Vintage Craft Kit Old Fashioned Carousel Dover Publishing

$15.00
An Old Fashioned Carousel is a vintage craft kit by Dover Publishing. Printed on oaktag, the book contains full instructions, and pieces needed to create a 3 dimensional Old Fashioned Carousel. It was written in 1985 by A.J. Smith. The finished piece measures in at over 12 inches in diameter and has all the color and look of your favorite theme park Merry-Go-Round.

This could make a nice centerpiece for a children's party and a nice project to share with older children.

As I suggest with ALL my vintage craft kits, you might want to invest in the oaktag, in order to make copies. This way you can make the carousel and have the book intact for future use.

An Old Fashioned Carousel measures 9 1/4 inches by 12 and is in good shape.

Vintage Silk Scarf by Vera Earthtone Geometric Design

$12.50
A stunning vintage silk scarf in a bold earthtone geometric design by Vera. The golds, browns, rich rust tone orange, are highlighted by the understated black backround. This piece is further highlighted by a repeat of the rust tone orange as the finishing stitching along the scarf's edge.

The scarf measures 25 inches by 25 and is in good vintage shape. The material good and there are no tears or fraying. It does have 2 small stains that are visible in the upper right gold/bronze color segment that is diagonal to the Vera signiture.

This piece would need to be cleaned. I am a bit uncomfortable tackling silk and don't want to risk damaging such a stunning piece. I think that the colors are great and would work well to add as a final touch flourish to your outfit.

Anchor Hocking Forest Green Tumbler with Vintage Marbles

The tumbler is the 8 ounce roly poly style and the vintage marbles are an assortment of slags, cateyes, game pieces and shooters.

It can make the perfect objet d'art for people accused of "having lost their marbles". You can truthfully say that you know exactly where your's are! Actually, I think marbles are happy little things and cute, and I have acquired a few more than I really, really need.

Unfortunately due to weight and shipping logistics, I will only be offering this lot within the U.S.

CAUTION: Due to their size, color and shape, marbles DO pose a choking hazard and are not for young children.

2 Mt Pleasant Tumblers in Cobalt Blue Depression Glass

$30.00
These are footed tumblers in cobalt blue depression glass. The pattern Mt. Pleasant, by the L.E. Smith Glass Company has rounded tapering perfect for sundaes or parfaits.

They were produced during the 1920's through 1934 and still retain some of the original platinum banding. This is a thick sturdy glass, so is suitable for everyday use. The rounded tapering also creates a very comfortable and secure feel when holding the glass. Your fingers fit into the grooves, perfectly!

They stand 6 inches tall, are 3 inches across at the rim and have a 3 inch base. There are in wonderful shape with no chips, no cracks or flea bites.

They hold approximately 8 ounces and were originally classified within L.E. Smith's "tearoom" collection.

Vintage Ephemera Hump Hairpins

$6.50
This is an interesting find of vintage ephemera, advertising combined with health and beauty. Hump Hairpins have a distinct style to hold the more elaborate coifs of yesteryear.

Originally these sold from The NAMM Store in Brooklyn for the astronomical price of 5 cents. The original store sticker is still attached and could be utilized to do further research or add to the appeal for a native New Yorker. And based upon the picture within the package I'm dating these back to between 1900 through the 1920's.

There is minor staining on the front cover and unfortunately the store tag covers part of the graphics, but hey, the tag is vintage too. I also feel that this tiny treasure displays better opened.

This is a great little find!

The understated simplicity give this pattern a timeless appeal.

They are in great shape! There is no chipping, no cracks or fleabites. The original craftsman got one of her arms on backwards. I didn't want to attempt to correct this, not knowing the adhesive used. This oops could be easily repainted or left as is for additonal personality.

They are a nice compact size, measuring 4 1/2 inches by 5 for Raggedy Andy and 3 3/4 by 5 on Humpty. There is one or 2 very minor chips in the paint, again very easily corrected, and simple hangers attached on the backs.

Vintage Goldtone and Enamel Lifesize Bumble Bee Brooch

$15.00
This vintage brooch is a lifesized rendition of a bumble bee in goldtone metal and a lovely jadite green enamel higlighting the bee's spread wings.

The soft jadite green enamel adds the perfect touch of color to the three dimensional and textured anatomy of our bee. This piece measures 1 1/4 inches from front to hind legs and is also 1 1/4 inches across through the widest poertion of its wings.

The detailing is phenominal! You can see and feel the texture of the striping and hairs within the bee's "fur". The segmented antenae are clearly defined and the gossemer shimmer of the wings is nicely represented by the translucent enameling.

The brooch is in fairly good shape. There is some wear to the enamel along the wing's edges. This shows much more prominantly within the pictures and is barely, barely noticeable when actually looking at the piece.

The eyes are hollowed. I don't know if they housed stones or pearls at one point, but it would be an easy addition to add even more impact to this unique brooch. Small pearls or rhinestones would make nice accents and add even more sparkle.

It's clasp is just about 5/8 inches and in full working order.

The pattern is Swirl, produced by Jeanette in 1937 - 1938.

