Nothing beats the boldness of a bright tartan plaid!

In just amazing vintage condition, this unique shaped handbag shows nearly no wear at all!

This wonderful carrying case can be used for so many things....besides it's original purpose...A grab-and-go picnic kit!

With its original 1970s tag, this kit was originally made by Aladdin. Two sizes were available, this being the smaller size....but even more perfect for a great oblong carry all for any situation....light travel, a roomy purse....you name it! Stylish, yet practical!

The bag measures 12-1/4" tall, and 9" wide, with a generous depth of 4-1/2".

Deep black accents & handles finish the fine details, perfectly stitched with bright white threading. A rounded 17" zipper opens widely to a perfect condition inside.

Inside we find it's original bright red plastic storage bin for sandwiches & goodies, (in mint condition) though the thermos seems to be the better used item at one time, and is not present. The rectangular storage case has a slide-opening lid, and measures 11-1/4" x 4-1/2" with a 3-3/4" depth.

The bottom is finished with 4 brass feet---no scuffing around the still perfect fabric base!

Ruggedly made, it's tag states that it is weather resistant, has a super strong vinyl handle, a weather resistant zipping seal, vinyl backed fabric and sturdy stitched seams.

80s Vintage Italian Chocolate Suede Mid Length Boots - Size 6, 6-1/2

Yummy Chocolate Suede Vintage Italian Mid Length Boots, size 6 or 6-1/2.

I couldn't even get enough pictures of these gorgeous & well-loved boots. The Pancaldi line, in business from 1888, are known for their high quality & very pricey line of shoes & boots.

The stitching is simply amazing, and the suede is in perfect condition! Gorgeous golden inner lining. Yum Yum Yum!
The soles show some wear, but the stacked wooden heels/taps are still in remarkable shape, and many many many more miles on them to go! Very well made & cared for!

Though these are marked a size 6-1/2, I would think they fit more like a size 6. Still too small for me...ashamed to humbly admit, if these did fit me, you probably wouldn't find them here! ;)

Retro Modern Vintage - Blue Topaz Mexican Sterling Silver Designer Ring - December Birthstone

Futuristic, mod & absolutely show stopping.....this vintage estate ring definitely calls out for attention.

So uniquely designed, a rare designer to be found, this sterling Mexican silver ring twists & turns at every angle. Many photos included!

The top of the setting bends in a flower-like flow to meet it's stunning gemstone with 2 prong wraps.

The bottom of the setting swirls into an inner circle, holding the bottom of the stone in place in the most dramatic of ways.

A GORGEOUS blue topaz is the showcase of this ring, measuring a very generous 11mm x 22mm, with a 5mm depth.

Brilliantly diamond cut, this pear-shaped stone is in just amazing condition....with a smooth face that shows barely any wear for a stone of it's age. No chips or major scratches are found. Clear & stunning!

Traditionally, Blue Topaz is known for being the birthstone of Sagittarius or for those born in December. It is also the suggested anniversary gemstone for the 4th, 19th or 23rd year of marriage, and is a symbol of love and fidelity.

The ring is designer signed with initials "J-S", hallmarked "MEXICO, 925" and bares the Eagle 93 symbol. The designer "J-S" was the only artist who used this "93" numbered symbol, according to Hougart's book on Mexican Silver Hallmarks. The type of eagle hallmark used, indicates this ring to be made somewhere between the early 1960's to the late 1970's.

This brilliant Disney Collectible Brooch features a very charming Daisy Duck seated atop of crescent moon loaded with rhinestones.

Made by Napier for Disney in the 1980's, these classic designs were replicated from original early 1940's Disney character molds, most notably made originally by Pell.

In gorgeous mint condition, this gold-plated pin features a very detailed Daisy Duck, and 84 encrusted Swarvoski rhinestone crystals.

Daisy measures nearly 3" in height, and the width of the total brooch measures about 1-1/2". It is signed copyright Disney, and registered Napier on the backside.

