These very versatile Christmas ornaments are 100% hand sewn using the traditional paper basting quilting technique. Mr. and Mrs. Santa are made from cotton fabric pieced around cardboard. For their shirt and dress I have used recycled shirt fabric, which gives the pair the right soft look. They have a proper front and a back. Mr. and Mrs. Santa are nearly flat and very light weight. The pair is packed in a protective cellophane bag.

Ideas for using Mr. and Mrs. Santa:
They can be hung on the Christmas tree.
Hung from a branch, maybe used as a table center piece or in a hall way.
Placed at each table setting, for a little extra to take home.
What about using the pair as ornaments on the lovingly wrapped presents.
The light weight ornaments won’t break and can be send with your Christmas cards without adding much bulk and hardly no additional weight.

The book cover is made from a fine corduroy. The flowers are appliquéd, using a selection of sewing threads making the flowers merge into the surface, yet stand out as distinctive designs. The centers of the flowers are embellished with beads for a finished look. The background is free motion quilted over cotton wadding. The edges of the book cover are sealed with acrylic metallic paint for a crisp and finished look.

These gift tags are made from a vintage atlas printed in 1940. The tags have that unique vintage feel that only years gone by can provide. The tags are double sided in the sense that I used maps on the front and map index pages on the back. Some tags will have a blank or a partly printed index back due to how the index was printed initially.

The tags come packed on a string in a cellophane bag. There are 10 large and 15 small tags to a package. The large tags measures 2 ¾ x 1 ¾ inches (7 x 4 ½ cm) the small tags measures 1 ¾ x 1 inches (4 ½ x 2,5 cm)

The photos are examples of what a package might look like. All packs are randomly packed with emphasis on a good mixture of colours and density of print. You will receive a package similar, but not identical to the one shown on the photo.

The dyed, decorated non woven material that is used to cover the front and back covers as well as the insides, is so beautiful and truly unique. A one of a kind. Can never be reproduced exactly again. Whether you want to use it as a scrapbook album, a visitors book, a (travel) journal, a sketchbook or… The possibilities are endless.

The 24 pages making up the inside of the book, are slightly textured and made from 16o grams paper making them heavy enough for sketching and gouache.
The book is bound using Japanese stab binding technique and my hand dyed ribbon. The ribbon wraps around the book and ties on the front. The Ribbon ends are rolled and decorated with beads.

For this card, which could double up as a mini picture when framed, I used a natural colored silk noil. After a bit of machining, I added a dab of paint to enhance the texture. Had a lovely time choosing from my selection of hand dyed threads and then deciding on what type of hand embroidery stitches to use.

The finished embroidered piece is mounted in a 2x2 inch (5x5cm) window of a three-folded card, making the blank inside of the card just as nice as the outside. The back of the card has an oval stamp reading “a handmade card especially for you” and a small golden label.

This is the perfect basket for a desk, by the entrance door, by the bed, anywhere you have things you would like to store in a stylish manner.

The basket is woven using an old Scandinavian basket weaving technique. Traditionally the baskets were woven from birch bark. I have used paper. After finish weaving the basket was coloured in a light transparent turquoise colour. The rim and upper edge were further decorated with opaque metallic paint. Finally the basket was sealed. The sealant adds a lovely subtle sheen to the surface as well as making it making it very pleasant to touch. Despite being made from paper the basket is surprisingly sturdy.

This generous size cosmetic bag can easily be used as a small wash bag as well. There is plenty of room for the tooth brush and paste as well as travel size containers with all the essentials.

The fully lined zippered bag is made from a soft water repellent cotton fabric. Small amounts of moisture can be wiped off causing no damage to the contents of the bag.

The zipper is softly contrasting the gentle colour of the bag. As a final touch the zipper is decorated with a beaded zipper pull most likely made from recycled beads.

6'x 6' INCH SQUARES, RECYCLED, COTTON SHIRT FABRIC

The 25 6'x 6' inch (15 x15 cm) light to medium weight cotton squares are rotary cut from recycled shirt fabric. The squares totals 1/2 yard (45 cm) of fabric and come packed in a cellophane bag. All the squares have a different plaid/homespun pattern. There are no repeats with in a package.
The squares are perfect to use for quilt making. Due to having had a life prior to me finding them, the fabric already has a lot of character. Sewn together they make a lovely quilt with that instant soft feel and look that only time can give fabric.
All the fabrics are natural fibers (no polyester or nylon), predominantly 100% cotton. I have made several quilts with shirt fabric and absolutely love the shabby chic/country look that one can achieve by using recycled fabric.

