I just love these clasps, and they have been very popular at the bead store that I sell at. The hook end has kind of a heart-shape to it. They can be made with almost any sort of bead, to match your necklace design for a fantastic finishing touch. THESE particular clasps are made with silver-plated metal spacers: one set with puff-star shaped beads, one set with corrugated rondell beads. The metal is a high quality silver plated wire, 20 gauge. The hook is hammered lightly before shaping it, for strength.
Options: This pair of clasp can be made either in silver plate or gold plate (see last pic). If you do not specify either, then you will receive silver plated clasps, as pictured.

Clasped length approximately 1 1/2 inches (about 3.9 cm)

These headpins are great for adding that artisan look to your earring designs. Regular headpins are boring. This variation has a slightly larger scroll (that cool swirly spiral) at the bottom: "medium sized".

This listing is for TEN 2 inch headpins, with a medium-sized scroll. I make this with 22 gauge Argentium (tarnish resistant) sterling silver wire (half-hard, for strength). I give the scrolls a light hammering.

This is what I use for an "eye" for a hook and eye clasp, and as a "closed ring" to hook lobster claws onto.

This figure 8 connector is the secure alternative to a jumpring when used as the other side to a clasp. Both ends are wire-wrapped, the connector WILL NOT come open! Attach the small loop to your necklace/bracelet design, and use the large loop for hooking your clasp into.

I make these with 20 gauge Argentium sterling silver wire. This listing is for ONE PAIR. Argentium silver is slow to tarnish, unlike regular sterling.

Connector length is about 1/2 long.

This wire wrapped bracelet is made entirely in sterling silver. I've used oblong Czech glass beads in olive green and creamy tan/brown. The charms are my signature swirl/spiral and waves and squiggles. The handmade wire charms hang from handmade jumprings. The only thing I haven't made on this bracelet, which is unusual, is the the sterling lobster clasp!

There's something about the color of copper that I love. The warm earthy feel to it. The fantastic luster when it starts to oxidize.

These charms are made with a high quality, jewelry grade copper wire, 18 gauge. The metal is tarnish resistant, but will darken over time from a bright shiny orange copper to a warm brown. Each charm is shaped by hand and then hammered for strength as well as looks.

The sampler set contains one of each charm:
scroll, heart, square, triangle, star/flower, and wavy squiggle.

The charms range in size from anout 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch.

These hand-made wire charms have been a huge success at the bead store that I sell my hand-made findings at. They are great for charm bracelets, or a funky addition to any jewelry design. I've used them in earrings and necklaces as well as bracelets!
The charms pictured are made with a high-quality 18 ga. silver plated wire, but I can also make them in copper, brass, and gold plated wire for the same price. The charms are pictured with a dime for size comparison, and range from just over 1/2" to just over 3/4".

The part of of the hook that rests in your lobe should always be round. Wire that is hammered flat, if it's sitting in your ear lobe, is more likely to cut through your ear if it gets pulled on. The ends of the wire should also be rounded: sharp edges and burs from cutting the wire can scratch the inner part of your ear lobe as you put the earring on. I use a fine metal file to smooth and round the end of the wire so that it is not sharp.

Fancy Sterling Silver S Hook - Argentium - Handmade

This is no boring S Hook.

This listing is for one of my "S" Hook style clasps. It is made from 18 gauge Argentium sterling silver (slow to tarnish). This clasp is accented by a 4 mm sterling bead that has been wrapped into place in the middle of the "S". A wonderfully decorative touch.

The hook is lightly hammered in just the right place, for strength and looks. Every part of the "S" hook is smooth, so it won't catch on clothing etc. Combine this with a pair of soldered jump rings or figure 8 connectors (I make these) to finish off your necklace.

Sizing:
length is approx. 3 cm, or approx 1 3/16 inch.
inside diamter of the hooks is about 5 mm.

The loops on these ear hooks are wrapped. They DO NOT open. All you have to do is securely attach your dangle, making a wrapped loop with your head pin, and you have a very secure earring.

I make these with 20 gauge Half Hard Argentium sterling silver wire (very strong, and tarnish resistant)). The front edge is lightly hammered, and the ends are filed smooth.

Oooh...this is a big jumpring! I'm sure there's tons of uses for it.

Constructed with 16 gauge half hard argentium sterling silver wire. I have hammered the wire square for additional strength. (Note this is is an open jumpring, not soldered). I use a 5/16" mandrel to shape these, then each ring is individually cut, hammered again, and manually closed.

Expect slight imperfections as I am not a machine!

This is a a set of handmade jump rings. I have used 18 gauge half hard argentium sterling silver wire. Each jumpring is individually cut, work hardened, and manually closed. Argentium silver is extremely tarnish resistant.

