This cookbook design has been in the works for three years. I finally got everything together and made my first one. The idea behind it is you can use this handmade. I handcut the chipboard and paper, then handstamped the elements as shown. You may add stamping, scrapping or other embellishments, then add your own personal favorite recipes. They can be your own, your friends, or you family favorites. It is your choice.
This is a chipboard album, covered in designer paper. The theme is Christmas or winter holidays. The designer paper used is Candy Cane Lane from Imaginisce. The tones of red, green and blue and muted, but lovely. The album consists of six, 5"x7" chipboard pieces, forming five sections to your cookbook. Each one is a different piece of designer paper and has a tab. Five binder rings with a ribbon tie hold the book together, making it easy to add or take out.
Each of the five sections has what I call two card stock sleeves. Each reinforced sleeve has a pocket on one side to hold recipe cards and photo corners on the other to hold the recipe card that you wish to use. The recipe cards are a standard 4"x6", blank index card, from an office supply store, but the front is hand stamped. There are 40 cards included with the book. There are no catagories placed on the cookbook. I have included some stamped circles which may have the catagories you want or you can create your own.

This card is done in great fall colors, Ruby Red, Really Rust, Old Olive, Summer Sun, and Pumpkin Pie. I hand stamped and cut the elements on the card. Although it was not created as a card of Thanksgiving, it would be great as one. Send this to anyone you are truly thanksful for. The stitching is faux and the designer paper is really nice. This could be the wreath on you front door. The wreath itself is made with a form and twine, featuring the leaves and some brad berries. The ribbon is a new in color grosgrain polka dot.

I did this card for a challenge. The colors were chosen, but not the theme. I could not resist trying to make this a beautiful Thanksgiving card using the colors given. It features many hand stamped, embossed, and hand cut elements. Even the button is embossed with gold. I used crimped card stock and designer paper as well.I love this combination for fall. Surely you can tell that I love Halloween. This card is Happy, Happy, Happy! It is an event celebrated by all ages. I made this happy card again with the three traditional Halloween colors, orange , black, and green. I combined two Stampin'Up! sets, hand stamping and hand cutting the pumpkin faces. Although the picture does not show the detail, the witches hats and the spider are embossed in black, with various buttons and bows as their adornment. Punches is the name of this game as I used three, including the Top Note Die to make this card unusual.
This card is perfect to send family or friends. There are two sentiments. One says from our patch to yours happy Halloween! The other says happy fright night to you. Inside has been left blank for your message.

This card came about at a first attempt, World Card Day post I did on my blog. I wanted to advertise World Card Day so I made a card using my Chef, Voila. The card lacked something, but rather than remake and post another card, I redid it and came up with this birthday card. This card is hand stamped, cut and pieced. The background is done on the computer. Chef Voila, wishes your friend or family member a happy birthday. I have done him in classic colors, red, black, and white. The cake's candle sparkles with glitter and the chocolate is a shiny glaze of oozing chocolate! Have you been in a resturant lately where the chef comes out with a complimentary cake singing Happy Birthday? This card is even better than that.

This is the second Halloween card designed to use the new StampinUp sweet treat cup. I have designed it so that you can add your treat and retrieve it, without ruining your card. It has a scary or not so scary tombstone, embossed with black embossing powder and colored with inks. The two embossed black birds hold the secret to keeping it in place. It has been hand stamped, hand cut and embossed.
This card is completely assembled. It is shown with candy corn treats, but it DOES NOT come with candy. Instructions for filling and sealing are included. Inside the sentiment says: IF YOU WANT A TASTY SWEET, BE SURE TO HOLLER... trick or treat. With each listing, the colors will slightly vary as this card is hand colored.

There are four unique tags. Each one was hand cut using a Coluzzle, from StampinUp card stock. They were then decorated with designer paper and or embossed, glittered, and or hand stamped. Tags measure 2 1/2" x 4 1/4". Each is topped with black organdy and black and white checked ribbon.

This is not my usual card. However, I have had so many good comments on this card because it is what is new out there. It is done in Riding Hood Red, Black, Going Gray, and Whisper White. This is an unframed, 8 1/2" x 11" hand stamped piece. Stamps used are retired StampinUp. After hand stamping, I water colored the sunflowers, leaves and the background. I used a water color pen to accent the centers of the sunflowers and another pen to ink around each of the sunflower petals. This makes it like a pen and ink drawing. This is the original piece not a photo copy. I will sign it when it is sold. It is a one of a kind, not to be mechanically reproduced. All rights reserved by Sylvia Nelson 2007-2008.

I made this card with fun in mind. It is made with So Saffron card stock. It has machine sewn strips of designer paper in Orange, So Saffron, and Chocolate Chip. The bird is chip board covered with designer paper. There are rick rack borders, a scallop circle flower with a hand stamped "be happy" center, a ribbon bow for leaves and a two button stem.

This beautiful tree is hand stamped using StampinUp stamps. This is the second card done using this set. It is not exactly the same as the first, because it is handmade. The leaves are stamped and hand cut, then layered on the tree. The tree trunk has two layers, and has also been stamped and cut out. The verse on the front says: The season of friendship lasts forever. A cute little hand stamped bird has been cut out and sits under the tree. Inside the greeting is: Thanksgiving Blessings. The tree has been matted on layers of card stock and designer paper. It is a very unique and delicately done card. You would have to see the card to really appreciate all the work.