The light to medium weight fabric has been washed 'warm' and ironed 'hot'.

The fabric in the photoes is an example! I have only listed one package, but more are available. Please convo me if you are interested in several packages. All packages are packed with a good selection of colours, patteren and tones. Between a number of packages, there will be some repeats.

All squares have been rotary cut to exact size.
Please note that due to the properties/weave of some of the fabrics they might not look square, when you start working with them. If you find the odd one too soft, then please iron and spray starch the square. That will solve the 'problem' :-)

HAND DYED EMBROIDERY THREAD

A selection of 8 skeins of blue hand dyed embrodery thread. The threads are all natural fibers like cotton, silk, linen, bamboo etc.
The threads are space dyed with Procion dyes. Due to the propeties of the natural fibers, the dyes are accepted in slightly different ways resulting in lovely subtle shading and colour coordinations.

You wil recieve a mixture of 8 skeins. Please note that the photo is an example. You will recieve threads very similar, but not identical to the ones shown on the photo. Please be aware as well that 'real life' colours might vary slightly due to computer monitor settings.

The threads are carefully rinsed after dying and are very unlikely to run on a cold wash, but I cannot garantie it.
I use my threads in projects that don't get washed.

Each skein measure approx: 11-13 yards (10-12 meters)

This picture is one of a kind and is part of a series of three mounted art quilts.

A felted design was applied and merged into the hand dyed (by me) surface, using a selection of sewing and metallic threads. The background was then quilted and distressed. The textured background was highlighted with paint for a final touch.

The quilt is mounted and stretched over a canvas. The back is covered with black felt and mounted with eyelets and wire. The picture is ready to be hung.

SMALL FLOWER POUCH BAG

This pouch bag fits perfectly into a purse keeping the essential “on the go“ stuff in one place. Make up will be easy to access, as the pouch bag has a wide rounded zipper opening making it easy to find that lippy on the bottom.

The pouch bag is made from a fine corduroy, machine quilted, and the front is decorated with appliquéd velvet flowers. The velvet flowers are embellished with a selection of sewing threads and beads. The flowers are blending into the background and not “sitting on top”

There is a folded tag on the side that beside looking cute can double up as a place to clip a hook or key ring in to and then hang either on the inside or on the outside of a bag.

This highly decorative container is functional as well as very decorative. It is a container for the one who wants to take their organizing and storing of things to another level.

The container is made from my special handmade fabric. The fabric is made using cotton wool as the main component combined with a binder.
The container is fully lined with a bright coloured Thai silk. A design is densely stitched all over the surface using free machine stitching and a selection of sewing threads.
The textured cotton wool surface has a firm yet very pleasant feel to the touch.

HAND DYED EMBROIDERY THREAD

A selection of 8 skeins of red with and orange tint hand dyed embrodery thread. The threads are all natural fibers like cotton, silk, linen, bamboo etc.
The threads are space dyed with Procion dyes. Due to the propeties of the natural fibers, the dyes are accepted in slightly different ways resulting in lovely subtle shading and coordinating colours.

Please note that the photo is an example. You will recieve threads very similar, but not identical to the ones shown on the photo. Please be aware that due to computer monitor setting the colours can vary slightly.

The threads are carefully rinsed after dying and are very unlikely to run on a cold wash, but I cannot garantie it.
I use my threads in projects that don't get washed.

Each skein measures approx: 11-13 yards (10-12 meters)

This lovely book cover is made from a vintage hand embroidered tablecloth and covers A5 hard back book. The book and the cover makes a perfect gift for anyone who keeps a sketchbook, journal or just a place to store all those lovely finds.

The book cover is machine quilted over cotton wadding working the embroidery into the surface. The edges are sealed with acrylic metallic paint for a crisp and finished look. A twisted cord is attached to the spine of the book cover. It wraps around the book being tied at the front. The cord is twisted from natural coloured cotton yarn and a metallic gold thread.

The keyring in made with vibrant Bali Batik fabric using a folded patchwork technique. This double sided mini cushion is all hand sewn. The mini cushion is stuffed with polyester filling.

These ribbons are space dyed with silk paint in two wonderful colours.

Each package contains four pieces of ribbon. Two narrow shiny satin and a slightly wider cotton blend. The two types of ribbon has been dyed in the same batch and due to the nature of the material the colour appears slightly different, yet colour coordinated.

Use the ribbons for embellishment, scrapbooking, sewing, bookbinding, card making, parcel wrapping or… Anywhere that needs a little splash of colour.The ribbons are wound around a piece of card and packed in a cellophane bag.
The ribbons have been heat and should not run on a cold wash. Having said that I have never used them my self in projects that needs washing.

