A pinch of this, a scoop of that, and with a stir or two, liquid gold has been created. Well, maybe it is a bit more complicated than that. And it's not exactly liquid gold, but rather a liquid soap/body wash comb that is gold in color. Still, think of it as a lovely form of alchemy for your bath chamber.

Oils of Castor, Olive and Sustainable Palm combine with sweet honey and orange essential oil to create a beautiful dark golden liquid soap that even Nicolas Flamel would be impressed with.

It is presented in an 8 ounce green container that is a bit anachronistic for the wise woman of the forest, but because it is the modern Middle Ages, she hopes that you will forgive her. (Just remember to recycle the container)

Ingredients: Water, Olive oil, Honey, Sugar, Potassium Hydroxide, Castor oil, Sustainable Organic Palm oil*, Essential oils of Orange and Litsea, Vitamin E oil.

Organic Washcloth Scrolls

In days gone by, many important messages were written on parchment scrolls, and wax was used to seal them closed. The unbroken wax seal was used to show the recipient that the item had not been tampered with, and was pure and authentic.

Here in Green Haven, the wise woman of the forest wishes to convey a message of being as kind to the Earth (and yourself) as possible. So her scrolls are not made of paper, but are instead crocheted out of the best organic cotton yarn she could find.

The cotton is luxuriously soft to the touch. It has been hand harvested and hand sorted. Absolutely no pesticides, herbicides or any chemical of any kind has touched this lovely cotton. And the colors come from Mother Nature herself, not from a dye.

Once the organic cotton arrives to her cottage in the forest, she crochets it into lovely washcloths. The washcloths are then rolled up into scrolls, tied with a biodegradable ribbon, and finished off with a wax seal. So just like the parchment scrolls of old, you are getting a pure and authentic scroll; though a softer and lovelier one for sure.

The scrolls all average around 5 1/2 by 5 3/4 inches. You will receive three washcloth scrolls for the price of $10 a set (I have 3 sets available). One in cream, one in gray and one in chestnut brown. They all have a small loop for hanging them to dry between baths.

If you wish to clean them, it is advised to either hand wash them in a basin, or use the hand wash cycle on your automatic washerwoman. Lay them flat to dry.

And the generous sea salt content gave St. Brendan that extra lather he needed for his journey to the new world.

Salt bars are a unique treasure. Almost half of the recipe is made up of fine sea salt. The result is a creamy, lotion like lather. The first few times you use your salt bar, it will feel exfoliating and a bit rough. However, after a few uses, it will begin to smooth out. It will thereon out feel as if you are bathing with a river stone - a smooth river stone that lathers like a lotion.

Salt bars from Green Haven Soaps also have the added benefit of Dead Sea Mineral Mud swirled in. Dead Sea Mineral Mud is said to have a high concentration of minerals that cleanse and purify the skin thus allowing it to better absorb moisture. Experience it for yourself....

It's fluffy like cotton candy almost. Rub the washcloth on your skin and the lather turns creamy like a lotion. It feels good, doesn't it? :)

Traditional Castile soap uses olive oil as the only soaping oil. True castile soaps are mild and gentle, and as such, they are perfect as a facial soap. The lather is low and creamy - almost slippery. You will get more lather out of it by using a washcloth, than just by flipping it in your hands.

Castile soaps are known as the Queen of Soaps. As royal crowns are hard to come by, you might need a few these to prove your sovereignty.
