them to organize things in the office or craft room. Display them in a bowl rack or an old cupboard. Just don't use them for salad...they are NOT food safe!

The bowls are each 6" in diameter and 2" tall. They are sealed with a satin sealer.

Here is a great set for your kitchen this holiday season, or even all year long! You get the bowl and 7 gingerbread men in this listing!

The bowl is a repurposed thrift store find. It is wood, 6" in diameter and 2" tall. I painted it black, distressed, antiqued, and sealed it with satin sealer. It is not food safe!

The gingers are each about 3" tall, and 2 1/2" wide. The are made of paper mache, and are 1/2" thick. They are also put through the painting and grunging process. I gave them various homespun scarves, and black buttons!

Here is the first piece in my new jewelry collection, the Moon Drops Choker. LOVE this one...so classic and elegant, yet unique!

The charm on this one is made of 2 vintage buttons, a gold toned aged button with a chain-like border, and a sparkly rhinestone button in the center. Dangling from the buttons is part of an old strands of gold and cream beads. The center is 1 3/8" in diameter, and with the beads, it is 4 1/4" long!

The charm hangs from an aged jumpring, on a black ribbon necklace. The ribbon is 17" long, it is adjustable with a chain lobster claw, to go up to 2" longer.

Great with jeans and a simple top, or all dressed up!

Here we have a great primitive old sunbonnet...modeled by my not-too-happy 10 year old son! Guess that makes it a sonbonnet???

Anyway, this is from my flea market adventures, brought home, washed and ironed just for you! It fits my son's head, and snugly on mine. Great for display in your primitive or cottage home, or heck, maybe your son will want to wear it to garden and mow the lawn!

Size on this when hanging as shown in the last picture is 12" tall and 9" wide. It is made from a blue fabric with white plaid and red, blue, white and yellow polka dots. It does not have strings. The fabric is faded from use, but there are no other flaws that I can find. It does appear to be machine sewn.

Here is a great antique Packers Healing Tar Soap Tin, filled with a great assortment of old white buttons! Great gift for anyone who loves old things, crafting and sewing, or collects buttons!

The tin is 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 1 1/4" it is scratched, dented and generally well used, adding to its vintage charm! The label is printed on, rather than paper.

It IS easy being green, with this cool tin full of green goodies!

This is a vintage Avon Perfection "Mothicide Paradichlorbenzene" Tin, which apparently was used for getting rid of moths in closets and trunks. The can is 4" in diameter and 2" tall. It is painted in green, pumpkin pie orange, and cream, in old but good condition!

Rather than moth killer, it is now full of great GREEN goodies for your crafting, sewing and altered art projects! The bottom of the tin is lined with a great lime green and gold paper tray, then there is a large green wood spool, 2 tiny clothespins wrapped in 18"+ of lime and dark green seam binding ribbon, 1 green cupcake candle holder, and 30 old buttons, in all sizes, materials and shades of green. The largest are 1 1/4" and the smallest are 1/4". Great assortments of buttons!

Here is a set of 5 of my primitive collage tags, each one is one of a kind, and will not be repeated.

These are my approx. 2"x5" extra grubby, super grungy handdyed prim tags, with old brown twine for tying or hanging. Each one is a mini work of art with pages torn from an old hymnal, collage images of children of yesterday (well, and an old man, lol), and various embellishments, both vintage and vintage looking. All the papers are inked for a more prim look.

Here is a fun tongue in cheek set of tags. These are my small approx 1x3 extra grungy, super grubby tags, with stained cotton strings. The tags are hand dyed in natural walnut ink.

The photos on these are 1923 yearbook proofs, I used the actual photos, not copies. I then added appropriate quotes from a vintage falling-apart David Copperfield book.

Here is another piece in my new Nostagic Necklaces collection, the Moonlit Garden Choker. LOVE this one...so classic and elegant, yet unique!

The charm on this one is a pewter colored metal, with small black stones and larger clear ones, in a leaf design. It measures 1 3/4" square.