Yes I make jump rings. By hand. Each ring is cut individually. I use 18 gauge wire for my jumprings, the wire is 1mm thick and super strong.

Another one of my original ear wire designs. This ear hook features a leaf shaped frame at the base of the hook. These look great with a either a single bead dangling from the bottom, or a rich cluster of multiple beads.

These ear wires are made with 21 gauge argentium sterling silver wire, half hard. The leaf silhouette is securely wrapped and lightly hammered. The front edge of the hook is also lightly hammered, and the end is carefully rounded smooth with a metal file. Argentium silver is extremely tarnish resistant.

The total length, front and back is about 1 inch. The length of the leaf shape is about 5/8 inch.

This listing is for a quantity of 10 argentium sterling silver charms, handmade by me. These are the "medium size" charm that I make, and are comparable to the bottoms of my 20 gauge scrolled headpins. I love this spiral shape (I call it a scroll).

These charms are great for adding to the bottoms of earrings, onto charm bracelets, even on the ends of extender chains. Very Useful.

The charms are lightly hammered for strength and a nice flash. The charm is about 3/8" from top of loop to bottom of scroll. The scroll/spiral is about 1/4" or 6mm across.

Argentium silver is slow to tarnish, unlike regular sterling.

Sometimes a jump ring just doesn't do the job. Ever worry about your jump rings coming open? For some things you just NEED to have an open ring in order to attach two things together. That's why I make these connectors!

The unique shape - "S" shape - has the open ends in the middle of the shape, therefore your two pieces that you are attaching, when pulled upon, will never be pulled through the openings of the connector! Just make sure you close up the ends, of course.

These connectors are made with a high quality jewelry grade copper wire, 18 gauge. They are super strong, and super versatile. Use them for hanging charms, attaching clasps...anything that you would use a jumpring for.

These are little guys, measuring about 8mm x 4mm.

This clasp is a new design! Made to order, please expect some very slight differences from the clasp pictured and the clasp I will make for you!

Is it a leaf, or a bud? You decide. When I came up with this design I was thinking "leaf", but when I looked at it, I also saw "rose bud".

Constructed with 18 gauge copper jewelry wire, stategically hammered in places. The toggle ring is a large leaf shape, with smaller leaf shapes and a swirly spiral for accents. The toggle bar is plenty long and fits perfectly in the ring, featuring two little leafy shapes at the ends.

This is a great clasp for using as a focal! You don't want to hide this at the back of the neck!

This clasp is my "no frills" hook and eye clasp. I sometimes call it my "plain" hook and eye clasp, but that doesn't quite do it justice. This is a great all-purpose clasp.

It measures about 1 1/4 inch in length (expect slight variations). Part of the hook is hammered for strength. Both ends of the clasp (the hook and and the eye/connector) have secure wrapped loop ends to attach to your design.

The clasp is carefully constructed by myself, from jewelry grade 18 gauge copper wire. It is tarnish resistant, but will darken over time.

I shape these ear wires myself, using half hard 21 gauge argentium sterling silver wire (extremely tarnish resistant). Certain areas are lightly hammered for strength.

Did you kow that improperly made ear hooks can scratch or cut your ear lobes leading to infection and permanent damage? It's true, and I see dangerous ear hooks made all the time (hand-made AND factory made). Not mine. I pay very close attention to important details in making my ear hooks. The part of of the hook that rests in your lobe should always be round. Wire that is hammered flat, if it's sitting in your ear lobe, is more likely to cut through your ear if it gets pulled on. The ends of the wire should also be rounded: sharp edges and burs from cutting the wire can scratch the inner part of your ear lobe as you put the earring on. I use a fine metal file to smooth and round the end of the wire so that it is not sharp.

This design is SMALLER than my other hearts ear wires. The heart is smaller and the hook is shorter. The proportions really work well.

These are wires are shaped from 21 gauge argentium sterling silver wire (extremely tarnish resistant). Parts of the heart and hook are carefully hammered during the shaping process. The end of the wire is filed smooth and round for your saftey and comfort.

Toggles galore! I make many styles, and these are the no-nonsense, universal, round shaped toggles.

I use the best quality, 18 gauge jewelry grade copper wire to make these clasps, lightly hammered for strength. The metal is tarnish resistant, but WILL darken over time. My toggles feature secure wrapped loop ends - no need to worry about your necklace or bracelet design coming loose. I also make the toggle bars long enough so that they won't accidently slip out: I've noticed many commercial toggles have bars that are too short!

You get two toggles in this listing: one "large" round - approx 7/16" opening, one "small" round - approx 5/16" opening. Each toggle comes with a figure-8 style connector, which can be handy when you are attaching the clasp near large beads, but isn't necessary (you can take it off and use it for something else).