Their color is not as commonly seen in depression era glassware and is a rich and vibrant teal, making them a wonderful choice that will add impact to any table. Each candlestick has 2 candle cups and is further highlighted by a scallop shaped wave of glass between each actual holder that continues to flow outward onto its, just past 4 inch, scalloped base.

They are in phenominal shape! There is no chipping, no cracks or flea bites. Each piece stands an impressive 5 1/2 inches tall with a width of 6 inches. Add candles in staggered heights to create an instant centerpiece to your table. There is also enough substance to place one on either side of a fireplace atop of the mantle.

The color is intense and will work beautifully with whites and ivory and be just as impressive on the wild side with black, pinks, golds and shades of purple.

These are slightly different patterns based upon the styling of this line's base. They are commonly used with the pattern Bubble as "completer pieces", and can be found in the clear and ruby colored glass, also.

This pattern is one of many accessory pieces produced by Anchor Hocking in the 1950's through 1960's, that can be used to add a festive touch to either Christmas or St. Patrick's Day table settings.

Each piece measures 4 inches tall, is 3 3/4 inches across to upper rim with a base that is 2 3/4 wide. They are in good shape with no chips, cracks or flea bites. These are also commonly known as Boopie.

It was orginally produced by the elegant glassware company Fostoria, which closed down in the 1960's The Indiana Glass company and Colony have also produced this great optical pattern. The Indiana and Colony pieces are distinguished by the "Whitehall" addition to the name.

These are Whitehall glasses. They have a wonderful shot of color in the ruby flashing along the glass's rim. They are in great shape and hold 12 ounces. It's a thick and sturdy glass, very usable for everyday. There are no chips or cracks and the tumblers stand 6 inches tall.

I would recommend hand washing to help maintain the ruby finish along the top.
And in the age of the electric can opener, this little beauty is so functional and becoming harder to find.

It measures 5 inches in length and has a stainless steel opener attached to a sterling silver handle. The oxidation is a natural aged finish. I just think that the silver is enhanced with some black showing. It could be polished up to a sparkly shine if that's your preference.

It has a sterling mark along the back of the piece, a scallop shell motif along the top edge and light scrollwork along the handle.

Father's Day is just around the corner and this would be the perfect guy gift! Well, it was, when I first offered this. Makes a perfect stocking stuffer, too!

Dots is one of about 4 -5 patterns under the umbrella name Capri by Hazel Atlas. They were produced in the 1960s in this great shade of blue known as azure.

Some of the sub-division patterns also featured dishes and serving pieces. They all go beautifully together

The glasses are in great shape and would really perk up a bar. They stand 3 1/2 inches tall and will hold 8 ounces.

Unfortunately, due to the weight of this item, I can only offer it for the United States.

I do have quite a few different pieces of Dots scattered throughout my shop. If you're interested in more than one lot, please send me a message with your zip code for a combined shipping quote. The savings could be substantial!

This is a baby blue wool coat and bonnet made for a little girl. I am basing the "wool" upon the feel of the material. It isn't listed on the fairly frayed lable.

It's in size 2, union made, with elastic around the cuff area and fully lined. It could be a great outfit for a larger sized doll or framed for a unique look. It has 8 mother of pearl buttons highlighting the soft blue and is in very good shape.

There are no holes or tears. It does have a couple of light tiny stains. I am not a textiles or vintage clothing expert and don't want to risk damaging the piece trying to remove them. They are NOT obvious and wouldn't interfere with the display of this adorable outfit.

On my computer the color more closely matches the last 3 pictures. I had attmepted to 'auto correct' the color for the first pic and the process wouldn't reverse.

It measures 18 inches from the collar top to the hem of the coat. The sleeves are 10 1/2 inches from the shoulder seem to cuff and has a circumferance of 47 inches along the hemline THIS IS A LOVELY OUTFIT!!!!

The kit has everything needed to produce the cover picture, except a hammer and needlenose pliers (to help steady the nails)

The finished piece measures 12 inches by 16. And it's minimalist styling along with its great retro 60's, 70's colors could make a really nice edition to contemporary decor. The original fortunoff price tags are still intact, and the kit is still hoping for a little help, so it can live on a wall. It's becoming claustrophobic!

Ronson is announcing that it is the "World's Greatest Lighter", and they are. Its original box is in very good shape.

The lighter measures about 3 inches by 2, and has some weight to it, giving it "substance". They just don't make them like this, anymore.

Lastly, the wick is still white, I believe that this lighter is in unused condition.

Being a petite 3 inches tall they could also be great shot glasses or used as cordials.

Their light green glass phosphoresces when exposed to a ultra violet or black light, so do have some "inner child" entertainment value.

As stated, they are a mere 3 inches tall, are 2 inches across the rim and 1 1/2 inches at the base. They're in great shape with no chips, no fleabites, and no cracks, other than what they are supposed to have. They hold just past 3 ounces.

There is vertical design element that can be felt along the inner sides of the glasses that adds a touch of an additional optical affect.

These would make a stunning addition to either your vintage kitchen glassware, and add a great splash of color to your bar.
1937 Christmas Carols Music Book from Simon and Schuster

$17.50
Published in 1937, by Simon and Schuster, "Christmas Carols", is a wonderful collection of traditional holiday music. Along with the classic carols, Silent Night, and others listed on the cover, you will find, Deck the Halls, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, and a host of other Christas choices.