The charm hangs from an aged jumpring, on a black ribbon necklace. The ribbon is 17" long, it is adjustable with a chain lobster claw, to go up to 2" longer.

Great with jeans and a simple top, or all dressed up!

Sweet Liberty Jar of Primitive Flags and Buttons with Sepia Image and Tag

Sweet Liberty...

Here is another new item in my Sweet Liberty collection...Here we have a pint Kerr canning jar, full of old buttons (TONS of buttons), and holding 3 of my grungy stick flags. Great accent for your 4th of July decorating, or everyday!

The jar is 5 1/4" and 3" in diameter. It is full of old buttons, mostly in neutral colors, from my stash. Gobs of buttons here! On the front I used my Sweet Liberty Girl image, and then added navy homespun tie, a real old rusty skeleton key, and one of my 2x5 grungy tags that says Sweet Liberty 1776.

With the flags, the arrangement is 12" tall. The flags are cotton, have been stained with my eco friendly walnut dye, then sewn to sticks that my 10 y/o was happy to gather from the yard.

This will arrive with the flags removed and wrapped seperately, and a lid on the jar, to avoid a big button mess upon arrival. so there will be a bit of assembly required!

The basket in the last picture is not included here, but it is listed in my shop!

Here is a great bowl arrangement for your springthyme decorating! You get everything shown...the bowl lined with dried grasses, the vintage fabric, enamel bowl, eggs, primitive cookie cutter, and vintage block and paprika tin! Display as is, or with your other crafts, antiques and collectibles!

The bowl here is large, almost 12" in diameter and 3" tall. I painted it black, distressed, aged and sealed it with a matte sealer.

It is lined with dried grasses which are uber kewl for prim decorating, but not so great if you have allergies in your house, so I can replace it with brown paper shred instead, just ask!

1 "Handmade in the USA" heavy metal decorative cookie cutter with a red and tan homespun tie. 5 1/2" square

Sweet Springthyme Large Primitive Bowl with Eggs and Other Goodies OFGSC

Sweet Springthyme...

Here is one of my new Spring bowls, full of Vintage and Grubby items!

This bowl is a large, heavy wood bowl. Size is 10" in diameter and 3 1/2" tall. I painted it a great greenish gray color...very neutral to go with any decor! It was then heavily distressed and antiqued, then sealed with matte sealer. It is not food safe.

Tucked inside on a bed of real dried grasses, is a great mix of treasures, including an antique photo of a woman, an old tarnished silver spoon, an empty vintage "Franks Dove Pepper and Spice and Everything Nice Seasoning" tin can, and 3 of my grubby springthyme eggs. The eggs are the size of real eggs but made of paper mache...they were painted in brown and blues, then distressed, antiqued and given an extra "grungy" coat, each one is unique and has a nice sheen to it. Love these eggs. There is also one of my small extra grubby tags, with a rabbit embossed in charcoal gray on it!

The grass lining the bowl is real, so if you have hayfever or allergy issues in your house, you can let me know and I'll take it out and give you a little something extra instead!

Some assembly will be required when the bowl arrives, as I'll package the grasses and other items in cello bags for safer and neater travel :)

Civil War Memory Primitive Medium Drum Box with Drummer Boy Tag

Sweet Liberty Memories...

Here we have my new primitive Drum box. So old and worn looking, with lots of detail and special touches.

The drum box is 7" in diameter and 4" tall. It is made of paper mache, and finished in a 9 step process, for an authentic vintage look! The drum has one of my approx 2"x5" large extra grubby, super grungy prim tags.

The drum is dark red with a crackled ivory top and bottom and black rims around the top and bottom. There is gold rubbed on the rims, to resemble the remains of shiny paint from long ago. The roping around the drum is natural brown. The drums are heavily distressed and antiqued, and finished with matte sealer. Inside the box is stained dark brown.

I was inspired by the story of 10 year old Civil War drummer Johnny Clem in making these drums...on the tags is a reprinted antique photo of a young boy (this is not a photo of the real Johnny Clem), with "Johnny 1861" stamped at the bottom.

I have a larger version of this box and smaller drum ornaments. When these are gone, they are gone! From my smoke free home!

