This glass block measures approx. 7.5 X 7.5 X 3" and weighs approx. 4 lbs. each.
The block is drilled, cleaned and then a set of 35 - 50 mini lights are inserted. The block is then decorated on the exterior with ribbon and holiday ornaments,etc.

The decoupage is done with a sheer polyester fabric.Acrylic paint is used over the fabric and then the edges of the plate are covered in silver leaf. The back side of the plate is then sprayed with an acrylic lacquer to help preserve.I think it has an asian feel and gives on a sense of calm.

This is plate is a little more than 10" round.

I messed up a digital picture one day and it appeared very 'funky' to me so I decided to use the mistake and replicate to some degree the same hazy image on a plate.
The materials are gift wrap paper with various overlaps of paint.

Because of it's colors, it will need a special home but it will definitely attract some attention.

Food may be placed on it, however, do not immerse in water and do not put in a dishwasher, please. Primarily meant to be a decor item.

This plate is approx.9" round.
I was drawn to this image and really loved the movement and obvious joy of the children skipping. Also, the colors are so cheerful!
All work is done on the back of the plate so it is food safe. Damp wipe only and do not immerse in water or put in a dishwasher.
This piece is done in layers. There is a clear coating put on, then the bottom part of the plate is fabric and it is decoupaged on.The top part of the plate is part of a sunflower and that is painted on freehand but simplistic. The final layer is a spray coat of lacquer to seal the piece.

As a child I would cut out shapes and use water paints to create art that I think only I appreciated.

My work is done on the back side of a clear glass plate.
This plate was done by cutting a Christmas tree out of foam in a rather primitive manner and then stamping the image on the plate with acrylic paint. Next I paint with a flecked sparkle clear acrylic and lastly paint over all layers with a Christmas red acrylic paint. A spray coating of lacquer in then applied to help preserve.

The plate is food safe because work is on the underneath side of the plate. However, do not immerse in water or put in a dishwasher. DAMP WIPE ONLY, PLEASE!!!

These are glass blocks, drilled and then Christmas mini lights put inside. Each block is decorated completely different as a one of a kind. This particular one has blue lights and blue them to the decorations. They sort of look like Christmas gifts wrapped and can be used many different ways. On a side table, as a dinner centerpiece, on a buffet for a dinner party, or if you have a loved one in a seniors home, this can maybe cheer them up by having one at their bedside. I love to hear how people end up using them...they are stunning when lit! This particular block is 8 X 8 X 3, but I do oblong ones as well.

The decoupage was done with a sheer polyester fabric and then acrylic paint in a light teal as the outer layer. A border was painted on first in a white acrylic paint, decoupaged and then painted again with the teal colour. There is a silver leaf applied to the outside edges of the plate.

Soft hues allow for simple elegance.

The inspiration for this plate came from a gift I received wrapped in this beautiful gift wrap from the Museum of History in New York. The character and colors are wonderful and I wanted to preserve some as it was so charming AND I could recycle...!