The pages have been illustrated by Hendrik William Van Loon, who has also written a bit of history about each song towards the back of the book.

Grace Castagnetta has simplified some of the actual music, with "performance" and familiararity in mind.

This is a 61 page, soft cover book and is in phenominal condition, for its 72 years of age. There's some wear along its binding, where the red has worn and the white shows through. There's also a tiny bit of dog earing along the bottom edges of the first pages of the book. It is still in very, very useable shape and the paper is sound.

It measures 12 inches by 9. It would make a wonderful vintage addition for a musical family at holiday time.

Please note;

The little Santa's are not included. They were used to help prop open the book. Sorry.

Its soft cranberry shade is perfect for a Victorian Style Christmas! And "we" know how hard it is to find nice shades of mauves and pinks suitable for the holidays!

This little beauty stands just shy of 4 inches tall, making a nice sized piece, to use as a creamer, to add a nice Cottage Style element to your table.

It's in grat shape, with no chips, no cracks or flea bites.
4 Pink Depression Glass Flat Soup Bowls Sandwich Pattern

Sandwich patterns are noted for their lacy scrollwork type patterning. Numerous companies have their own particular sandwich line.

I have been unable to satisfactorily identify this bowl. It most closely resembles a Westmoreland pattern known as Princess Feather, but I am not 100% certain. Princess Feather is not one of the more readily available patterns so doesn't turn up in the standardised glass books in print today.

They are in a lovely shade of pink glass and in great shape! There is no chipping, no cracks or flea bites. They measure 9 inches across from rim to rim. The actual bowl portion is at 7 inches, and they are 1 1/2 inches high.

They would work equally well for either soup or salad. They're big enough for pastas or stews. And their lacy sandwich patterning would blend very easily with other sandwich styles.

Unfortunately, due to weight restraints, I can only offer this within the United States.

Included is an old Shell Station roadmap an an older city subway guide produced by Chemical Bank.

The coloring of the map is very different than is seen today and Kennedy Airport goes back past before the airport was named Idlewild, for a nice snippet of History. The map does have a small tear along one of its creases of about one inch. ( see pic )I didn't want to risk further tearing by fully opening the map. It could be framed for a quirky NYC look and the small tear would be unnoticeable.

the Subway guide is at leat 30 years old and was offered by Chemical Bank. I found a phone number and it is utilising the older letter exchange.

If needed, I have more pictures that I could email.

It is done in goldtones and has a cental round faux emerald to add additional dazzle.

My pictures, unfortunately DO NOT do justice to this little beauty. It is a hair past an inch in diameter, with wonderful balance and proportion.

A round 3/16 inch emerald is surrounded by 7 slightly smaller rhinestones. In turn, there is a circling of 12 tiny faux pearls which continue with 2 graduated smaller ones up through each ray of the starburst design. AND it is all tied together within a goldtone setting to create a classic and timeless piece.

The piece is small enough to not be ostentatious, but sparkly and colorful enough to add a nice accent to just about ANY outfit. casual? business? formal?

This could also be a perfect somethong old gift for a bride.

My pictures aren't great. Due to it's ongoing popularity has earned a place in most depression glass publications.

These are the salad or bread plates. They measure 6 1/2 inches side to side and are in great shape. There are no chips or cracks. It was produced by Anchor Hocking in the 1950's and 60's in a simple understated square shape. It doesn't have the lacy designs found in alot of glass patterns but its vibrant Forest Green color and shape make it a perennial favorite.

It was originally produced with Christmas use in mind and would work beautifully on your holiday table. It's lack of adornment makes it super easy to work with and what a splash of color!

They are a nice sturdy glass making them good for everyday use. I also have quite a bit of Forest Green listed. If you are interested in possibly beginning a collection of this pattern please get in touch with me for a combined shipping quote.

You will be able to point out that you know exactly where yours are!

The sugar bowl is in very good shape with no chips, no cracks or flea bites. The marbles are a blend of catseyes, slags, with a couple of shooters thrown in , ... just in case someone wants to compete in playing.

I don't know much about marbles; I just like them and think they're happy little things. ( Actually, I'm refusing to learn about them. They're little and it would be way, way too easy to justify, ... a new collectible direction for me to run with.)

1943 Imperial Chromat-O-Scope Slide Viewer with Slides

This simpler older model has a slot where a photo cell slide is inserted, held up towards a light source for viewing the individual pictures.

The Chromat-O-Scope, patented in 1943 is still in its original box and there is a bonus box just crammed with between 100 to 200 vintage slides, dating from the 1940's and 1950's. The slide count is closer to the 200 range. I measured the mint box at a hair past 9 inches. I counted out 10 slides and they measured 1/2 inch when stacked.

I acquired this set from an estate sale of a named artist. And of course, after writng down her name to ask an artist friend of mine for more info, I lost the little scrap of paper.

The viewer measures 3 1/2 inches by 2 1/2. The slides have been stored in a Perroquet mints box and has been "labeled" rejects along the edge in pencil. The Chromat-O-Scope Company was based in Los Angeles. The unit features a removable lens for ease of cleaning and according to its box will also help to create a 3-D affect while viewing pictures.

