Large Natural Abalone Shell Display Dish with Carved Wood Stand

$12.00
What a great way to display your jewelry at a show or for sale in your store!

Each natural abalone shell measures around 7 to nine inches long and varies in width from about 3-1/2 to 4 inches. The shell will sit naturally in the stand (we should have a picture of that soon).

This can also be used as a traditional smudge burner for cleansing or an insence burner for traditional cone incense.

The stand is carved from one piece of wood and holds the shell nicely.

Please be careful when burning anything and never leave burning things unattended.

Each abalone shell is different because it is natural, but it will be very similar to the one shown. Stands are unique because they are made from natural wood, too.

The sage smudge bundle is not included.

Silver Hinged Frame Pendant - 1 x 2 inches Oblong Glass - Package of 2

$7.50
You can certainly have tons of fun with this hinged frame pendant. Just add your own print, photograph, vintage paper, scraps, ..., you name it - and you'll have a very special necklace. This pendant is reversible, so you can really present two different images - one on each side!

The bail is quite large - 7mm - so you can hang it from a ribbon or fibre necklace. The pendant opens and closes with a latch so you can change the image every day if you like! Consider adding components to the outside of the glass as well.

Because each of these is handmade, there will be slight differences, making yours especially unique.

This listing is for 2 pendants.
Art Rubber Stamp - Silhouette Bird Tree - H2165

$9.50
Here at SilverCrow Creations, we love all birds, but especially crows, so sometimes we stretch the limit and call a bird a crow or a raven if there is any similarity at all.

This lovely stamp is not a crow, but makes a striking image whenever you use in it a single color - these are some of our favorite stamps - they make "easy art" - when you're in a hurry.

Our sample uses another stamp, too, D2205 - Fly with Wings, based on an old French proverb. This stamp is available on SilverCrow's Website: http://www.SilverCrowCreations.com.

The silhouette image measures not quite 4 inches in length by just over 2-1/4 inches wide. The wood, of course, will be just a bit larger.

All of SilverCrow Creations' stamps are vulcanized from fine red rubber right here in our studio. We make stamps to order. So, yours will be made especially for you - we don't keep stock on hand.

We then mount the rubber on the best mounting foam we can buy and then we cut our own hourglass hardwood mounts - we find them easier to handle. The image will be indexed on the top of the wood for reference.

Spun Glass Angel Hair from Germany - Plus 1 Pair of Reusable Nitrile Gloves for Handling

$3.35
Trimming a holiday tree became prominent during the Victorian times, and spun glass angel's hair or fairy's hair like this was on of the favorites then as it is now! It adds a touch of elegant whimsy to any display - especially when there are electric lights. The soft glow of the cloud-like hair enhances any lights - either white or color.

Still handmade in the traditional manner by a family company, each bag contains 15 grams of non-inflammable super-fine spun glass fibers. Although such spun glass hair is available from other sources, the German spun glass angel hair is truly curly hair. It does not compress easily and will stay curly. Use it as you would tinsel for special effects.

*****Please be careful when decorating or crafting with Spun Glass products. Remember, they are made of glass and might cause some irritation. Please cover your work surface with paper or plastic to catch any stray fibers and consider wearing gloves rather than your bare hands when using the Angel's Hair.

We are providing 1 pair of reusable hypo-allergenic puncture-resistant, unpowdered Nitrile gloves, size Medium, to help protect your hands.
Golden Santisima Muerte Charm or Pendant

$4.50
The Santisima Muerte (aka, Saint Death or Santisima Muerte) is a non-canonized saint, however she is highly revered throughout the Americas as a protector and brings luck in love and life. The red hand-painted background accents the image of the saint on this very special medal. It measures about 1-1/2 inch long.

La Santisima Muerte's (the Death Saint) roots are in the cult of an Indian goddess whom the Aztecs called Mictlancihuatl meaning the “Lady of Death”. She is closely associated with the Day of the Dead and is frowned upon by the Catholic Church, although she is believed by many to be an incarnation of the Blessed Mother, in much the same way as the Virgin of Guadalupe.

La Santisima Muerte is often depicted as a female Grim Reaper. There are three figures that are used in this cult - a white one, a black one, and a red one. The white was is for cures and for luck. The black one is for protection and vengeance, and the most commonly used one is red - for love spells, for which she is most famously successful.