Charming indeed, especially for a Disney collector!

Gorgeous 50s Vintage Cocktail Hostess Apron - Sheer Blue with Gold Metallic Embroidery

This Sheer Blue Vintage Apron is simply stunning!

With generous sized back ties that form a lovely bow, this sheer apron features delicate embroidery in metallic gold thread. Stitched in a diamond pattern, paisley designs are also sewn throughout. A generous width waistband gives this apron a very elegant look!

A side, pleated pocket is on the right, edged with metallic gold rick rack, which also adorns the cuffed edge of this apron.

This apron was stored, appeared never to have been used & in amazing Vintage condition! I hand-washed this item, due to it's delicacy, but I think it was the first time to have even been washed. No stains! A nice heavy starch gives the bow a beautiful stance, and leaves the sheer fabric a nice bouncy flow. (Remember to iron on low! And note...as I see so many lovely vintage aprons with stains...that starching also protects against stains absorbing!)

Medium sized, the waist band on this apron measures approximately 19", not including the wrap ties, which are generously portioned at 34" each.

The pixie length adds even more whimsy at 18".

A perfect punch for the pretty hostess!

1950s Vintage Trifari Modern Style Link Necklace and Earrings Set - Patent Pending Design

This 1950's Trifari X-Link-Style Necklace & Earring Set is in excellent condition, and superbly modern for it's age.

Made by Alfred Philippe for Trifari, this sleek necklace and earring set are plated in silver-tone Trifanium. There is little to no wear on the plating...still bright, shining!

Both necklace & earrings are marked "TRIFARI PAT.PEND., and originally designed in the early 1950's. The patent which corresponds to this set is #D173376, which was approved and issued to Alfred Philippe on Nov. 2, 1954. (see image #5)

The necklace has 12 individual 1/2" wide X-Links, crossed over with one smooth side, and one ridged for a nice textured design. A hook clasp secures the necklace, which can be worn as a tighter choker at 14", or extend for a looser look at nearly 17". The Trifari marking is visible on the inside of the hook clasp.

The earrings are clip on, and feature a 3/4" crescent moon shape, crossed by ridge-lined break. Each are signed on the face side of the securing clip.

Alfred Philippe joined as designer in 1930 with Trifari, and his career spanned almost 4 full decades until his retirement in 1968. From head designer to president of Trifari, Alfred lead the company to become the leader in costume & high fashion jewelry.

A sweet little black evening bag!

Appearing as being simply beaded, this small bag is actually a chain mesh of half metal beads, secured to the mesh on the underside by prongs. Quite the little fooler! Being so cool to the touch, made me realize it's beads were actually metal.

With all of it's beads intact, this purse opens to a cloth inside with one small open side pocket. A golden magnetic snap closure holds your goods securely.

Featuring a very long, 46" leather strap, this bag is a nice little hip-hugging take-along! Dance the night away!

A few spots of wearing on the leather appear on the inside of the opening flap, and along the strap, notably where it meets the golden hardware & at the shoulder spot. The strap could be easily be replaced by a golden chain for a very glamorous look...the beaded bag is just that sweet!

Measures 6-1/4" in width and 4-1/2" in length.

Vintage Estate Bling - Sterling Silver Smokey - Honey Topaz Ring

Everyone knows of my love of fine vintage sterling jewelry...but I hit another wonderful estate sale to find many more fine beauties to share!

This one is a total bling-bling ring...beautifully set high for extra brilliance with a 13mm jump from the finger.

A very large 18mm Honey Topaz diamond-cut stone sits front and center. Topaz, known for it's ever-changing-moods, appears either a smokey yellow/brown or a warm honey tone, depending on the light it is exposed to. Brilliantly cut for amazing sparkle, this stone shows only very, very minimal wear...so surprising for a ring of it's age.

Bright 925 Sterling Silver encases the stone with a very artistic flair. A wider cut band on one side clutches a rounded mount setting, while on the other side, is met in an underside mount by a singular band. So pretty!