Hope Altered Eco Conscious Composition Book with Bible Verse and Antique Baby Image

Here is one of my new primitive altered composition books. The book is 7"x9 1/2" and 100 lined in brown pages. The cover is natural brown with a dark brown edge. The paper in it is eco friendly sugarcane-based, from the waste after sugarcane is harvested. It is printed with eco-conscious vegetable and water based inks.

On the front of this one, I used a great black designer paper that resembles vintage fabric, a collage image vintage photo of a baby,a page torn from a vintage hymnal, and butterfly. I then added the verse from Ephesians, with recycled anagram letters spelling HOPE. All the papers are inked for a more prim look!

Great gift or buy it for yourself...perfect for a journal, taking notes at church or Bible study, to do lists, hopes, dreams, plans, or taking notes in class!

Here is a great vintage Schick razor, in the original case. Love the silver script on this! Perfect for display in your vintage or nostalgic decor bathroom!

The case is in excellent shape, black with a silver base and silver "Schick" logo. The case is a nice curved shape, about 4 1/2" tall and wide, and 1 3/4" thick.

Inside is the razor, a black and white Ronson 200 model "featuring instant replaceable cutting system" The cord is included also, I did not plug it in to see if it works! I would recommend it for display only! The razor is 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 1"

Seymours Bottle From the Haunted Attic Fun Spooky Jar with Old Time Label

Here is the first of my Haunted Attic Line, fun vintage or reproduction primitives, with a ghostly haunted house feel! Check back often for more...this may get spooky!

From the Haunted Attic, here is Seymour's bottle...and his story!

It was a dark and stormy night (of course), the night Seymour passed away. His illness had started as a simple cough, for which he called in Doctor Shruckman for advice. The doctor gave him a large bottle of his Lung Balsam, "for quick relief of coughs, colds and croup" and ordered him to take it several times a day.

So Seymour followed the doctor's advice, but became sicker and sicker. While he lay in bed suffering, and the doctor's visits became more frequent, he noticed a certain closeness between Shruckman and his own wife, Lenor. Too late, he realized that Shruckman's balsam was really poison, and that he was slowly being murdered.

Night after night, in a fevered rage, he dwelled on the affair between Shruckman and Lenor, as well as all the other people who had done him wrong over the years. In a shaky hand, he penned a list of his enemies, and shoved it in one of the empty bottles, sealing it with a cork. He tore a strip from his bedding and tied it around the jar, then attatched a photo of himself as he was before becoming ill to the back of the poison label. As he took his final breath, he vowed to come back and avenge those who had done him wrong....

The bottle here is glass, 7" tall and 3" in diameter. It has a reproduction vintage label and grubby tag, with an actual page from an 1800 ledger, and an real old photo of "Seymour" on the tag...the poison sign skull and crossbones are on the back of the tag!

Happy Halloween

Here is a great set of Halloween tags, perfect for gifts, scrapbooking, and other crafts! Cute hung on your Halloween tree or handmades too!

You get 8 in this set. Happy Halloween is stamped in black on old book pages, and accented with a bit of crystal "bling" They are mounted on double sided Halloween paper, which is black and white branches on the front, and white, orange and black stripes on the back. They have an aged hole reinforcer and black waxed twine. All the papers are edged with black ink.

These vary slightly in size, due to their one-at-a-time handmade nature! They average about 3 1/2" square.

AMEN Our Living Lord Primitive Assemblage with Old Hymnal Antique Photo and Prim Tag

Here is an assemblage, with a vintage hymnal (1920), an old cabinet card of a baby, an aged doily, real antique skeleton key and one of my altered art tags..all tied together with twill printed with "The gift is small ...The love is great.

The book is a 1920 Hymnal, brown in color and 10"x7" and 1/4" thick. It is dogeared, adding to it's vintage charm.

The cabinet card is antique, 4 1/4" x 6 1/2", in good condition, with a baby in a long gown and high button shoes standing in a garden...so cute!

An aged battenburg doily is tucked behind the photo. A real antique skeleton key is tied to the twill.

