Twig Felted Pin

$45.00
Here is another of my latest creations in fiber. This pin is wet felted in wool and silk. I've hand-hammered some sterling silver wire, which I have attached twith needle felting. A Hilltribe silver charm hangs from and slides along one of the wires. A skeleton leaf was felted into the piece, which I have outlined with bead embroidery. I've topped the leaf with one of my lampwork twig beads, held on with a freshwater pearl. A silver-toned pinback is sewn onto the back.

This pin will add a touch of whimsy to a jacket lapel, a scarf, a hat, a bag - or whatever else you can imagine!

The pin is 2 5/16 inches (59mm) wide at the top, 1 1/16 inches (27mm) wide at the bottom, and 3 1/4 inches (82mm) long.

Night And Day Goddess Felted Pin

$55.00
Here is one of my latest creations in fiber. This pin is both wet felted and a teensy bit needle felted in wool with silk and other fibers as accents. I've constructed the goddess from carved bone, black coral, a Bali-style silver bead, brass leaves, a feather, and a raku bead for the face. The way I've put it together, you can turn the face from "night" to "day" depending on your mood. The background is accented with aquamarine chips, peridot beads, and a freshwater pearl bead. A gold-toned pinback is sewn onto the back.

This pin will add a touch of whimsy to a jacket lapel, a scarf, a hat, a bag - or whatever else you can imagine!

The pin is 2 11/16 inches (68mm) wide (at its widest point) and 3 5/8 inches (91mm) long.

The trees, which are part of the original wet felting, are embellished with bead embroidery all around the vessel. Just gorgeous!

The vessel is from 5 1/8 to 5 3/4 inches high, 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches at the bottom, and about 5 inches wide in the body. These measurements are approximate.

You can use these felted vessels to store trinkets, dress up a small potted plant, provide a decorative accent, brighten up your work desk... the sky's the limit!

Currents Felted Vessel

$115.00
This hand-felted vessel was wet felted with merino wool and merino/bamboo fibers in various shades of green and rust. Merino yarn and eyelash yarn adorn the top layer of the vessel. Some of the "bullseye" patterns on the vessel are felted, others are my lampwork glass disk beads, which are held on by Czech glass beads. The yarns make me think of electrical currents running across the vessel, with the felted and glass disks being pops of light here and there. A very fun and funky vessel indeed!

The vessel stands 8 3/4 inches high at its tallest point, 3 by 4 inches at the bottom, and about 7 1/2 inches wide in the body. These measurements are approximate.

You can use these felted vessels to store trinkets, dress up a small potted plant, display silk flowers and plants, provide a decorative accent, brighten up your work desk... the sky's the limit!

The rim is embellished with a beadwoven collar from which hangs Shirley's lampwork leaf bead. The bright orange and Montana blue leaf, which is strung on pineapple fibers, is embellished with dichroic glass for added sparkle. It really stands out on the deep muted colors of the wool!

The vessel is from 4 7/8 to 5 1/2 inches high, 2 1/2 by 3 inches at the bottom, and about 5 3/4 inches wide in the body.
Summer Garden Felted Vessel

$185.00
This hand-felted vessel was wet felted with merino wool in ivory, pink, mauve, and burgundy with faint touches of yellow. Mohair locks in various shades of green along with merino/silk fibers adorn the top layer of the vessel. The rim is just bursting with color! I've created a garden with Czech glass flower, leaf, pressed, and fire polish beads, some faceted rose quartz, pale green stone chips, and seed beads in shades of pink and green. In the middle of this garden hangs one of my lampwork leaf beads in a few different shades of transparent green glass enhanced with bits of dichroic sparkle. I think this is the prettiest vessel I've made so far - it's certainly my most ambitious! It's perfect for this time of year - flowering trees putting on on their spring show and gardens coming out of winter hiding. I hope you find it as enchanting as I do!

The vessel is between 5 1/2 and 6 inches high, 2 by 2 1/2 inches at the bottom, and about 3 1/2 inches wide in the body. These measurements are approximate.

You can use these felted vessels to store trinkets, dress up a small potted plant, provide a decorative accent, brighten up your work desk... the sky's the limit!

Handwoven by me in my Northern California studio. I wove this one using a simple twill pattern which creates the diagonal lines. I used lovely sky blue olefin yarn for the weft and a rayon "rick rack" yarn in deep blues and purples (with a touch of green) for the warp. It has a lovely light shine.

Packaged for gift giving (or keeping).

This scarf is 72" long including the 4" fringe. Wash in cool water and lay flat to dry. This scarf is light enough for wearing in spring.