The 1970's setting shows wearable use....and I am still remarking how this woman was so gentle on her stones! I'm listing 4 of her exquisite rings--I personally would have banged them up so badly, I just know!

Alas...I share them for my more delicate-natured friends!

This charming signed Coro piece is truly a little gem!

Resting on a 1-3/8" gold-plated circular design sits a mounted brass filigree crown embedded with 8 crystal rhinestones, topped with a prong-set amethyst stone center.

Charming, but simple by nature.

Signed with the early Coro hallmark featuring their signature Pegasus, this 1950's pendant necklace has a light 18" golden chain that probably wasn't the original, but is in excellent shiny condition.

The back of the pendant shows surface wear, but overall, the pendant is in very lovely, sparkling vintage condition.

Vintage 1940s-50s Vanity Make Up Clutch Handbag - Brass Hummingbird Etched Design

This simply darling Vanity Purse is such a lovely thing of the past!

The outer condition is excellent vintage. Hard-cased,
quilt-outer-lined with black cloth fabric, featuring a mounted, raised & etched brass design that is gently cut, with modern laser-like definition. A hummingbird is found to the upper right of the design, seen flying atop a flowery pattern. (see close up in image #4 -- DOUBLE CLICK FOR CLOSE UPS! )

The golden lacquered outer finish is still in great vintage condition with very little tarnishing or wear.

A cloth handle, measuring 10" total tops this snap-closure style clutch.

The inside is the catch surprise...A ladies' vanity cure-all!

Designed for 1940's - 1950's cosmetics, a tab-opening textured powder compartment is found, meant for replaceable compacts, as well as a smaller lipstick compartment with a brass flip-out fitting. Measuring just 2-1/4" long, this receptacle is too small for most modern-day lipsticks, but possibly a perfect sized lip gloss instead.

The reverse side finds an angled & beveled mirror, cut to the unique size of the handbag itself. Behind the mirror, a pocket opens for money, identification & other stashables.

The inner portion of this vanity purse is unfortunately where much of the age is scene. The bright lacquered brass of the outside finds much more tarnish & wearing on the inside, and the mirror has...might I say....almost a very cool crackle-like hazing. Hey...at least it's usual! Yet the mirror is still very clear otherwise, and not in such bad condition.

This purse measures 9" with handle extended (4" height on the purse alone), 6-3/4" at widest width, and a 1-1/2" depth.

Truly a conversation piece! An absolute must have for the antique purse collector!

Completely usable, and yet an excellent home decor item as well! Perfect for vintage themed bath or bedrooms too---an adorable item to hang on your wall!!!

Stunning 1930s - 40s Vintage Ladies Hand Held Fan - Renaissance Era Painting - Beautiful Condition

Although I am not an antique fan aficionado...I have certainly spent many hours researching more information on this gorgeous folding fan...and my goodness, after seeing so many relics of time collected by many, I am definitely going to keep my eyes out for more!

And so as well, with a bit of help from some of my antiquing friends, I have found this hand held folding fan is circa 1930-1940.

Black lacquer wood guards, 9 1/8" long, surround this fan, and are curved & variated in size. They are handpainted with a dark venetian gold flourish. The head has a brass rivet and pivot. (At one time it seems a ring or tassel could have been attached---and still could be, as the brass top piece is a fold-over design that will easily open.)

The Renaissance scene depicted on this fan seems of a courtship of a man and woman, with a motherly figure in wait.

The entire front face monture (including the ribs, guardsticks & leaves)is handpainted, from the bottom pivot point to the top leaf fabric. The monture (bottom portion) is lacquered for a simply stunning piece of art.

The entire scene is very finely painted with a continuous background and cloud-like border that extends to the fabric top, which is edged in venetian gold paint as well. The hand painting is excellent and the colors are bright and pronounced. It is simply stunning!