The final touch is one of my 2x5 super grungy, extra grubby prim tags. The background of the collage on the tag is REAL ledger paper from an 1861 ledger...not a copy. I then added the "church lady" woman's photo and AMEN spelled out in vintage letter tiles.

Lenors Bottle from the Haunted Attic Primitive Vintage Reproduction Label and Tag

Lenor's Sad Story

After helping Dr Shruckman kill her husband, Seymour, Lenor donned the traditional black mourning clothes, vowing the shed them when Shruckman asked her to marry him. Six months turned to a year, and a year turned to 5, while Lenor waited by the door for her lover's proposal. As the long days passed, Lenor's mind began to slip...she would not eat, not attend church and social gatherings, nor take visitors...while she paced by the door, waiting on Shruckman. When she finally went to bed at night alone, Seymour began to appear in her dreams, waving a gnarled finger at her, whispering "murderess", over and over. There was no rest, only waiting and torture, for poor Lenor.

When Lenor's sister, Mrs Richard Smith, came for a visit, she discovered her dear sister malnourished, pale and talking nonsense in her tattered black mourning clothes. Mrs Smith assumed that Seymour's death was still haunting her sister, and knew just what to make her sister better and return to health...fresh air, sunshine and her own "Digestive Cordial", which she had made in her own kitchen. She began to pour the medicine in Lenor's tea, sure that it would heal all that ailed her poor sister.

When Lenor discovered her sister was secretly dosing her with these "Happy Spirits", her guilt over poisoning her dear husband Seymour pushed her over the edge. She locked Mrs Smith in a secret chamber, and tied the key around the neck of her sister's "poison" She ripped her own photo from the frame which had once held she and Seymour's pictures, and tied it around the bottle also. She hid the bottle with the key which would free her sister in the attic of the old home, then jumped from the roof to her own death. Mrs Smith was never seen again....

The bottle here is glass, 8 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" in diameter. It has a reproduction vintage label on the front for Mrs Smith's Digestive Cordial, and is topped with grungy mustard calico, torn stained homespun and twine, with Lenor's photo and a Happy Sprits poison tag, and the rusty old skeleton key to the secret chamber...

Here is a brand new and unique set of Halloween tags! It is a one of a kind set!

Each tag is about 2 1/2" x5" The printed backgrounds have spooky scenes in red and black. I had these silent movie collage images, which looked more creepy than romantic to me, so I used them on the tags, along with appropriate captions! They are finished off with stained cheesecloth ties! The tags are backed with black cardstock.

Here is another of my Haunted Attic primitive finds...The Spirit of Black...

Black's Camphor Liniment bottle is 8" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter. It has a grubby reproduction label, stained muslin, twine, grungy cheesecloth, and an old key and the photo of Black, our greedy salesman, who's spirit is rumored to live inside...

Black was a traveling salesman. He spent his life crossing the country door by door, peddling his Camphor Liniment, which he claimed "stops at once all external Pains" He developed his secret formula at Old Man Pike's Pharmacy in W. Brownsville, Penn. then took the liniment and sold it, keeping all the profits for himself. Black was a top-notch salesman, and sold hundreds of bottles out of the back of his Packard, moving from town to town.

When Old Man Pike found out that Black was cheating him, he was furious and was set on revenge. He hunted Black down and demanded that he give him half the profits from the liniment. Black refused, and a struggle ensued. Pike pulled out his secret weapon, a syringe of deadly poison, and stabbed Black with it. He left Black for dead and took off in the Packard. Realizing that if he was caught in the deadman's car he would be tried for murder, he took the money and the last bottle of liniment, and pushed the car off the side of a mountain.

Upon returning back to Brownsville, he tied the key to the Packard, as well as Black's photo, around the neck of that empty bottle, and hid it in the pharmacy attic, never to be discovered...until now!

Here is a fun glass jar, which I've embellished with a reproduction label for "Harvest Blessings Cider" Inside is a green moss nest with 2 of my prim blue/gray speckled and grubby eggs. I tied a piece of aged twill (darker than it looks in the photo) that is printed with Happy all around it.

