Is it obvious that I'm yearning for brighter days? This fun bead set is full of bright colors and funky patterns. There are seven beads in all, and each one is different from the last. I used lots of different colors, including green, yellow, orange, light orange, pea green, lavender, pink, transparent blue, transparent green and transparent purple. Think of the endless possibilities for these fun beads!

Each bead was made on a 1/16" mandrel. They have been cleaned and properly kiln annealed.

I'm still searching for my mm ruler, but I can tell you that the largest bead is nearly 3/4" by 1/4" (the pink and green bead with bubbles), and the smallest bead is 1/2" by just over 1/4".

Thinking Spring? I sure am! This flower pendant necklace has a springtime feel. It's layered with blues and greens and yellow and it hangs from a pretty and bright yellow silk ribbon from Jamnglass.etsy.com - the riboon is 40 inches long.

I used transparent green, yellow, clear, green and blue. The bit of blue on the lower right petal in the first picture is a little bit of sticky tac I used to hold the flower upright.

The flower is nearly 1" from top to bottom, and just over 3/4" wide.

Ever wonder what a fish would look like with human-like blue eyes? Now you don't have to! I made this fish with intense blue glass (to go with the intense look in its eyes) and spotted it with pea green. Then I added lips, fins and a tail of transparent green and more intense blue. The eyes are blue slices of murrini from loriandkim.etsy.com - they give this fish a very serious look. Or maybe it's creepy. You decide.

I'm used to naming critter beads, so please excuse my lack of imagination for an actual pair of earrings without faces. I've been wearing a similar pair of earrings and I love them! This pair features four handmade lampwork beads (made by me) that have been wrapped with sterling silver. The top beads are transparent blue, and the bottom beads are a deep red with violet bumps. The ear wires are also sterling silver.

These dangly earrings are just about 1.5" from the top of the ear wire to the sterling silver round bead on the bottom.

Yes, that's one of my daughter's blue Bendaroos being used as a prop in the last picture.

Cap'n Willie Swiftknife wasn't always a pirate. He was a regular old tabby cat in the bead box. But he soon realized that his chances of being adopted out were slim to none if he didn't have a gimmick to bring some attention his way. So, he reinvented himself as a pirate cat. A blue one with lime green stripes to be exact. He wears an eye patch over one eye, and his other eye is light green. His cheeks are silvered ivory and his leg is wood. Arrrr.

This penguin is a handmade lampwork bead (made by me!). He is all black with a light blue belly, orange beak and feet. The bottom bead is an ice cube bead - clear with some transparent blue. Here is something really different from me. Daisy-shaped beads - without faces! They remind me of pinwheels - the kind kids like to blow on to make spin. This flowery bead set consists of three beads and lots of colors. I used lapis blue, lime green, acid yellow, coral and blue. See how much fun you can have with these!

Teddy is my very first bear bead. He is brand new to the world and looks as if he could use a bear hug. He's all brown, with and ivory belly and paws. His eyes and nose are black. He's wire-wrapped with sterling silver and is ready to hang from your favorite chain, cord or ribbon.

Teddy was made on a 1/16" mandrel. His bead hole runs vertically.

Look what popped out of my kiln on the 4th of July? Abner is definitely not from these parts. But he loves a parade, so his timing was perfect.

Abner is carrot red (bright orange) with turquoise spots and toes. He'll tell you his best feature is his full lips, but I'm partial to his yellow belly button.

Admit it - you've always wanted a blue cat. And a blue cat with blue stripes? Very rare, indeed. This little kitty even has a turquoise nose and light blue eyes. Super cute!

This bead was made on a 1/16" mandrel. The bead hole runs vertically.

This little Scottish Terrier will be great company while you're engrossed in your latest book - he's a dog that doesn't bark, so no interruptions. He's also very responsible and will hold your place while you're away. And get this, both the dog bead and the bottom bead can slide along the ribbon to fit your book. The bottom bead is pink with a purple paw print and a bone (in case the doggie gets hungry - you don't want him chewing one your book now, do you?).

The ribbon is purple with little pink scottie dogs on it - how cute is that?

The bookmark measures about 16 inches long.

Please note: The doggie did not step in yellow gum - that's my sticky tac I used to make him hold still.

Every once in a while I'm inspired to make some beads without faces. This little bead set of five was a fun one to make. I love the colors in it together - black, turquoise, silvered plum and bright yellow.

Why is it magic, you ask? Well, first of all, it's red with white polka dots. You don't see a whole lot of those in the produce isle. And second, I just may have seen the tiniest of fairies fly out of the tiniest of doors on its stem.

Here's a fun pair for Halloween. This white ghost and black bat would make fun, mismatched earrings, or would be great in a pendant. And what's more, these two get along great together - very unusual for such scary critters.

Both beads were made on a 1/16" mandrel. The bead holes run vertically.

Darla is a darling little owl. But lately her big green bubble eyes have been fixated on the rat beads in the bead box, so darling Darla needs to find somewhere else to perch.

Wanna go for a ride, boy? That's all it takes. This doggy is all too happy to have his head out the car window and his ears and tongue flapping in the wind. He's a brown dog with a white stripe between his light topaz eyes. He doesn't care where their headed, as long as it's not to the vet.

This bead was made on a 1/16" mandrel. The bead hole runs vertically through the black part of the bead.

When Sedona stepped out of the kiln, proudly displaying her turquoise, coral and black shell, she tried to hide her look of disappointment. She thought for sure she was destined for Arizona or New Mexico. But there she was in a suburb of Chicago, smack in the middle of the Midwest. And winter is coming. Someone needs to help her relocate.

You just never know when you'll need a fire hydrant bead, so you can always browse through my shop to find one. This one is dark red, and the bead hole runs vertically through the bead. Pair it with a dog bead for some funny earrings, or, set it next to your dog bead - just in case.