Done with a white gloss finish, it can be blended into, just about anywhere! It has the McCoy mark from the 1940's thru 1960's range with scrolled tab handles giving the piece a classic urn like appearance.

It measures 9 1/2 inches across the 2 handles, just shy of being 6 inches tall and has a 5 inch opening at the top of the pot, with its footed base coming in at 4 1/2 inches. For its age, it's in very good shape.

The glaze is still glossy and smooth to the touch. There are no chips and no cracks to be found. There is crazing, which is the fine lines within the piece, which does show in the pictures. The bottom has the stylised McCoy signiture mark, which also shows in the pics. The pot's underside has a generous glaze application, so the mark may be blurred.

It's a nice sized pot and it's ivory toned white coloring makes it super easy to work with in most decors, and a great vintage geranium pot for your deck or patio.

Fenton Candle Bowl/Chip and Dip in Hobnail Milk Glass

Done in hobnail milk glass and bearing the Fenton mark on its underside, this piece is truly multifunctional.

There is a central inner circle that could either house a pillar candle and have the outer circle working as a fresh flower ring, ...

OR, ...

If you are not feeling flowery, the center could be used for dip and the outer ring would look stunning with a colorful crudite presentation of fresh vege's

Chips and salsa wouldn't be bad either. The salsa would POP against the snow white milk glass.

So many uses!

The bowl is in great shape. There are no chips, no cracks or fleabites. It's also not an overpowering size as alot of older glass consoles are. Measuring only 8 inches across, it will not overpower your table. And yet, it is big enough for my envisioned uses, and I'm sure you can think of a host of other possibilities!

The inner ring is 4 inches across and close to an inch deep, making it capable of holding about 4 to 6 ounces of a dip. There is 2 inches all the way around to either hold snacks or create plenty of space for fresh flowers, with, maybe a sprig or 2 of ivy cascading over its sides and a nice pillar candle swapping out the dip.

Oh, and Fenton says it's an ashtray, too.

Unfortunately, I can only offer this to the U.S. It's weighs a ton.

It measures 13 1/2 inches by 11 and is a half inch in thickness, 80 pages to color.

There are pics to color covering the gamut of Christmas prep by Santa and shopping and decorating as a family gets ready for the holiday. We get to watch as Mother and Daddy and Peter and Jane and baby and Grandma do some shopping, pick out a tree, make decorations and bake some homemade Christmas cookies.

Santa and his elves are busy making toys to be ready for the BIG night.

It was produced by the Whitman Publishing Company in 1955 and unfortunately, it is beginning to show its 54 years. The pages are beginning to brown, the cover has become detached and there is fraying along the edges of pages, some of which have become brittle.

It's still a fun holiday item and uncolored. The vibrant vintage colors adorn the front and back covers with flocking adding texture to Santa's suit on the front. There are 80 pages and this book offers a wonderful glimpse back to a traditional mid century family Christmas.

The Hop Ching Chinese Checkers game was produced in the New York City by the Pressman Toy Corporation.

The 2 game boards, one being Chinese checkers, the other, traditional checkers, are the "covers", of this lithoed tin reclosable case. The original game pieces are stored inside.

It measures 13 1/2 inches square and has its original unused playing pieces. The marbles and checkers are in their original holder that fits securely within the metal. For the truly adventerous, you will find a re order form for replacement pieces.

There are a few condition issues.

It has a small dent in the upper lefthand corner and a touch of rust on the inside. The closing mechanism works, but it is necessary to jiggle it a bit, due to a minor misalignment or warping, possibly caused by whatever was responsible for the denting.

The case is a mere 1 inch thick, so there is also a wonderful potential to ultilise the game as retro or vintage wall decor when not in use. A simple hook or nail and instead of "putting it away", Hang it up on your wall, by its gamecase handle, to add a splash of vintage color to your bar area, game or family room.

Due to weigth contstraints, I can only offer this game within the U.S.

Vintage Sewing Lot Threads Needle Cases Pins Tape Measure

$12.50
Included in this vintage sewing ephemera lot are old wooden thread spools, a vintage German needle case with great retro graphics, boxed threads, pins, a tape measure and other sewing related goodies.

This grouping would make a wonderful decorative display for your favorite seamstress. The Bowstring threads have 11 spools of green thread instead of the original 12. I did discover a little blue thread stowaway tucked inside.

The 3 larger wooden thread spools measure 3 3/4 in. tall for the largest, 2 1/4 in. for the off white spool and dark blue comes in at just a hair past 2.

There is some damage at the very end of the metal incased tape measure; its end has been knotted at the i 1/2 inch point. This lot also includes a wooden crochet hook, a wooden 6 inch ruler (from the Kalt Lumber company), additional sewing needles and a package of straight pins made in the U.S. by Clinton.

The downside of this grouping is that there is a musty odor present. If you are sensitive or have allergies, this probably isn't a good choice for you.

I have offered this at a low price to hopefully compensate for this flaw.

This is a 9 1/2 crimped bowl that features a double ruffling along its upper rim.