This fan is signed "Monesa", with the signature affixed to the front right. (Possibly "Montsa"?? I really tried in vain to research this! Please see pics!)

The fan has a total span width of 16-3/4". The verso is not painted or decorated, but in wonderful condition as well. A tiny bit of fading on the wooden guards, but not much at all, and certainly in excellent shape for all the years gone by! No chips, cracks or holes in the fan at all!

Very lovely vintage condition! Absolutely worthy of framing!

The fan was purchased from an estate sale in a box that fits it perfectly....I cannot guarantee it is the original packaging, but it does help to date this piece as stored.

These vintage earrings sparkled up so immensely...they are just beautiful!

Featuring Aquamarine gemstones, these dangling filigree earrings are so intricately cut, yet wonderfully stable, with a slight concave bend. Smooth on the backsides.

Wonderfully detailed and elegant!

With a drop length of 1-3/8", at the widest bottom point, they measure 5/8" across. French earwires have replaced the original posts.

Although Aquamarine is commonly known as the birthstone for March, it is also one of the gemstones for the sign of Scorpio, and has wonderful folklore & healing properties!

Since early times, Aquamarine has been believed to endow the wearer with foresight, courage, and happiness. It is also said to increase intelligence and make one youthful.

As a healing stone, Aquamarine is said to be effective as a treatment for anxiety and in the Middle Ages was thought to reduce the effect of poisons.

A legend says that sailors wore aquamarine gemstones to keep them safe and prevent seasickness....perhaps it's beautiful calming tone.

An open design separates the moon and the star featured on this Sterling Silver ring....a very unique statement!

A generous sized ring, perfect for thick fingers, or as a middle or thumb ring. Sized at 8, it can be slightly adjusted either way.

Marked "Mexico" on one inner side of the ring, it also is marked 925 to indicate it sterling silver, as well as "TB-20" to indicate it was made in Taxco. The second letter "B" indicates the first initial of the last name of the silversmith, and the number indicates that he was the 20th smith, with a name beginning with B, to register a mark in his city's assay office.

(A little bit of vintage silver marking info for you! In about 1979, the classic Mexican Eagle marking system was put to rest and replaced by a new letter/number mark to indicate the silversmith and guarantee sterling standard.)

A rugged little hand-cast ring that shows some classic signs of wearing on the band---but still bright and shining as you make your way out of this world!

1950's Vintage Brass West German Ring with Elongated Faux Tigers Eye Stone

This beautiful ring is quite a head turning piece!

Set in an ornate brass filigree, the large, elongated center stone is a beveled, rose-cut glass cabochon simulating a classic amber Tiger's Eye.

Secured by four prong facets, the stone is highly set in an oval bead-shaped surround where a brass filigree heart design meets and adorns each side.

This 1950's Post World War II ring is marked "W. Germany" on the backside.

The ring is formed by antiqued brass twisted rope, and is completely adjustable to fit nearly any size finger! The band width at present is 7/8".

The cabochon measures a full 1" in length, to give the entire ring a generous length of 1-1/2".

The cab is over 3/8" in width. The front face with of the entire ring (including filigree) is 3/4".

The depth of the ring, as it sits on the finger is 1/4". The entire rise, from the top of the stone to the end of the ring itself, is 1-1/4".

Clever little Croc!

This sleek classic vintage clutch features black patent leather in a crocodile skin pattern.

A bamboo styled golden accent opening is displayed on the front side. A snap closure opens to expose a very clean black lining with one side pocket on the interior. Expanding sides gives a very roomy opening.

On the opposite side of this clutch purse we find a clever 4-3/4" side handle for easily handling in a grab & go kind of way! This handle lays flat, so it's classy clutch style does not go unnoticed as well.

The purse measures 8" in length, 6-3/4" standing height, with a 1-1/2" depth at the bottom.

The patent leather is in excellent vintage shape! This only wear of this clutch is seen in it's golden hardware...which, even so, is still bright & shining!

