What we have here is a Christmas tree ornament made from
teeny bracelets and old Christmas cards I have lying around in my studio. This series is based on ornaments my grandmother made back in the 60's. I recently inherited hers and was inspired to make new ones to share with you.

Each ornament is backed with scrapbook paper for a finishing touch and is READY TO HANG!

This particular one is made with a gold-toned metal bracelet with rough texture. The insert is a portion of a Christmas card featuring 5 little Cardinals perched in a tree. See first photo for details.

Measures Approx:
2.6 in/ 6.5 cm in diameter

What we have here is a Christmas tree ornament made from
teeny bracelets and old Christmas cards I have lying around in my studio. This series is based on ornaments my grandmother made back in the 60's. I recently inherited hers and was inspired to make new ones to share with you.

Each ornament is backed with scrapbook paper for a finishing touch and is READY TO HANG!

This particular one is made with a plastic bracelet. It's chartreuse/lime green notches around the edges that are white and gold to simulate somethin' fancy. The insert is part of the sentiment portion of the card and says: "May you be blessed with the spirit of Christmas" in red on a plain white background.

Measures Approx:
2.5 in/ 6.5 cm in diameter

Eventually I'd like to sell these individually to let you mix and match them up. But for now, I've taken the liberty of creating sets. As I was making these I started to see themes and it led me to put them into groups of 4. This doesn't mean they wouldn't ROCK if you hung 50 of them on a wall...In fact, unless you're tight for space, I would suggest an entire wall of these!

Hang them as shown in the photo, in a line, diagonally, vertically, however you see fit, but most of all have fun with it!

I have 3 sizes of these laminate samples and some sets have a combination of these. They can be any of the 3 possible dimensions (approx):
-1.75in x 2.875in (4.5cm x 7cm)

I think she's speechless...

These are made using images from encyclopedia, old children's books, magazines, and whatever else I can get my hands on. Using a special technique the images are transferred to the canvas, automatically getting that distressed look. Canvas board has been sealed for protection and has a matte finish.

Made from recycled ballusters and topped with a funny mug or bowl, this series of kitschy candlesticks was inspired by all things quirky. They may seem shabby chic in their construction, but don't let that fool you. These guys are pure kitsch!

This piece is topped with a holiday mug featuring music and lyrics to the song Jingle Bells on one side, the words Egg Nog on the other, and is approx. 10.75 in/27 cm tall. Felt has been applied to the bottom to avoid scratching your table top. But don't let me limit your use of this item. Think of the possibilities: candy dish, pencil/crayon holder, coffee stirrer storer :) 4th photo shows you some sample uses.

Trashion Palchemy - Reversible Handbag with Embroidery Hoop Handles

This purse was made from upcycled materials as part of the Etsy Trashion Palchemy Project. My partner was the talented lady behind yearofthegoat.etsy.com. All of the fabulous loot she sent me can be seen in the last photo!

The floral fabric was a sales sample about the size of a placemat and the fabulously mod orange velour appears to have been part of some sort of drapery treatment. The hoop was one of many included in the wonderful package from yearofthegoat.etsy.com. The only thing not from her box is the marigold fabric used for the interior lining.

This piece is Reversible! Don't feel so floral? Go for the solid marigold instead! Fun and flirty, this cutie would make a great addition to your summer wardrobe!

When I spotted this discarded little floral dish, I knew it wouldn't be long before it got a new life. Someone had taken the time to pour it and do a bisque fire, but didn't glaze it. That's where I stepped in!

I've given it a coat of a lovely pale yellow and followed the paint with 2 coats of clear coat. I envision it on someone's dresser or vanity as a catch-all for jewelry you wear on a daily basis. It could also be a dish for those little fancy soaps. Do what you will with it - I'm just here to give the cute little thing a second chance.

The 2nd and 3rd photos are *before* shots, but were included to show the dish from different angles. And the last photo is a *before & after* shot.

Made from junk mail, magazines and more, these paper spheres are eco-friendly and totally chic! I teach this paper bead making technique as a workshop at my brick and mortar store in Miami and its popularity has inspired me to make some for my Etsy shop.

Pink Berry upcycled earrings

I teach this paper bead making technique as a workshop at my brick and mortar store in Miami and its popularity has inspired me to make some for my Etsy shop.

This listing is for a pair of earrings featuring a 0.5in/1.25cm TALL oval orb-shaped paper bead, made from phonebook pages, anchored on each side with a black seed bead. All three beads are strung onto a handmade silver-toned hoop and are ready to wear. Each one measures just under 2in/5cm from the bottom of the earwire to the bottom of the paper bead.

Made from recycled ballusters, attached to a wood base, and topped with a souvenir shot glass, this series of kitschy candlesticks was inspired by memories of the open road. They may seem shabby chic in their construction, but don't let that fool you. These guys are pure kitsch!

This candlestick is topped with shot glasses from Nashville, San Antonio, & South Dakota and is approx. 18 in / 45.5 cm tall. Felt has been applied to the bottom of the base to avoid scratching your tables.

Don't let me limit your use of this item. Think of the possibilities: tealight holder, toothpicks, egg cup.

Last Photo illustrates some possible uses :)

FYI: Series is limited to the amount of candlesticks produced from the recycled ballusters I found. This means, I won't be going to Home Depot to buy more wood to make more candlesticks. See 3rd and 4th photo.

Eventually I'd like to sell these individually to let you mix and match them up. But for now, I've taken the liberty of creating sets. As I was making these I started to see themes and it led me to put them into groups of 4. This doesn't mean they wouldn't ROCK if you hung 50 of them on a wall...In fact, unless you're tight for space, I would suggest having an entire wall of these!

Hang them as shown in the photo, in a line, diagonally, vertically, however you see fit, but most of all have fun with it!

I have 3 sizes of these laminate samples and some sets have a combination of these. They can be any of the 3 possible dimensions (approx):
-1.75in x 2.875in (4.5cm x 7cm)
-2in x 3in (5cm x 7.5cm)
-1.875in x 3.875in (4.5cm x 9.5cm)

Each sample is sealed for protection and each set of 4 is packaged for easy gift giving.

I'm finally starting the list revamped furniture from my brick and mortar store in Miami. I had been hesitant because of packing/shipping, but have decided to start with some smaller items and work my way up from there. So without further ado:

This cute little footstool had much humbler beginnings. The woven top was crunchy and falling apart so...
It was painted off-white and upholstered with a pale blue and white stripe jersey for that relaxed beach cottage feel. But I didn't stop there! I dyed some vintage pom-pom fringe to match and glued it around the border. THEN, vintage yo-yo's/rosettes were attached to the top, after each one was embellished with a vintage button in the center. See last photo for a look at the Before & After.

This makes a great conversation piece!