This is the perfect basket for a desk, by the entrance door, by the bed, anywhere you have things you would like to store in a stylish manner.

The basket is woven using an old Scandinavian basket weaving technique. Traditionally the baskets were woven from birch bark. I have used paper. After finish weaving the basket was coloured in a light transparent blue colour. The outside of the basket was further decorated with opaque metallic paint letting the light blue colour show here and there. Finally the basket was sealed. The sealant adds a lovely subtle sheen to the surface as well as making it making it very pleasant to touch. Despite being made from paper the basket is surprisingly sturdy.

These very versatile Christmas ornaments are 100% hand sewn using the traditional paper basting quilting technique. Mr. and Mrs. Santa are made from cotton fabric pieced around cardboard. For their shirt and dress I have used recycled shirt fabric, which gives the pair the right soft look. They have a proper front and a back. Mr. and Mrs. Santa are nearly flat and very light weight. The pair is packed in a protective cellophane bag.

Ideas for using Mr. and Mrs. Santa:
They can be hung on the Christmas tree.
Hung from a branch, maybe used as a table center piece or in a hall way.
Placed at each table setting, for a little extra to take home.
What about using the pair as ornaments on the lovingly wrapped presents.
The light weight ornaments won’t break and can be send with your Christmas cards without adding much bulk and hardly no additional weight.

The pincushion in made with vibrant Bali Batik fabric using a folded patchwork technique. This pincushion is all hand sewn. The front has inserts of coordinating patches giving a further visual dimension to the already textured surface created by the folds of the fabric. The back has a subtle texture created by the turned edges using the main colour fabric. The pin cushion is stuffed with polyester filling.

For this card, which could double up as a mini picture when framed, I used my own hand dyed cotton. After a bit of machining, I add a dab of paint to enhance the texture. Had a lovely time choosing from my selection of hand dyed threads and then deciding on what type of hand embroidery stitches to use.

The finished embroidered piece is mounted in a 2x2 inch (5x5cm)window of a three-folded card, making the blank inside of the card just as nice as the outside. The back of the card has an oval stamp reading “a handmade card especially for you” and a small golden label.

This double sided velvet flower shaped key ring is such a cheerful item. It is so much fun to make. It really makes me smile.

Since the flower is double sided there is no front or back. Both sides are just as nice.
This tactile flower looks as lovely when hanging from a purse strap or back pack, as it does when clasped to any kind item, that you want to be able to find with ease.

The flower is machine stitched using velvet and a selection of sewing threads. The outer part of the petals have been dry brushed with acrylic paint. That area has a firmer texture and feel, contrasting the soft velvet in the center. The edge has been finished with paint for a rustic look. The center of the flower is on both sides embellished with beads. Some of the beads are more than likely recycled.

The flower measures approximately:

These ribbons are space dyed by me using silk paint in two wonderful colours. Each package contains four lenghts of ribbon. Two narrow shiny satin and a slightly wider cotton blend. The two types of ribbon have been dyed in the same batch. Due to the nature of the material the colour appears slightly different, yet colour coordinated.

Use the ribbons for embellishment, scrapbooking, sewing, bookbinding, card making, parcel wrapping or… Anywhere that needs a little splash of colour.

The ribbons are wound around a piece of card and comes protected in a cellophane bag. The ribbons have been heat set and should not run on a cold wash. Having said that, I have never used them my self in projects that needs washing.

These two small bowls, where the smallest nests in the larger one, are just so cute and very usefull at the same time. They are made from folded and woven paper strips cut from a recycled French road map. Eventhough made from paper the bowls are surprisingly strudy. For extra protection they have been sealed with an acrylis varnish.

The two small bowls have lots of uses. Amongst others would look lovely on a desk being a perfect storage place for paperclips and other small items.

HAND DYED EMBROIDERY THREAD

A selection of 8 skeins of olive, blue green hand dyed embrodery thread. The threads are all natural fibers like cotton, silk, linen, bamboo etc. The threads are space dyed with Procion dyes. Due to the propeties of the natural fiber, the dyes are accepted in slightly different ways resulting in lovely subtle colors and coordinated shading.

The threads are great for any projects that needs the extra touch of hand embroidery.

Please note that the photo is an example. You will recieve threads very similar, but not identical to the ones shown on the photo. Please be aware as well that the 'real life' colors might vary slightly, due to the computer monitor setting.

The threads are carefully rinsed after dying and are very unlikely to run on a cold wash, but to be on the safe side, I cannot garantie it. I use my threads in project that don't get washed.

