I have been printing Ker-bloom! since the summer of 1996, every two months without fail. Check my Etsy shop for back issues and special sets.

There is no additional shipping cost for people in the US. A small amount is automatically added to international orders to defray the additional mailing cost for everyone outside the US.

This is issue #80 of the long-running letterpress zine Ker-bloom!. This issue is about not drinking, so I kind of call it the straightedge issue. In fact, I call it xkerbloomx. Mostly, it involves me trying to figure out if I'm straightedge or not. It even includes an answer to the age-old question: "How many straightedge kids does it take to change a light bulb?" The cover stock I used was from a stack of very old analytical sorting cards.

8 pages, approx. 4"x5" folded. Letterpress printed. Numbered edition of 296.

Please note that the assortment you get in the mail may not be exactly the one you see pictured, as I'm continually running out of and coming up with new samples. You'll get about a half-dozen to a dozen pieces. Also, since most of the custom work I do is wedding-related, there might be one or two wedding pieces in the mix, just for paper reference.

This past summer, I went on tour for three weeks with the epic punk band From the Depths, reading my zines as an opening act at their shows. I kept a comic book style journal every day, illustrating where we went and what we did. We went through the MidWest and South, and it was a memorable experience. It's a nice companion zine to my letterpress zine Ker-bloom! #73, which is a more philosophical encapsulation of the trip itself.

This is issue #65 of my letterpress printed zine Ker-bloom!. It chronicles the zine tour I went on with my friend from Rad Dad zine. We toured from our homes in the SF Bay Area up through the Pacific Northwest all the way up to British Columbia and back.

My reading of this issue is featured on the IPRC compilation audiozine.

This is issue #66 of my letterpress-printed zine Ker-bloom!. It is all about my friend Aaron.

The entire inside text is letterpress printed from hand-set type. That means every letter is put in place one by one. The cover--- lemon-lime swirls with black text--- is a combination of hand-set type and polymer plates. Still it's all letterpress printed as well. The big numbers 66 on the front are the product of some nice wood type.

I have compiled all 6 issues of my letterpress printed zine that I did in the year 2003. They are handbound into the sets with letterpress printed covers.

Although I print the zines in numbered editions of 250, I only had enough zines from 2003 to bind twenty sets together, so that's all there are.

This is the twelfth anniversary issue of my letterpress printed zine Ker-bloom!. Yep, I have been printing it every other month for twelve solid years.

This issue is about how I wrote an issue of my zine and then at the last minute decided I couldn't print it. So, I wrote another one. Self-referential, yes. It does discuss the finer points of what a person can ethically write about. When is it okay to write about other people, and when isn't it?

The cover is a beautiful recycled green cardstock with letterpress in green and a tandem bike image in orange. The interior text is printed in black, with a secret message printed in yellow underneath.

xDRAGONx: putting the fire back into firestorm to purify

This is a back patch of a straightedge dragon laying something to ruin. I drew the image and screened 16 of them by hand, here in Pittsburgh. It uses sparkly purple ink on light green fabric. The image measures approximately 8"x11" and the fabric is a little larger than that. The ink is not heat-set so I'd recommend leaving it off something you wash a whole lot.

xDRAGONx: Putting the fire back into firestorm to purify!

This is a limited edition screenprint I did of a straightedge dragon. It was for a dragon art show here in Pittsburgh. I screenprinted 12 of them by hand using sparkly purple ink on a chartreuse cardstock. I also made a separate listing for back patches on a lighter green cloth.

I had always said that if I ever got to issue #75 of my zine, I'd do some kind of "diamond anniversary" cover. So, shimmery white cardstock it is!

This is an entirely letterpress printed zine. Hand set type. Printed on an antique platen press in Pittsburgh PA. It's about the phenomenon I've noticed in Pittsburgh where lots of people I know own their own homes but really aren't in town a lot because low living expense allows them to travel for large chunks of the year.

I managed to tuck away ten copies of each of the six issues of my zine Ker-bloom! that I printed in 2004.

Each issue is letterpress printed. The cover to the set is also letterpress printed, in white ink onto a chocolate brown cardstock. Although the original zines are stapled, I handbound the sets together with brown linen thread.

I have been letterpress printing this zine for over ten years. I write about whatever is happening in my life and whatever I'm thinking about. 2004 was a big year because I did issue #50, one of the best zines I've ever written. That particular issue is about loving like the yeti and has a sparkly gold cover.

This is in a numbered edition of ten. There are only a few of these available. The first picture shows the cover of the set. The second picture is a detail of the binding. The rest of the pictures are images of zines found within the set.