The jar is 4 1/4" tall and 4" in diameter.

Shipping is priority, and insurance is not included, but available for a little extra!

It's Halloween...well, almost!

Here is a fun altered bingo card, made into a great tag for Halloween. Cute hanging on a cupboard, peg, or dressing up an old basket for Halloween. Can also be used for gifts, scrapbooking and other crafts! Fun gift too! The back is plain so you can write on it if you want.

This is a black and white vintage Bingo card, it measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and is made of chipboard.

I decorated the front with an altered vintage photo collage image of a little girl holding a jack o'lantern , and wearing a witch hat. The photo has an orange polka dot border around it, and says "it's Halloween" at the bottom. I added a black glitter crow who is sneaking in to steal some candy! I also added baby black rickrack, and inked all the papers. It has a long piece of orange seam binding ribbon for hanging or tying! It will come in a vintage style paper treat bag.

Creepy....

Love this altered bingo card...but that clown gives me the creeps, so I had to use the pic in a Halloween collage! These altered bingo cards are great ornaments or decorations to hang with your other vintage style Halloween collectibles. Also perfect for gift tags, greeting cards or scrapbooking!

On this one, I used a background of designer paper with an old rusty, peely look. I distressed the collage image of the silent movie actress and Mr Creepy Clown, then added the vintage French vocabulary card "Suivre" which it says means "to follow". I also added Creepy Ransom style, some black lace, then a rusty star with rust colored seam binding tied around the card, with rusty jingle bells on the ends. The collage is 4.5"x5.5" and hangs from a black wire hanger.

Love this one! This is one of my mini wood plaques, 5"x3", and 3/4" thick with a routed edge. The plaque is painted black, distressed and antiqued. I then added a real (not a copy) vintage black and white snapshot of a group of women and mean, probably from the 1940's or so. I added the simple word "together" on top of the photo, on sepia toned clear acrylic piece. The photo was also distressed and antiqued.

Great for filling in that small spot on a wall, among old family (or instant ancestor) photos, or maybe propped up in a small easel on a table or bookshelf.

This is also finished on the back, and has a sawtooth hanger

Here is a set of 3 vintage bottles, with reproduction antique medicine labels. Perfect for your antique or primitive style bathroom.

The largest bottle is a blue/green colored glass, 8 1/2" tall, and 3" wide. On the side it says Cardui the woman's tonic, and Chattanooga Medicine Co on the other. On the front, I used a Bleus Vegetable Balsamic Elixir-Remedy for coughts, colds and diseases of the throat and lungs.

The other 2 bottles are small dark blue Milk of Magnesia bottles. They are 5" and 5 1/2" tall. The labels on these are Morning Glory Laundry Blue, and Dr Wlm Killmeyer Stomach Bitters Compound.

Great is Thy Faithfulness...

Here is a pretty primitive altered journal, in a comforting Christian theme. This is a one of a kind item!

The journal is one of my 7"x10" eco friendly natural composition notebooks. The cover is "kraft" brown, with a dark brown distressed binding. It is made of sugar cane based paper and printed with vegetable and waterbased ink. The white pages have brown-lined pages.

The front is embellished with flocked and striped designer paper, a page from an old falling-apart hymnal, a vintage sepia photo reprint, and 3 large mis-matched black buttons. There is also an orange butterfly and the "Great is Thy faithfulness" diecuts.

My Dear Sisters...

Here is a very primitive altered Bingo Card...it is made from a real old bingo card and is one of a kind!

The bingo card is a great faded green, with navy lettering. Elements include "Amazing Grace" torn from an old falling-apart hymnal, the photo reprint of the 2 sisters on transparency, a metal copper colored "Ancestors" embellishment, and other letters and words. It hangs from grungy alphabet twill.

Size is 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" The card is made of lightweight chipboard. All the papers were lightly aged for a more vintage look.

These are great to hang from an old cupboard, a peg, or with vintage clothing and other collectibles. Makes a great gift too!