Each skein measure approx: 11-13 yards (10-12 meters)

These gift tags are made from a vintage novel printed in 1956. The tags have that unique vintage feel that only years gone by can provide. The tags are double sided in the sense that I used text pages on the front and back.

The tags come packed on a string in a cellophane bag. There are 10 large and 15 small tags to a package. The large tags measures 2 ¾ x 1 ¾ inches (7 x 4 ½ cm) the small tags measures 1 ¾ x 1 inches (4 ½ x 2,5 cm)

The photos are examples of what a package might look like. All packs are randomly packed with emphasis on a good mixture of colours and density of print. You will receive a package similar, but not identical to the one shown on the photo.

The edge has been finished with paint for an ever so slightly frayed look. The center of the flower is on both sides embellished with beads. Some of the beads are more than likely recycled.

The ‘Flower Power” key ring measures approximately 2,5 inches (7 cm) in diameter and is 1/8 inch (3mm) wide.
The key chain is silver colored with a clasp.

This is the perfect basket for a desk, by the entrance door, by the bed, anywhere you have things you would like to store in a stylish manner.

The basket is woven using an old Scandinavian basket weaving technique. Traditionally the baskets were woven from birch bark. I have used paper. After finish weaving the basket was coloured in a light transparent turquoise colour. The rim and upper edge were further decorated with opaque metallic paint. Finally the basket was sealed. The sealant adds a lovely subtle sheen to the surface as well as making it making it very pleasant to touch. Despite being made from paper the basket is surprisingly sturdy.

The decorated paper used to cover this book is so beautiful and no two piece will ever be identical. After a random use of paint, the paper was flooded with inks creating depth to the surface. Further highlighting with metallic paint was applied and the decorated paper was sealed with a finishing layer, leaving it soft and smooth to the touch.

This handmade book is truly unique. Whether you want to use it as a scrapbook album, a visitors book, a journal, a sketchbook or… The possibilities are endless.

The book is 9 inches (23 cm) wide and 7,5 inches (19 cm) tall. The front and back as well as the inside is covered with my decorated paper. The 24 pages making up the inside of the book, are slightly textured and made from 16o grams making them heavy enough for sketching and gouache.

The book is bound “landscape" using Japanese stab binding technique and my hand sewn cord. The cord wraps around the book and ties on the front. The cord ends are finished with beads made from my decorated papers and finished with wire.

This lovely book cover is made from a vintage hand embroidered tablecloth and covers A5 hardback book. The book and the cover makes a perfect gift for anyone who keeps a sketchbook, journal or just a place to store all those lovely finds.

The book cover is machine quilted over cotton wadding working the embroidery into the surface. The edges are sealed with acrylic metallic paint for a crisp and finished look. The double layered brooch is densely sewn on the machine using a selection of sewing threads. The flower will keep the shape and not collapse, due to the used technique. The center is embellished with beads, most likely recycled ones. There is a metal bar with a safety feature, sewn in place on the back.

For this card, which could double up as a mini picture when framed, I used a natural colored silk noil. After a bit of machining, I added a dab of paint to enhance the texture. Had a lovely time choosing from my selection of hand dyed threads and then deciding on what type of hand embroidery stitches to use.

The finished embroidered piece is mounted in a 2x2 inch (5x5cm) window of a three-folded card, making the blank inside of the card just as nice as the outside. The back of the card has an oval stamp reading “a handmade card especially for you” and a small golden label.

The 4x6 inch (10,5x15 cm) card is made from recycled paper pulp. It is ivory colored with a slight texture. The envelope is white. Card and envelope is for protection packed in a clear cellophane bag.

This picture is one of a kind and is part of a series of three mounted art quilts.

Two felted designs were applied and merged into the hand dyed (by me) surface, using a selection of sewing and metallic threads. The background was then quilted and distressed. The textured background was highlighted with paint for a final touch.

The quilt is mounted and stretched over a canvas. The back is covered with black felt and mounted with eyelets and wire. The picture is ready to be hung.

These gift tags are made from a vintage Christmas magazine printed in 1943. The tags have that unique vintage feel that only years gone by can provide. The tags are backed with a solid colour, coordinating the lovely soft, natural vintage colour on the text side .

The tags come packed on a string in a cellophane bag. There are 10 large and 15 small tags to a package. The large tags measures 2 ¾ x 1 ¾ inches (7 x 4 ½ cm) the small tags measures 1 ¾ x 1 inches (4 ½ x 2,5 cm)

The photos are examples of what a package might look like. All packs are randomly packed with emphasis on a good mixture of colours and density of print. You will receive a package similar, but not identical to the one shown on the photo.