Some versions of this folk saint have her holding a scythe, like the grim reaper, while others have her holding a set scales. With these scales, she weighs the good and evil of your life. If the good you have done in your life outweighs the bad, Santisima Muerte takes you in one direction, and if the bad outweighs the good, she takes you in the other.
Use it as is or stretch it out and use it in its crinkly form. Wrap it around your project, bunch it up it up, just play with it. You might even want to use it as a curly tinsel garland for a feather tree!

SilverCrow offers our Golden Krausbouillion in generous 1/2-ounce packages. Although silver Krausbouillion is the traditional color used in most older European ornaments, gold was quite popular, too.

The original Krausbouillion is made in Germany and Austria. Ours is made by a modernized process that plates copper wire, so it is less expensive. It's quite beautiful and lends old world elegance to any project.

These Presto Stick® self-adhesive stickers. These stickers are vintage, although the same patterns are made today. Add the luck o' the Irish to correspondence or even your bill payments. You'll certainly find smiling eyes, whether they be Irish or not!

These stickers are from Eureka, a classic holiday decoration company. We expect that these are from the late 1980s.

These are VINTAGE stickers and the adhesive is probably not as good as it once was. Use caution when removing them from the booklet and, if the adhesive is less than perfect, please add glue or use an adhesive applier (like a Xyron).

Full Sheet of Vintage Coca-Cola (COKE) Bingo Markers

$5.50

Coke items are always popular and we love this sheet of vintage Coca-Cola bingo markers! Each of the markers is circular and is perforated, so that you can punch each one out individually, if you please.

The entire sheet is 5-1/2 inches square, making each of the markers around 7/8 inch in diameter. These sheets are new old stock - never used. The top and bottom edges show what looks like some rough wear. But, really it was the perforation for tearing the sheets apart. The sheets came in long strips and were torn off as needed.

These were used for bingo games in charity halls and military canteens in the 1940s through the 1950s.
These are great for lots of reasons! Of course, Coke collectors will love the sheet as is. But, consider punching out the markers and using them in an invitation to a 1940s or 1950s-style party. Or, wouldn't one be just great in scrapbook featuring a World War II romance at the canteen? Cokes were the rage, that's for sure! Although older, they are modern enough looking that they could be used in a modern collage or memory book as well.

At 22¢ per marker, there are just so many possibilities!
Silvery Krausbouillion - Krinkle - Crinkle Wire

$3.50
This is the old-fashioned crinkle wire, just like the tinsel used on antique European holiday ornaments. Use it as is or stretch it out and use it in its crinkly form. Wrap it around your project, bunch it up it up, just play with it.

Our close-up shows both silver and gold crinkle wire.

You might even want to use it as a curly tinsel garland for a feather tree! In fact, lots of people just hang it as is on a holiday tree, like old fashioned icicles...but, watch out, we're sure if you do this, there will be great temptation to stretch it out! It's great fun!

SilverCrow offers our Silvery Krausbouillion in generous 1/2-ounce packages. Silver Krausbouillion is the traditional color used in most older European ornaments. Over the years, expect a lovely patina to develop.

The original Krausbouillion is made in Germany and Austria. Ours is made by a modernized process that plates copper wire, so it is less expensive. It's quite beautiful and lends old world elegance to any project.

We have stretched out the Krausbouillion in our sample with Santa. Sorry, Santa scrap, sprig and white mica not available at this time.

Old-Fashioned Laundry Sprinkler - Great for Speckling Paint, Dye and More

$3.75
Our old fashioned laundry sprinkler fits easily into most household bottles. We think it best when used with a glass bottle, but it should work in a plastic bottle, too.

Martha Stewart is a fan of the laundry sprinkler and has demonstrated it on her show. It was quite common years ago to sprinkle the laundry and then place it in the refrigerator before ironing. Even before the refrigerator, sprinklers were used to help smooth linens and cottons before the steam iron was around.

We still use one of these when ironing our linen tablecloths and doilies and even with some shirts! If you want to make your linens crisp, then you must try one of these old-fashioned 1950s-style plastic and cork sprinkler to fit in your own bottle.

Consider also using our sprinkler to "water" your artwork. Or, use it with other liquids (be careful that they are safe for plastic and cork).