Moonstone was produced between 1941 through 1946 by the Hocking glass company. Its soft opalescense make it a nice choice for a Cottage or possibly even a Victorian decor.

The bowl is in very good shape with no chips, no cracks, or flea bites. It measures the 9 1/2 inches across and stands about 3 inches high.

Please, read through my shop policies:
http://www.etsy.com/shop_policy.php?user_id=5766314 to find out about shipping and other important issues.
They have milk glass straw bottom portions and are topped with black amethyst lifelike 'blackberries'.

They measure an impressive 8 1/2 inches in length, long enough to dress up beverages served in iced tea or Tom Collins tumblers. The berry is a life size rendition of a real blackberry coming in at just shy of 1 inch in length and 3/4 of an inch in width.

They're in great shape with no chips, cracks or rough spots, and will add a wonderful flourish when serving tall cool drinks.

I do have sets of iced tea/ Tom Collins tumblers listed within my shop. If interested in blending, please send me a message with your zip for a combined shipping quote. These do not weigh much and could probably ship out for no additional costs if combined with glassware.

Vintage Berry Print Fabric Yardage Woolworths 3 yards

$15.00
This is a nice raspberry print vintage fabric, with its original Woolworth "primstyle" labels and packaging. It is a colorfast rayon cotton blend measuring 3 yards by 45 inches.

This material is in a country berry print in pinks and green against a white backround, making it a nice choice for kitchen use. The larger berry clusters are approximately 4 by 3 inches with the single berries in at about 1 by 2. The actual berries are 3/4 inches round.

You will need to launder this fabric. I did not want to disturb the original paper lables. There is some greyish storage staining along the edges of the bolt. It isn't very dark and should be easy to remove, or work around. It was a hard choice, of do I wash this or keep the labels. I hope that you don't mind my decision.

Woolworth's and Woolco closed in my area in the late 1970's - early 1980's and this package and 2 others that I will be lisitng came from an estate sale located in the same town as the now defunct Woolco.

One of the towells is a wild turquoise, yellow and lavender, "flower power" type of print. The other is a bit more traditional featuring vibrant pink cherry clusters, with a repeating border of smaller cherry groupings.

These have not been used, but would need laundering. I didn't want to disturb the original labels and left them unwashed. They are a nice size, measuring 28 inches by approximately 16 inches.

I did discover quite a nice selection of unused vintage kitchen linens, packed away in an old cedar chest recently at an estate sale, and I will be listing the sets in the coming weeks.

The piece has the Westmoreland mark on the underside of the glass and is done in a frosted satin green glass.

Another nice feature is the split stem that connects the lotus bowl to its stem. The frosted or satin finish softens the color just a touch producing a very pretty shade of green and the lotus petals are in understated clean lines making this a very blendable accent piece that will work with any decor.

The compote stands 3 3/4 inches tall, has a 6 inch diameter bowl ontop of a 3 inch base. The double stem portion is an inch in length and adds an extra bit of style.

It is in very good shape. There are no chips, no cracks or flea bites. The "W" within an oval Westmoreland mark is stamped on the underside of its base.

They are authentic trademarked images of the original Kewpie artist Rose O'Neill.

There are still 9 of the original 10 cards, complete with their original box and lid. They measure 5 inches by 5 inches and are blank inside, allowing plenty of room for personal messages.

Who doesn't like a Kewpie? I found out recently on About.com that Kewpies are little good deed doers, and it looks as though this group is giving a concert for the little birds gathered in the lower lefthand corner. Maybe they're teaching the birds some new songs.

This is a cute little set and sure to bring a smile and powerful mojo to those lucky chosen few, that receive one of these from you. ( Forgive me, I had to get "Mojo" worked in, somehow, -- My avatar made me do it)

Whether you like the vintage look or contempary clothing styles, there are pieces within the patterns to appeal to everybody's tastes.

There are color and black and white photos throughout and full instructions for both men's and lady's apparel.

Not showing in the pics: The inner back cover also is an added bonus.
Vintage Fabric Yardage Original Labels Over 3 yards

It is a colorfast 100% cotton measuring 3 5/8 yards by 36 inches.

This material is in a vibrant floral print in harvest gold, a light orange, spring green that are against an off white backround. The large gold colored flower is 4 inches by 3 1/2, the orange blooms are roughly 2 by 2 1/2, and the gold toned flower clusters come in at approximately 5 by 3.

You will need to launder this fabric. I did not want to disturb the original paper lables. I do not see any stains, but this fabric has some age to it. I think it would be great for throw pillows in a sunroom or screened in porch! The colors are just Soooo lively and perky.

Woolworth's and Woolco closed in my area in the late 1970's - early 1980's and this package and 2 others that I will be lisitng came from an estate sale located in the same town as the now defunct Woolco.

Please, read through my shop policies:
http://www.etsy.com/shop_policy.php?user_id=5766314 to find out about shipping and other important issues.

Produced in the 1960's in a wonderful shade of turquoise blue known officially as azure, Dots is one of the pattern names for an overall grouping known as Capri. Due to it's popularity, you will find this pattern often listed in depression glass valuation books.

This tumbler is 5 inches in height and a little bit harder to come by than the other sizes that I have listed. 3 are in great shape showing no chipping or cracks. One does have a small chip on the bottom of the glass, but it will not affect usage. Each will hold between 8 and 9 ounces.