Sterling Silver Toggle - Handmade - securely wrapped with long bar - Argentium

A multi-purpous toggle clasp for your jewelry designs, handcrafted with care in sterling silver.

The loop ends of this wire-formed clasp are securely wrapped. The ring and bar are both lightly hammered for strength and looks. I always make my toggle bars just the right length so that they will never slip out of the ring by accident. The decorative swirls at the ends of the bar hug the sides of the ring as an extra safety catch.

The ring of this toggle has an inside diameter of 7/16". I use 18 gauge half hard argentium sterling wire to make this clasp. Argentium silver is a sterling that is slow to tarnish!

Little Hearts Earwires - Handmade - 5 pairs - argentium sterling

This design is SMALLER than my other hearts ear wires. The heart is smaller and the hook is shorter. The proportions really work well.

These are wires are shaped from 21 gauge argentium sterling silver wire (extremely tarnish resistant). Parts of the heart and hook are carefully hammered during the shaping process. The end of the wire is filed smooth and round for your saftey and comfort.

Back of the hook from top to bottom measures approximately 3/4" to 7/8". The front is approximately 5/8" to 3/4".

An elegantwire wrapped ear hook design featuring the outline of a leaf shape.

These ear wires are made with 21 gauge argentium sterling silver wire, half hard. The leaf silhouette is securely wrapped and lightly hammered. The front edge of the hook is also lightly hammered, and the end is carefully rounded smooth with a metal file. Argentium silver is extremely tarnish resistant.

The total length, front and back is about 1 inch. The length of the leaf shape is about 5/8 inch.

Argentium Sterling Silver Toggle Clasp with wire-wrapped bead accent - Handmade

Regular toggle clasps are boring. I know, I make a lot of regular toggle clasps. This toggle is NOT regular! It is decorative and very pretty!

The specifics:
The main structure of the toggle ring and bar is constructed with 18 gauge argentium sterling silver (argentium doesn't tarnish like regular sterling - again - not your boring regular clasp). The wire has hand-shaped and hammered for strength. Then I embellish the clasp with a thinner argentium wire and a cute little bead.

About the embellishiment: for this listing I am using a little 3mm matte finish sterling bead, but can easily make you clasp with other 4mm beads. Convo me if you'd like a custom "accent". The wire wrapping in the embellishment is asymetrical and will be DIFFERENT every time!

My scroll are charms are sweet little spirals that you can hang from any design, be it earring, necklace or bracelet.

I make these with 20 gauge half hard Argentium sterling silver wire. Argentium silver is slow to tarnish, unlike regular sterling. The charms are lightly hammered after shaping.

You get 10 of my large scroll charms. They are about 1/2 inch in length from top of loop to bottom of scroll. The scroll/spiral is about 5/16 to 3/8" (or about 7-8mm) .

This is one of my "fancy" style hook and eye clasps. This pair is made with 20 gauge Agentium sterling silver wire (slow to tarnish). The wire forming the hook has been hammered for hardness. The accent beads are 4mm sterling silver round beads (bright and shiny).

Fancy Scrolled Ear Hooks - Expertly Hand-made - Argentium Sterling

Add some dimension to your earring project! These ear hooks, featuring a scrolled/spiral front, will add that extra touch to your design.

I shape these myself, with 21 gauge argentium sterling silver wire (just the right size) I hammer the wire in just the right places for strength and security, and file the ends of the wire so they are smooth and safe. Argentium silver is extremely tarnish resistant.

Did you kow that improperly made ear hooks can scratch or cut your ear lobes leading to infection and permanent damage? It's true, and I see dangerous ear hooks made all the time (hand-made AND factory made). Not mine. I pay very close attention to important details in making my ear hooks. The part of of the hook that rests in your lobe should always be round. Wire that is hammered flat, if it's sitting in your ear lobe, is more likely to cut through your ear if it gets pulled on. The ends of the wire should also be rounded: sharp edges and burs from cutting the wire can scratch the inner part of your ear lobe as you put the earring on. I use a fine metal file to smooth and round the end of the wire so that it is not sharp.

This is a a set of handmade jump rings. I have used 18 gauge half hard sterling silver wire (argentium sterling - which is virtually tarnish free). Each jumpring is individually cut, work hardened, and manually closed.

Yes I make jump rings. By hand. Each ring is cut individually. I use 18 gauge wire for my jumprings, the wire is 1mm thick and super strong.

These are open jumprings, 10 of them, 18 gauge, about 7mm outer diameter, about 5 mm inner diameter. Sizing is approximate, and as these are made by hand, please expect some slight differences!
