#7 in my Beach Angel Series. She is really elegant, sweet, serene.

11x14 Original Mixed Media Painting. Quality gallery wrapped canvas that is ready to hang, but could be framed. Sides are painted black & signed. Lots of work in this piece. The painting was prepared with fine beach sand to texture, it is then painted, ending with a light antique wash in the background & varnished to maintain brilliant color. The background is a beautiful sage color and has cream seashells overlaying it. Her wings are cream and white. Her hair has cobalt blue highlights. She has pretty shells, pearls & starfish in her hair, wears a pearl necklace. She's more beautiful in person than the photo shows.

This Angel is both strong and soft at the same time and seems to have a lot of compassion in it's eyes. The painting was started without any drawing or notions of how it would look other than the use of pink paint, the Angel just came to life on canvas with a soul of it's own.

~Angel of the Octopus~

This is an Original 16 x 20 acrylic painting on gallery canvas. Sides are painted black & signed. The background color is a soft sage with hints of blue. Colors are soft with pink & coral colors. Piece is varnished to protect. The Angel Mermaid is wearing a pearl necklace and a few of the pearls have a reflection of a heart in them. Schools of fish make her halo. This piece took lots of time to complete but I enjoyed every minute of it.

Ringo Starr's story of what an Octopus's Garden really is inspired me. Turns out Octopus are pretty amazing creatures. They are very intelligent and live in dens. When they catch a crab they take it to their den, they dine, then they stack the shells up neatly at the front door. They also like to collect shiny objects. The Octopus's garden essentially is all the lovely things he has stacked around his den. My octopus I am calling the "Jeweler". He is perhaps a great pearl collector. I love how he is showing off his prized pearl by holding his arms up mimicking a crown. Did you know that they had 3 hearts?

A sweet piece of art & coversation piece!

It's hard to keep the eyes off of this whimsical character. It's eyes also follow you. Following the wind without any plans... that's me & I have a wonderful time wherever I end up. There is a little sadness on one side of the face & happiness on the other, depicting the emotions you often feel when it's time to move on.

Unfortunately the photo doesn't capture the real beauty and monitors may vary. The background color is a soft sweet green & the flowers are a soft coral. This piece will add a little unexpected fun no matter where you place it. It's one of my favorites.

The song on the label was left untouched and shows through her hair and was the inspiration for this art piece.

The 2 different expressions on each side of the Angel's face give her unique character & evokes emotion. She is bright & cheerful or somber & reflective. The moon represents a journey through time. The pretty flower in her hair represents the bright side of life & eternal optimism. She was a fun piece to create!

Starlight Folk Art Angel on Wood

The first of several Starlight Angels I did on wood. It is on rough cut, uneven wood, with all it's wonderful imperfections left just as they are. I cut out the aceo size wood and the background wood then paint in acrylics the angel measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" (size of ACEO) and the polka dot Universe behind her measures 6" x 5" and is cut at an angel. It has a metal hanger on back and is signed on the side of the angel. It is varnished, however, picture was taken before varnishing to prevent glare.

This angel was recently hung at the Marco Fuoco Gallery in Sacramento, CA.

This lovely sunny angel was painted with no initial drawing and she came to life with a spirit and personality of her own! As with most of my angels her eyes seem to follow you and when viewing from one side to the other it appears she has 2 expressions, 2 different emotions. She will watch over you and keep you feeling sunny!

Colors are rich and bright on a 16 x 20 gallery wrapped canvas. Background colors range from deep red to lemon yellow and brush strokes show. She wears 2 little pink roses on her ponytails. Her fun brown eyes follow you and she will sunny up any spot you put her in to watch over you!

Monitor may vary so several pictures are provided to give you a better feel for actual colors. Sorry there is a little glare on the photos that was unavoidable as it's varnished.

Ever do something stupid & you know an angel had to have your back?! That's what she reminds me of!