I have some of the other Dots pieces scattered throughout my shop. If you are interested in more than one size, please contact me so I can figure out a combined shipping price. We can discuss discounts too!

Nippon Era Handpainted Noritake Cups and Saucers 4 sets

$39.50
This is a wonderful Nippon era set of handpainted Noritake cups and saucers. They depict a scenic design highlighted with a pair of swans upon a lake. The soft pastel colors are beautifully applied to both cup and saucer and the cups have the handpainted Nippon mark surrounding the classic Noritake M within the wreath.

"Nippon" is a date type designation for Japanese pottery and china and is usually written as part of the marks found. The production years were between 1891 through 1921. Before this time it was not necessary for exported items to America to have a maker's mark.

This lovely set could be a beautiful and thoughtful, something old, gift for a bride. Swans are traditional symbols of monogomy and associated with marriage because of their graceful beauty and total commitment to each other.

This lovely set is in very good shape with only some minor loss to the gold on the cup handles. There is no chipping or cracks.

The cups measure 3 inches across and the saucers are about 5 inches.

Due to their age and delicate nature I recommend hand washing.

The pattern is Bubble and the set includes a serving bowl, 4 berry bowls and a bonus of 4 6inch bread plates.

It would be perfect for a casual brunch, especially if paired with country blue and white linens and a perky vase of daisies. Bubble was produced by Anchor Hocking beginning in 1941 and as its name implies the pattern is of raised circles throughout the pieces.

This lot consists of an 8 inch serving bowl, 4 4 1/2 inch berry bowls and the 4 6 inch bread plates that could be used as liners for the bowls or for eggs benidict for a casul yet elegant brunch.

The pieces are in very good shape. There are no chips, no cracks or flea bites. The berry bowls are a bit harder to come by in this pattern. AND this is a very sturdy depression glass pattern, making it very serviceable for everyday use. It's soft blue would work well in either a Country or Shabby decor.

I do have quite a few lots of Bubble throughout my shop. It is an estate sale find and possibly an Anchor hocking pattern based upon the starburst on the liner's bottom. I have been unable to identify the pattern. It comes close, ... to quite a few, ... BUT???

There is a lovely optical pattern, which due to its simplicity make these very blendable with other pieces of depression era glassware.

They are in wonderful shape! There is no chipping, no cracks or fleabites.

The sherbet stands 3 inches tall and is 4 inches across the bowl's rim. The liner is 6 inches. And being vaseline glass, will glow beautifully when exposed to a black light.

Unfortunately, due to weight, I can only offer this set within the U.S.

It includes 4 cups and saucers and 4 8 inch plates.

This pattern was produced by Hazel Atlas between 1930 - 1936, and as its name implies, clover or shamrocks form the lacy pattern encircling the pieces. Its pink color make it a nice addition for either a Cottage or Shabby Decor. It could make a nice table setting for St. Patrick's Day if blended with green chargers or table linens.

The pieces are in very good shape. There are no chips, no cracks or flea bites. There are some light usage marks on the plates, but this is to be expected, due to age.

The plate is 8 inches in diameter with the saucer coming in at 5 inches and a 3 inch diameter cup.

This is a very nice service for either real use or a wonderful addition of pink to add in to a depression glass collection.

Unfortunately due to weight contstaints, I will only be offering this within the U.S.

This is an old wooden box by the Kraft Cheese Company, for its iconic product, Kraft American Cheese. In addition to the classic appeal of an iconic name brand, it's generous size makes it a practical kitchen addition.

Measuring 9 inches in length, by 3 inches across, and about 2 3/4 inches deep, napkins or recipes or even flatware or straws could be placed comfortably within. I'm sure that you can think of alot more potential purposes for this wonderful piece of yesteryear.

It's unfinished wood and simple stamping would blend in
perfectly with a primitive or country look.

The illustrations are done in vibrant colors as can only really be found in yesteryear treasures.

There are some age related issues. There is a couple of chips missing and tear in the front cover, and the pages have browned with age. There is also a bit of fraying along corners and edges. This isn't bad considering that this is a 63 year old child's book.

The book measures 9 3/4 by 9 3/4 inches and has 4 pages of the trials of poor little Jimmy. This is a nice addition for a childhood memory book collection.

Silvercrest is a Fenton line whose standout feature is a piping of clear glass along the rim edges of the white milk glass base. It's amazing how much elegance is created by this simple addition of clear glass against the white.

There is absolutely no chipping, no cracks or any other condition issue. It has a height of approximately 2 inches.

You can see the signiture and Fenton mark in the pics.

The understated elegance of this bowl make it a wonderful choice for traditonal or cottage decors.

New Martinsville Fancy Squares 2 Place Settings in Amethyst

It has 2 place settings consisting of 2 cups, 2 saucers and 2 luncheon plates.

The pattern is in a squared shape, popular again today with detailing in the rounding of the " fancy square " corners. They would be perfect for a late start breakfast for 2 or a nice decorative touch for a long leisurely gossipy lunch with one of your girl friends.