Here is a great primitive box, with a shabby beach feel! The box is paper mache, painted brown and distressed and grunged.

It measures 7"x5"x3" The lid is rusty metal. I did a collage on it using old map and dictionary papers, a vintage photo copy of a young woman in her beach costume (check out her shoes!), a quote, metal key charm, and more. On the front of the box, I used a twill band that says "Inspiration".

The quote on the top of the box says "Travel has been my comrade, adventure, my inspiration"-Charlotte Cameron Also to the top of the photo, I added the glittery, sandy word "Memories"

Here is a very kewl old Antique price guide book...not REAL old, it is from 1966, which is the year on my own birth certificate...oh my...

anyhow...This is a book from one of my treasure hunts, paper back and in old and worn condition, but everything is intact. Kind of like me...

The official title for this is Warman's Eighth Antiques and Their Current Prices, by Edwin G Warman. A check list and guide of comparitive prices for antique dealers and collectors. Published by EG Warman Publishing Inc. Uniontown, Pennsylvania

The pages are full of drawings, black and white photos, and price guides for a large array of items....Dishes, furniture, collectibles, guns, etc Great for altered art and collage, or fun collector item to look through!

A Last Look Back Antique Photographers Frame with Baby Photo and Old Key OOAK

A Last Look Back...

This piece is just to die for! A sweet simple collage of vintage items, in a wonderful antique photographer's frame! True one of a kind item!

This frame is very unique, the back has metal brackets which close over a hinged back. It was used by photographers to showcase their work, and easily change photos without taking the whole frame apart. Very clever, and the only one like this I have ever seen. When I found it, I knew EXACTLY the photo from my collection that belonged inside.

This is a case of serendipity, as the photo I imagined in the frame was from the same city as the frame itself! When I saw that, I knew it was meant to be :)

The frame came with a stained cotton backing insert, which is the background of the collage. I added the grungy and faded baby photo, with text cut from an old book, over a small piece of stained old lace (which was exactly the right length), and an old metal key from my etsy treasure hunting!

The frame is 5 3/4" x 6 3/4" and 1" thick. It has a metal hook at the top for hanging. It does not have glass.

Great piece of instant ancestor memory art!

Large Civil War Inspired Drum Box with Drummer Boy Tag OOAK

Sweet Liberty Memories...

Here we have my new primitive Drum box. So old and worn looking, with lots of detail and special touches.

The drum box is 7 3/4" in diameter and 4 3/4" tall. It is made of paper mache, and finished in a 9 step process, for an authentic vintage look! The drum has one of my approx 2"x5" large extra grubby, super grungy prim tags.

The drum is dark red with a crackled ivory top and bottom and black rims around the top and bottom. There is gold rubbed on the rims, to resemble the remains of shiny paint from long ago. The roping around the drum is natural brown. The drums are heavily distressed and antiqued, and finished with matte sealer. Inside the box is stained dark brown.

I was inspired by the story of 10 year old Civil War drummer Johnny Clem in making these drums...on the tags is a reprinted antique photo of a young boy (this is not a photo of the real Johnny Clem), with "Johnny 1861" stamped at the bottom.

I have a medium sized version of this box and smaller drum ornaments. When these are gone, they are gone! From my smoke free home!

Here we have my new primitive Drum ornament. So old and worn looking, with lots of detail and special touches.

Imagine Vintage Medicine Bottle with Primitive Reproduction Label Full of Buttons

Imagine where this bottle has been....

Here is a very kewl old glass medicine bottle, it is 5 3/4" tall and 2" wide, 1" deep. It is clear glass with measurement marks down the side, and a number 4 at the top. It has a black plastic lid.

I used a very prim reproduction label for "Black's Camphor Liniment...stops at once all external pains. Pikes Pharmacy,W. Brownsville, Penna." Looks like a real old label!

I filled the bottle with old buttons from my stash...all in blacks, browns and whites. I then used rusty wire to attatch a plain grubby hang tag, a real old key, and a reproduction metal locker tag that says "Imagine" on it.

Great for adding a prim touch to your bathroom, kitchen, or sewing room!