Rare 1930 - 40s Vintage Sterling Silver Floral Brooch - Large and Dimensional

Such an unusual beauty!

This mod-styled, World War II era floral brooch is stunningly unique!

The dimensional petals are double layered, with 4 petals on each layer. Eight prong-set rhinestones are featured as stamen in green, blue, gold and varied stones mixed with green & pink.

Eight curled prongs secure a centered, large blue cut glass stone----teardrop-shaped, and generously cut for a very eye-catching shine & shimmer....simply stunning!

On the back it is hallmarked "Sterling". When discovered, it was severely tarnished, and not nearly the little gem as it appears now! Hints on the backside make me think it may have once been covered with gold vermeil....a very, very long time ago!

The flower itself measures approximately 2-1/2" in diameter. The length of this brooch is 3-3/4".

Awesome Vintage Secretary dress in a super cool retro ZigZag Geometric Design!

This short-sleeved, mid-length dress is in excellent condition---can be shortened or dressed up with a snazzy belt for more attention!

Made of a very light-weight, nearly silky polyester blend, featuring design in black, off white & a tangy taupe in color.

Three gemmy faux-stoned vintage buttons are the focal point below the neckline, with a black trimmed collar for contrast. Zips in back with a clasp closure to secure.

Darts are found along the breast line, and the open-style of this dress could easily be taken in for a more shapely look. In the first 2 photos, I cinched the back to show more shape...but basically the dress is a "straight classic secretary style". Two fabric rings are found on the side, where once a belt may have accompanied.

There is no sizing, yet seems to be a modern size medium-large.

Simply Stunning 1950s Vintage Western German Pendant Necklace with Large Simulated Tigers Eye Center Stone

A simply-stated stunner!

This gorgeous Post World War II, 1950's Western German Brass Filigree-encased pendant necklace features the most beautiful beveled, rose-cut glass cabochon simulating a classic amber tiger's eye.

This large stone measures 1-5/8" length by 1-1/2" width.
It's top bevel features 10 cuts, branching off to another bevel cut with 10 sides, before being met by the bottom-most 2-layered bevels! Gorgeous!

Meeting the pendant portion is a brass heart, followed by a single pearl on each side, and then 3 fancy brass partions.

A linked brass chain follows suit to be met by a classic clasp, where a single ring marked "Made in Western Germany" is found.

The total length of this necklace is a flat 15", making way for a total 24" chain.

The pendant itself, secured encased in the filigree brass measures 2" in length by 1-5/8" width.

This necklace is in wonderful vintage condition, and the surface of it's large center stone features only very minimal surface flaws and scratches. Certainly not nearly the amount you would expect to find on a stone of this size and age!

I've seen a number of similar "Western German" pieces in my collectible costume jewelry books that feature plastic cabochons, glass enameled picture scenes and lucite cameos.

Quoting from "Costume Jewelry, A Practical Handbook & Value Guide", a book by Fred Rezazadeh:

"One category of German jewelry which is quite attractive consists of large colored glass stones with rhinestone or pearl accents mounted on filigree or openwork gold plated metal."

Just a wonderful eye-catching "lucky" piece!

This Washington DC souvenir brooch is such a lovely treasure!

A pale Gold-plated, cursive "Mother" pin tops this piece---which secures a dainty drop heart, lined with 16 prong-set light blue rhinestones. The heart itself is made of mother of pearl, and is topped with a very detailed "bubble" depicting the United States Capitol Building and the words "Washington DC".

Oh how such souvenirs have changed from such sweet little keepsake relics!

Perfect for a Patriotic Mom, or a Mother whose son or daughter may be serving overseas! This piece could also be broken apart for a new "drop piece" to attach to the Mother pin, and the gorgeous original heart set onto a new chain as well.

This pin is actually one of two similar brooches that my dad gave to his mother, my grandmother, and his mother-in-law (Grams #2) when he was doing his state-wide tour of duty before going to Viet Nam in 1966. While on that duty, my mother gave birth to my brother in Tacoma, WA, and soon after, my dad ventured overseas himself. The nostalgic charm is absolutely indebted, and alas...I had to keep one for myself!

