This simple yet interesting piece was named after the Lenni Lenape tribe who live(d) in this region of Pennsylvania. The cloisonne turtle charm featured in this piece reminds me of the symbol for the Unami Nation.

The cluster of charms also include freshwater pearl, Mother of Pearl, capiz shell, Czech glass, carved turquoise, and Swarovski crystal.

Finished with a gold tone chain and leaf-form toggle clasp, this necklace will hang approximately 9" down chest when worn. Customizable length, so I could add some extra links to make the necklace longer if desired.

This piece is one of a kind and will not be recreated, however I do have several other similar styled necklaces available for purchase.

Raindrop Earrings

I created these earrings for the EtsyOWLs April Challenge -- we decided to challenge ourselves by picking a word and then creating a piece inspired by it. For April, we voted on the word RAIN (fitting, right?).

These cascading "rain drops" are actually blue onyx tumbled stones. They reminded me of the big, fat raindrops that fall in the beginning of the rainstorms that let you know that warm air is on its way in! The stones suspend from sterling plated fine chain, and are finished with extra long sterling plated fish-hook earrings. The extended hook adds balance to a heavier design, while also creating a sleek, elegant look.

Earrings measure approx. 3" to bottom of last stone.

Indulge yourself with this gorgeous necklace inspired by the golden rays of the sun, as well as the beautiful painting "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer" by Gustav Klimt. Déesse du Soleil means Goddess of the Sun in French!

The necklace includes a large variety of beads in many shapes, sizes, textures, and colors -- just like a Klimt painting! Included: lampwork glass beads, carved stone flowers, carnelian rounds, freshwater pearls in 4 colors, Czech glass, cat's eye glass, painted glass, glass seed beads, and a solitary Swarovski crystal.

Barnegat Bay Earrings -- Etsy Owls Challenge

For the month of August, the Etsy Owls were challenged to create a piece inspired by travel. One of my favorite places to travel to is the beach, and one of my favorite activities has always been to find small treasures on the beach. Although I did not find these specific shells while on vacation, they did remind me of the beautiful sunset on Barnegat Bay, in Long Beach Island, NJ. The shells are suspended from kidney-style earwires, and the earrings dangle 1 and 3/4" from earlobe. The shells themselves measure approximately 1mm x 1.5mm. They are incredibly lightweight, and although the shells appear delicate they should last a long time if cared for properly.

The cluster of charms were inspired by the treasures of the sea, and include freshwater pearl, Mother of Pearl, natural shell, Czech glass, green chalk turquoise, Swarovski crystal, and a cloisonne seahorse.

Finished with a gold tone chain and lobster clasp, this necklace measures just under 16" from end to end, and will hang approximately 7.5" down chest when worn. Customizable length, so I could add some extra links to make the necklace longer if desired.