Here is another new item from my "From the Attic" Collection. Perfect for any room of the house, to add a touch of playful nostalgia!

The bowl here is 6" in diameter and 2" tall. I painted it a warm white, then heavily distressed and antiqued it for a prim old look! It is sealed with matte sealer.

You get 12 assorted old wooden blocks with this, some with natural age and some I antiqued. They are all about 1 1/4" square. Display them in the bowl, or make words or initials out of them. Fun to put out on the coffee table to "play" with.

Here is one of my new primitive altered composition books. The book is 7"x9 1/2" and 100 lined in brown pages. The cover is natural brown with a dark brown edge. The paper in it is eco friendly sugarcane-based, from the waste after sugarcane is harvested. It is printed with eco-conscious vegetable and water based inks.

On the front of this one, I used a great grungy designer paper, a collage image vintage photo of a woman, and butterfly. I then added the verse from Ephesians, with recycled anagram letters. All the papers are inked for a more prim look!

Great gift or buy it for yourself...perfect for a journal, taking notes at church or Bible study, to do lists, hopes, dreams, plans, or taking notes in class!

I am Woman Primitive Altered Antique Masher with Collage Tag

I am Woman ...

Now we have an antique masher, accented with one of my prim tags! The masher is 10" tall and 3 1/2" wide.
I left it in its primitively perfect state, and added one of my 2"x5" grungy prim tags, altered with an ad for a "cure" for woman's troubles, and the woman's photo, then added "I am Woman".

I think she would like to take that masher to whoever is giving her troubles! The tag is tied on with grungy old ticking fabric

Here is a great primitive masher, with an altered art twist!

The masher is 10" tall and 4" at the base...it has a wood handle with a bit of white paint still remaining. It does have a touch of rust, so you probably don't want to mash any taters with it, but it does make a great accent for your primitive or vintage style kitchen!

I tied one of my large 2"x5" grungy grubby tags to the masher, with a collage image of a woman and the quote. It is held on with wire, then really stained homespun in brown and white is tied over the wire!

America Primitive Altered Art Collage on Old Printers Block Plate with Uncle Sam

America, My Country 'Tis of Thee...

Here is a one of a kind collage, done on an old printers block plate found on one of my treasure hunts. This is a big plate, 9"x10" and 1" thick.

The plate has an impression of Uncle Sam with a pro-union message. At the bottom, hidden partially by the flag, it says "Join the union!"

To alter this, I used a reproduction vintage piece of sheet music for "America, My Country 'Tis of Thee", a vintage photo reprint of a young girl in a Statue of Liberty costume, mounted on torn black cardstock with black vintage style photo corners, and a aged cotton parade flag. I then added FREEDOM across the top with black and white vintage anagram tiles!

This can have a sawtooth hanger added free if you'd like, just add it to the comment section when checking out!

Here is a darling altered domino ornament, it is one of a kind and sooo primitive and sweet!

The domino is cream plastic with black dots. Size is 1 3/4" x 3/4"

On the back, I used a collage image of a sweet boy of yesteryear. I then cut the word "waif" from an old book and covered the whole thing with glossy medium, leaving air bubbles to add to the antique glass look. Looks very old and so prim!

The domino has an eye hook in the top and has silky gold ribbon for hanging.

Great for feather or full size trees at the holidays...you can also hang it from a peg, knob, or hook. Use it to accent a doll, bear or basket! Makes a sweet small gift too!

On the back, I used a collage image of a sweet tiny girl. I then cut the word "frail" from an old book and covered the whole thing with glossy medium, leaving air bubbles to add to the antique glass look. Looks very old and so prim!

The domino has an eye hook in the top and has silky gold ribbon for hanging.

Great for feather or full size trees at the holidays...you can also hang it from a peg, knob, or hook. Use it to accent a doll, bear or basket! Makes a sweet small gift too!

Here is a darling altered domino ornament, it is one of a kind and sooo primitive and sweet!

The domino is cream plastic with black dots. Size is 1 3/4" x 3/4" This one is chipped a little in the back, adding to it's vintage appeal!