Alot of depression glass was not tempered so when in use place the teaspoon in the cup as a heat absorber when pouring hot liquids.

Amethyst will blend beautifully with pink and cobalt glass and a truly dramatic affect can be achieved if blended with cobalt and forest green. This is how I acquired sooo much glass. The color possibilities for creating tablescapes just blows me away!

The cup measures 3 inches.
Saucer is in at 5 1/2.
Luncheon plate measures 8 inches across.

The wooden blocks, shaped like logs with notches at the ends to interlock the pieces.

This is a western themed set from 1978 with all sorts of cool stuff, that they just didn't have when I was a kid. There are gables and clips and signs to help a child or inner child re create log cabins from the Wild West Days!

This set has close to 200 pieces and building ideas shown on the back of the box. The box shows a bit of wear, which is to be expected, since everyone loves Lincoln Logs, and it's a given that this set WAS played with.

Unfortunately due to its weight I can only offer this great find within the U.S.

They are 100% linen and still have their original labels!

This set is done in a cream colored linen with a nice shade of yellowish orange running the central length of the towells., and highlighted with a checkerboard patterning along the central borders. It's a nice color choice for either fall or spring.

These have not been used, but would need laundering. I didn't want to disturb the original labels and left them unwashed. They are HUGE! They measure a very generous 32 inches by just past 22 inches. It just might be big enough to do double duty as a tablecloth for a child's table, as they have their doll tea parties.

I did discover quite a nice selection of unused vintage kitchen linens, packed away in an old cedar chest recently at an estate sale, and I will be listing the sets in the coming weeks.

The pattern is Bubble in their saphire blue shade, and the piece used is the 5 1/2 inch cereal bowl, paired with vintage marbles.

The cereal bowl is in very good shape. There are no cracks or chipping. I don't know much about vintage marbles. I just like them.

I have filled it with an assortment of vintage marbles, so you never have to worry that someone can say that you have lost your marbles again. You'll know exactly where they are.

There are 2 shooters included in the mix and I kind of like the blending of the bowls pattern with its contents.

Please be advised that the marbles ARE NOT suitable for young children because they can be a choking hazard.

Framed Vintage Print Sleepyhead by Charlot Byj

This framed print shows a yawning toddler who is falling out of both P.J.s and slippers, while staggering along clutching a teddy bear.

There is a blending of both pinks and blues making this print very suitable for either a little boy or little girl. The frame is white with a highlighting line of blue. The pajamas are also blue, but the bunny slippers and Teddy's bow are in pink.

And the "CUTE" factor is off the charts. A bunny slipper has fallen off, the p.j.'s trap door shows just a hair of a little butt peaking through, but Teddy is still firmly being held onto, (priorities - gotta have 'em) as this little guy or little girl has begun to work his or her way to, ... to somewhere.

The great vintage graphics capture all the charm of young children. Little rosy cheeks and little chubby arms AND a headful of curls. It just doesn't get any better!

This would make a wonderful baby shower gift and finishing touch for a nursury.

It measures 13 by 17 along the outer frame edges and other than a few very minor scuffs in the frames finish, is in very good shape! The back has a seal by Fleck Brothers.
These tumblers were produced in the 1950's through 1967, and this vibrant green is a great touch for either Christmas or St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

The glasses measure 4 1/2 inches tall and are in great shape. There is no chipping or cracks. They hold 10 ounces and would work beautifully with the Forest Green Anchor Hocking pitcher that I also have listed.

Due to its popularity, and even though this pattern is not "official" depression glass, it has earned its way into most valuation guides devoted to the depression era.

I do have quite a bit of Forest Green listed throughout the shop. Included, in this grouping, is a Celery platter and 5 open salts. It is in very good shape with only a bit of wear to the gold trim. There is no chipping, cracks or crazing.

The platter measures just shy of 13 inches by, just shy of 6 inches and has a depth of 2. The salts are 3 3/4 by 2 1/4 with a depth of a half inch.

The elegant yet understated gold and white design makes this a great choice for holiday tables. And how great would sushi be served in this wonderful old Japanese service?

They are made of wood, measure 1 inch by 2 and have a stunning dimensionl dragon on the underside of the tiles.

I have honestly never played a game of dominoes, so am unable to go into the game's virtues, 'cause I haven't got a clue. It's a classic game and its box has super retro graphics of red, black and white. It could be a fun and colorful addition to a classic vintage game collection.

The box measures 11 1/2 inches in length by 2 1/4 width and is 1 3/4 high. The edges of the box is scuffed, but there are no torn or detached corners. The playing pieces are in really good shape.

It is at least 30 years old based upon the frame shop information stamped on the back of the piece. The phone number is showing a word exchange and not the numeric one in use today. There is no zip code showing either

I haven't decided if this is a North Pole Elf relaxing after Christmas or a Garden Gnome " chillin' " after standing outside in the hot summer sun.

Maybe he does seasonal work.

It's in great shape and a bit of batting has been added under the actual stich work during the framing process. There are a couple if tiny nicks in the corners of the frame. This has nice perky colors and would make a additon to a country/casual sun room. It measures 10 3/4 by 14 1/2 inches.

It features 12 colorful, traditonal jumping jack ornaments with great colorful graphics and full instructions for constructing large sized pieces featuring moving parts.