Vintage Brooch - Rhinestones with 1944 WINGED LIBERTY HEAD DIME - Wear as Brooch or Pendant

Simply stunning custom jewel piece!

This gorgeous piece of vintage costume jewelry could be even more of a precious find if:

1) You know a special lady born in 1944 (would be 65 this year!)
2) ...especially if their birthday is in May!

Encased in a silver-plated leafy setting, sits this 1944 Mercury Winged Liberty Head Dime. Surrounding the piece are 5 emerald green rhinestones (perfect for the May birthstone!) as well as 2 smaller pink rhinestones, 2 even smaller yellow rhinestones, and lastly, 4 smallest golden rhinestones.

Quite a bit more stunning than these pictures can capture!

Such pieces of costume jewelry were popular in the 1950's & 1960's. Many times the birthstones of the mother and/or children were used in it's settings. The coins were either of the mother's year of birth, or the child, giving it to their mother as a gift.

So, considering...Emeralds for May, Rose Zircon for October (in which an Opal is the more commonly used birthstone), and the yellow/gold stones for November's Citrine or Topaz birthstones.

With a back pin setting, it can be worn as a brooch, but even more spectacular is an added cast loop in which a silver chain can easily be attached to be worn as a necklace!

In length it is approximately 2-1/2", and 1-1/4" in width.

This adorable hummingbird brooch is in mint condition. The bright gold vermeil body is textured with fine detailing and accented by a single red rhinestone eye.

This piece measures 2" across x 1 3/4" in length. Nicely weighted in construction, features a stamped hallmark on the reverse side (unsure of designer)

1940s-50s Vintage Marboux signed Choker Necklace by Marcel Boucher

Everyone who loves vintage costume jewelry simply adores and respects the work of famed designer, Marcel Boucher!

This textured and dimensional choker necklace gives a very elegant draped look against the neckline. Brushed gold plated metal surrounds the linked pieces, and ends with a chain to secure to a hooked closure with golden orb finale on the opposite side.

Signed "Marboux" in bas relief, this piece also features a copyright sign, and the inventory number "1032".

A close-fitting choker, it measures approximately 14" at fullest extension. One small indentation can be seen in a middle swoop, and is priced accordingly for this flaw.

Still, a wonderfully kept piece in great vintage condition!

Marcel Boucher was one of the most respected designers of high end costume jewelry. He designed jewelry for Mazer Bros. and then for Cartier in the early 1930s. He established his own company in 1937, and brought many new & unique details into the world of costume jewelry of the era. Though highly sought signed "Boucher" pieces are extraordinary in value, the "Marboux" line was of the earlier trademarks used by Mr. Boucher, and very fine specimens of distinction as well.

A sharp pair of Vintage Swank silver toned cuff links set with round blue Moonglow Lucite inserts.

The oval faces meet with silver metal mesh for a wrap style that is super classy, and roomy for differing attire.

Each cuff link face measures 1/2" x 3/4". The Moonglow Lucite inserts measure 1/2" round. The silver mesh measures 1/2" wide, and gives a total length of 2-1/2", when laid fully and unclasped.

Only one cuff link shows wear to the silvertone finish, which is noted on it's outer side.

Marked "Swank"....a classic for every sharp dressed man!

This fantastically unique picnic basket can certainly be also used for a wide variety of things...from gathering garden vegetables to holding crafts, to going to the beach for a day of fun!

Made of Sweet Cane, I was told it was purchased while once on a vacation to Mexico. This basket is very flexible and giving, yet very durable....and has certainly stood the test of time! Very few spots of the wrapped cane are loose. The rest of the basket is in excellent vintage condition!

The most unique and unusual feature of this classic basket is how the curved handles (so comfortable to carry!) fit into 2 side slots on the matching cover lid to secure it's closure.
