The Fish Boys are the Librarians of the depths, their hybridity allows them to breath on land but they almost always prefer to stay in the subaqueous stacks amongst the books. The Fish Boys all have individual characteristics and personalities.

This Fish Boy left The Pool to study Marine Biology in the Polar regions. He became enchanted by a beautiful Polar Bear who rebuffed his advances. How did this Fish Boy snare his lovely Polar Bear? He built himself a soft, velvet polar suit, complete with fin-paws and the fluffiest, whitest bear ear hat! Polar fish Boy can be found waltzing his enamorata over the ice packs.

He is made from beautiful, thick, cream coloured velvet with hand embroidered details. Polar Fish Boy has a wool felt face, flippers and fin. His hat is faux fur.

This Fish Boy fell in love with one of the birds that visit the pool. He followed the daring aerialist all the way into the deepest, darkest part of the forest and set up camp amongst the roots and leaves. As his eyes became accustomed to the light they began to change and his scales grew darker. Until he captures the bird's heart he can't return to the watery library.

Fish Boy is made from beautiful, soft velvet. His snowy white costume is hand embroidered with light blue scales. Fish Boy's face is made with wool felt and sashiko thread.

All Fish Boys stand 29cm tall.

The Catty Catties are based upon a Japanese embroidery pattern that I fell in love with and wanted to bring to life. Serge features a hand embroidered face and has a red fish to embellish the back of his left ear. This Catty Catty is cut from natural cotton and a beautiful midnight blue and white striped cotton from Linum of Sweden. Serge has a wooden button tail and a Maileg ribbon bow tie.

Poor Margot, she used to be the darling of a rich and notorious poet, kept in impeccable quarters on the Place Vendôme. Margot was lured one evening by a criminal tom to Les Innocents, a long way from home. The tom was merciless, a ruffian, Margot was left for dead, he stole her diamond collar. A tiny child, an urchin, took pity upon the poor broken cat, he put her back together as best he could. Margot's leg was mended, her ear saved, but the scars will not fade. Margot will never again dare to show her face to the proud poet. Whilst she scratches her supper performing chansons in the shabbiest neighbourhoods Margot dreams of dancing Grande Jeté over the rooftops of Paris.

Margot sits 27cm/10.5 inches tall. Around 45cm/17.5 inches from head to toe. She is made with a beautiful soft cotton from Cabbages & Roses and a lovely beige and red polka dot cotton from Japan. Her little bandage is constructed from a vintage lace handkerchief. Margot dreams of security and love.