The finished pieces are HUGE! With vibrant coloring! They run between about 6 inches in height for Santa in his sleigh up to 10 inches for a stocking filled with toys. It was produced by the elegant glass company Cambridge, and has the Cambridge mark on the underside of the piece.

It is in a nice clear pink glass. There are NO orangy undertones that can sometimes turn up in the older pink glass. It's in great shape with no chips or cracks.

The outer walls of the ice bucket are lightly textured to imitate the wood grain of an old oaken bucket, and if you follow the banding around there is the added touch of tiny impressed glass rivets fastening the bands going around this NOT so rustic bucket.

Being pink, it would work well within Cottage or Shabby Decor. It will add a nice shot of color to your bar or look great with a display of pink and green depression glass.

It stands a total of 9 1/2 inches tall at the handle. The actual 'bucket is 6 inches high and and just a hair past 5 inches along the upper rim.

These beautifully handpainted Noritake salts were produced in the Nippon era. Years of production for Nippon ran between 1891 and 1921.

The soft floral motif in shades of pink and green on a cream backround make these gems perfect for a Shabby or Cottage table setting. Housed in its own carrying case, this is a bonnet style hairdryer by Dominion.

Before the advent of blowdriers, this is what was used to help in styling hair. Hair would be set and the showercap-esque bonnet was worn to dry and heat set a head full of curlers or other processes.

These can serve the same function as the salon standing driers still in use today. It comes housed within a handled carrying case hence the portable designation.

It is still in working condition and a wonderful retro find!
The one flaw that I found was a vintage nail polish spill that shows on the side of the unit.

Unfortunately due to its weight, I will only be offering this in the U.S.

It's a great size for most kitchen tables and possibly smaller dining rooms

There are a couple of very minor stains that do show up in the pictures. ( I will continue to fight with these )

The lighter areas of white are caused by dining room mirrors and NOT a defect within the cloth. I also found a minor "almost hole", about 1/4 of an inch along one of the hemmed edges of the cloth.

This is a very nice piece of vintage traditional Christmas table linens. It would be very easy to incorporate some plain red napkins, a few candles, maybe some ornaments, and a simple pot of Poinsettas for a festive completed look.

$29.95
This is an absolutely stunning vintage cross stitch tablecloth. It incorporates cutwork in the center and this is lavishly surrounded with rose sprays and lit cross stitched candles.

The condition is phenominal! There is no staining, or frayed edges. The fabric is in great shape and it's a small 30 by 30 inch diameter making it very suitable to use as an additional decorative table topper for the round decorator tables.

I think that it would be a great final touch for tables dressed for celebrations. Try to imagine a birthday cake, ringed by the roses and candles or as the attention to detail flourish for a Cottage Style tea party.

Moderntne AKA Wedding Band was produced between 1932 - 1942 by Hazel Atlas. It's a understated art deco pattern of concentric bands within the glass.

It's clean lines make it a versatile pattern for either casual or more formal dining. And the rich cobalt blue is the magic color of glassware. Mind you, I have way too much of pretty much all the different colors., but the blue, ...

The set is 4 1/2 inches tall tapering down to a 1 1/2 inch base. It has a wonderful art deco look! The lids is in great shape, with no chips, cracks or flea bite. The lids though would really need ot be replaced. The tops have a few minor dings, and there is corosian/rust present along the top and the pictures don't show it all that well.
The original crafter has signed and dated her work. Smith vase in black amethyst depression glass. Black Amethyst glass is an extremely dark purple glass that appears black. If held up towards a light source you can "see" the dark rich purple. This vase has solid proportions to give you plenty of room for a nice, nice amount of flowers.

AND, ... it's black appearance could add a special touch at Halloween when filled with orange flowers. Or maybe for a spookier look, some decapitated stems in the wonderful 60's look created by Morticia Addams in the original campy sit-com, The Addams Family.

It's in great shape and has nice clean lines making it very blendable with other pieces. It has a raised pattern around the neck and the flaring bottom and wide openiing will help to accomadate tons of flowers! It is undamaged and 6 inches tall.

This little beauty is absolute knockout and would make a wonderful addition for the crackle glass collector. It stands 4 1/2 inches tall and has an attached handle in complimentary clear glass.

There is a small internal manufacturing flaw in the base of the handle, which feels completely smooth to the touch. The rim of this piece is crimped all the way around with one of the crimps being perfectly centered, forming a pouring spout.

And what a wild color!

It's kind of funny, I hate the color orange, but in glass, ... WOW!!!!

This is a set of 6 small tab handled dessert bowls in pink depression glass.

They measure 4 1/2 inches across and are in very good shape. There are no chips, no cracks, or flea bites. They are banded with either silver or platinum, are footed and executed in a thin lightweight cobalt blue.

They are delicate and suggest using them for them for festive occasions, and special events and friends. They do have a bit of loss in the metal banding, but this is very minor and considering their age and delicate nature, not at all bad. There is no chipping or cracks.

AND Cobalt blue, at least to me, is the magic color!

They stand 4 inches tall with a 2 inch base. Due to the metal banding and delicate nature I recommend hand washing.
