Cheese board with integral wire made from English Beech.

Complete with 4 silicon rubber feet, this board uses a cheese wire with a toggle on the end to cut.

Size: 180mm diameter x 40mm thick, this item is a batch made stock item and as such may vary slightly in dimensions. I also use Ash and Sycamore for the boards and reserve the right to substitute these woods according to availability.

It has a 4mm hole running through it for the cord, and is counterbored at the end to take the knot.

Complete with a 250g / 0.5 lb ball of natural Fillis twine included. The stand has a base of 100mm diameter x 25mm thick and is 175mm high overall. (..all dimensions approximate)

The Oak, whilst not sustainable as such is from the off-cuts of 'Green Oak' beams for barn conversions cut in the English Lake District.

Christmas Angel

Hand turned from English Hardwoods, these decorative Christmas angels stand in the region of 125mm tall, with a wingspan of 90mm !

The body is made from ripple Sycamore which in some lights make the angel seem to have stripes across it. The head and wings are from various contrasting English Hardwoods.

As these are individually hand turned, there may be slight variation in size and overall shape - though you probably won't notice it.

Here is a selection of Hand turned wooden buttons in English Hardwoods, no two are the same - on purpose !!

They range from just under 1" to just over 1 1/2" and are made convex/concave with lines and without - if you want to buy them for jobs where you don't need matching buttons - feel free to.

If you feel inspired to use some, but need some matching ones - message me.

The woods are Elm,Sycamore,Cherry,Yew and the one thing they do have in common - 4 holes at 3mm diameter.

Here we have a pendant turned from a branch of Laburnum wood, showing the marked differences between the paler sapwood and the dark heartwood.

It comes complete with a 24" waxed cotton cord with Silver plated findings and its dimensions are: 46mm diameter x 6.5mm thick with a hole of 26mm.

This is an off centre Yew Pendant, slightly different each side. It is supplied gift boxed, with a 24" waxed cotton cord - which is a lot daintier than the photos suggest - 1 1/2mm.

The measurements are 36mm diameter x 5mm thick - the hole is 16mm diameter.

A pair of Cuff Links in Brown Oak. Brown Oak is not a species, rather a normal Oak tree which has been infested with a fungus which turns the wood a rich dark brown.

These are on findings which are Silver plated and measure 22mm in diameter x 4mm thick, they are supplied in their own gift box.

Shown here are a pair of Silver plated Cuff Links in Laburnum - Laburnum is a dense, slow growing garden shrub/tree and has some terrific patterns to its grain and a greeny/yellow colour.

The rail is 100mm wide and carries 5 pegs approx' 70mm long, with 20mm diameter domed ends. The shelf is 150mm wide. Overall this piece is 600mm long.

This is a 'Mini' version of my Shaker peg coat rack, again made from sustainable FSC Oak - it features 9 pegs on a 60mm wide rail of 18mm thickness, each peg being 45mm long with a domed end 12.5mm in diameter.

Simply finished with Oils and a final polish of wax, it was designed primarily for the Kitchen - for Tea towels/ oven gloves etc, but would be equally at home in a small childs bedroom or perhaps the Utility room.

Paper Potter in English Oak

This is a hand-made, cunning little device to make newspaper pots for seedlings and seeds. You simply make the pots from torn up strips of old newspaper, plant whatever it is you're growing and keep it watered. The roots will grow right through the newspaper, plant out in your chosen position and the newspaper will just rot away leaving your plants to thrive with no root damage whatsoever.

Made from Lake District English Oak, felled in 2005 from land close to Lake Windermere.
Finished pots are approx' 1 3/4" diameter x 2" high.

Wrapped in it's own zip-lock bag and presented as shown, complete with full instructions - makes an ideal present for anybody with an interest in gardening.

Oak Garden Dibber

Hand turned from English Oak, the Dibber is 220mm long and is marked with 25mm graduations.

Supplied lightly oiled, simply wipe/brush off any soil after use and give it an occasional oiling - Olive oil is fine.

For hanging it has a leather thong.
