These earrings feature coin-shaped pink Czech glass beads under round purple glass beads. Bright, modern and pretty.

They measure approximately 7/8 in. in the drop. The coin-shaped bead is just over a half an inch in diameter. All metals are sterling silver.

People seem to love millefiore glass from Italy. I think it's because most people can't really figure out how it's made. I think it's basically like Brighton Rock candy, or those holiday cookies that come pre-made in a tube and that you just slice into individual servings.

But don't quote me on that! I have a friend who blows glass...maybe I'll ask her how it's done.

Or maybe I'll just enjoy these earrings. They're almost 1-inch long hearts suspended from sterling silver earwires. They feature multi-colored flowers (the 'millefiore' in the description) surrounded by rich cobalt/navy blue glass. Give someone your heart! And these have some red, too--perfectly patriotic!

Blue in Green Glass and Sterling Silver Earrings

One of my most popular pairs of earrings! No matter where I sell them, be it gallery, outdoor fair or my living room, these earrings almost always walk off first.

They feature a square silver-foil-lined bead that is half blue and half green. I've placed the bead on the head pin with the blue half on the bottom and the green half on top, and then used a small blue round bead to pick up the blue in the bead. The square bead is approximately a 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch.

All findings are sterling silver and the drop is approximately 2 inches.

(The beads are blue and green, but you'll notice the title of this entry reads blue IN green. That's because, from the first time I saw these beads, the name of the Bill Evans/Miles Davis composition Blue in Green (from the album Kind of Blue) popped into my head.)

I've used bright orange puffed coin-shaped millefiore beads (approximately 1/2 inch in either direction) to create this fun bracelet. The beads feature multi-colored flowers (the 'millefiore' in the description) surrounded by rich orange glass.

The bracelet is strung together using thick sterling silver wire and finished with a substantial sterling lobsterclaw clasp. It measures 7 1/2 inches in the length.
