true blue ... Handwritten Letter and Vintage vocabulary necklace OOAK

$17.50
I have this dream of taking a leisurely trip around our country. Along the way I will meet and chat with people. On a park bench. In the local hardware store. Perhaps in line at the post office or standing at a street corner waiting for a green light. People from all walks of life with life experiences to share. That would be heavenly. And I'd write a book and share the stories with the world. But, I cannot do that right now. Maybe not ever. So, I am starting here. Making connections, shortening the distance with words on paper. And on a smaller scale.

This listing is for one handwritten letter, from the heart, from me to you* ~ with an extra surprise. Each letter is individual and I could never describe it ahead of time, however, here are some general guidelines:

I will write the letter in ink, by hand and this one includes one of my joonwalk ™ true blue vintage vocabulary card pendant necklaces. My letters contain touches of my illustration and/or collage artwork.

This is the FIRST flying housewife listing of its kind - where the extra is a handmade item crossover from another of my etsy shops. Like all of my letter packets, this one forwards my philosophy of bringing back the best of the past into our lives today. From my joonwalk description: Wear your heart on your sleeve with my vintage vocabulary necklaces. Each one OOAK. Handcrafted with love. true blue and you ~ define your day.

Quality ball chain, hand cut ~ 24". I laminate and hand trim each 3.5 X 1.5" card. Definition of each word on reverse in green print. You may request a word from those shown here in photo 3, or if you prefer the element of surprise, I can choose one for you. I have many. They are an eclectic lot! If you would like to give me a hint about your personality (or that of your gift recipient), I will bear that in mind.

For example: The necklace shown in photos 1 & 2 is Scout's(and not available!). It represents her love for a favorite 'What's Up Doc?' film line: 'Don't you know the meaning of propriety?' delivered perfectly by the wonderful Madeline Kahn in her major motion picture screen debut as Eunice Burns. PS. The film is a must see.

Please see my other listings for my standard letter and more theme specific offerings.

Visit my Public Profile to learn more about me, read some very helpful FAQs & review my copyright statement. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to convo me.

Real mail is here to stay. Please be sure to include name and address in notes to seller box at checkout.

Along the way I will meet and chat with people. On a park bench. In the local hardware store. Perhaps in line at the post office or standing at a street corner waiting for a green light. People from all walks of life with life experiences to share. That would be heavenly. And I'd write a book and share the stories with the world. But I cannot do that right now. Maybe not ever. So I am starting here. Making connections, shortening the distance with words on paper. And on a smaller scale.

This listing is for one handwritten letter, from the heart, from me to you*. Each letter is individual and I could never describe it ahead of time, however, here are some general guidelines:

I will hand write the letter in ink and tuck in a little extra, handmade by me, using one or more of the following mid-century era component examples: magazine, childrens' illustrated book or other groovy paper clippings, stickers, postage stamps, fabric swatches, or other envelope~friendly delights. {It's a surprise.}

All of my letters and envelopes contain touches of my illustration and/or collage artwork. TV Dinner Housewife, you know who you are. Life is hectic and some days, you just want to sit down and watch your Soaps, then maybe putter in the garden, or read the latest Ladies Home Journal and later on, pop some TV Dinners in the old Hotpoint, flop into your lounger, prop your feet up on that ottoman, sip a martini {ice tea, lemonade}. Then you glance at that stack of mail on the coffee table and find a letter peeking out from under the latest Sears catalog --- and inside, oh my stars! - a sweet little handmade surprise. Ah... those were the days. {They're here again.}

Please see my other listings for theme specific offerings including TV Dinner Housewife's sister - the Crafty Housewife - she prefers assembling her own creation!

As I will not photograph a letter, the writing related photos here are meant to serve as glimpses into my style, interests & personality. The adorable 50s housewife is our very own Scout. Is she crafty or what? You know what they say: The apple doesn't fall very far from the tree. She does enjoy a ready made dinner from time to time. And don't we all?

I'm looking forward to writing your letter and tucking in that little something special.

Visit my Bio and Public Profile to learn more about me, read some very helpful FAQs & review my copyright statement. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to convo me.

Real mail is here to stay. This is your red letter day.

ox joon

* or the recipient of your choosing. Maybe not ever. So, I am starting here. Making connections, shortening the distance with words on paper. And on a smaller scale.

This listing is for one handwritten letter, from the heart, from me to you* (or your loved one) to one person/one address for EACH of the next three months of 2009. You choose any three from the following options. Simply note your choices in the message to seller box upon check out. They can be any combination - even all the same theme as no two packets are ever alike. Each one is specifically constructed at the time I compose the packet. Not even I know what they can possibly be. (I love surprises, too!) Please read each listing description for more complete packet information, but here is the condensed version:

A. Comfort Food ... My Own Lemon Bar Recipe
B. So do feel free to choose more than one if your heart desires and drop me a hint or two such as: chocolate, beef, salad, muffin, Italian, etc. and I will choose one of my family favorites. :) These are also handwritten, by the way, not pre-typed or print outs.

***NOTE: This gift Special is indeed limited.