We have even heard of people placing holy water or ritual waters in bottles and sprinkling about their living spaces for blessings and good fortune.

Vintage World War II US Army Overseas Service Stripes - 5 Stripes

$10.00
Service stripes are also known as hash marks or bars in the US military. They are presented to enlisted service members to denote length of service. Each of these bars (or stripes) were used to commemorate 6 months of overseas service during World War II.

These authentic gold stripes are unused and backed with buckram, commonly used to stabilize the felt cloth for embroidery. The felted material is what appears to us to be an army green/brown over-dyed wool.

We were fortunate to obtain a length of them, so we will cut them to order. All stripes you order will be in one piece as pictured in the illustration.

Five stripes are illustrated above, denoting 2-1/2 years of overseas duty. These were awarded in recognition of time served, regardless of the type of service. A soldier need not have served in actual combat to receive stripes.

If you want more than 5 stripes, just convo us....we can cut almost any number for you in all one piece.

This set of 5 stripes would be $12.50 on our website, so this is a little bargain!
Each star is made of tinsel that is just a bit crinkled for fullness. This crinkle also creates the most beautiful shimmer when holiday lights reflect. These are old store stock and are in superb condition.

Each 6 cm ornament is packaged in a protective plastic box and may need a little fluffing for fullness. Or, you might want to flatten one and add a vintage die cut scrap for a special ornament. There is a self hanger for your convenience.

This listing is for ONE star only. We've also included a sample picture of an ornament we made with it.

Silver Metal Stamping - Repousee Oval in Rectangle Frame

Each one measures 2 inches by 2-3/4 inches with an oval opening for your artwork or photograph. The filigree stampings that surround the oval resemble leafy wings. These lightweight metal stampings can be cut with scissors, but we like them just they way they are. Of course you can turn it around to create an upright frame if you like.

Consider using this as a mat within a frame instead of regular mat board. This is also a nice component for a very special wedding favor or bridal party gift. Each frame is hand stamped and cut by artisans who created the designs.
Vintage Skookum Papoose Mailer in Leather Holder - Signed by the Artist - circa 1930s

$65.00
Vintage Native American Skookum Papoose Doll in Leather Papoose Holder - with the original mailing tag!

The tag was produced by Dennison, famous for it's tags, seals, stickers and labels (now a part of Avery-Dennison). The tag reads on the front:

GREETINGS (you can only see GREETIN, the rest is covered with 2 one-cent USA Stamps. The cancellation appears to be LAKE GEORGE, NY. This makes sense, as Lake George is in one of the largest vacationlands in the US - the Catskills).

From Mr and Mrs. Donald (the rest is under the stamps)

FORT TICONDEROGA (this is an inked stamp mark from a rubber stamp)

To Miss Arlen[e H]oner (we're guessing at the letters between the brackets - they're under the cancellation).
104 Galin St.
Clyde, N.Y.

On the back of the tag, it reads:

Meet my new friend Smiling Face
Very pleasant as you see,
Who'll take my message straight to you,
"I'm well as well can be."

From_________________

The papoose holder has been sewn together by machine and is made of sueded leather. The top has been stamped with leather tools and darkened - it appears to be made to resemble a real papoose holder that would have been strapped to keep the little baby safe inside.

The baby is made of bisque and, true to Skookum standards, the eyes are facing away from us (to our left, the baby's right). Hair, eyes and mouth are painted on as are body accents like knees. S/he slips out of the holder easily (which makes it even more amazing that it survived this long as a souvenir!) The baby measures 2-1/4 inches long by about 1/2 inch wide. Arms are down at the sides. The baby has been tinted a darker color and some white highlighted spots (derrière, toes, heels and tummy). There is a lot of detail that you won't notice till you inspect this little souvenir. It's amazing!

It has even been signed by the artist!

This souvenir from the Arrow Novelty Company in New York is a true treasure of early 20th century vacation travel.

Vintage Lenticular - 3D -Winky - Gizmo - For Golf or Other Measurement

$7.65
We've always enjoyed lenticular (winky, blinky, flicker) images - especially the vintage ones. These are quite special vintage Vari-Vue triangles with moving arrows.

Sometimes called flashers, flickers, wiggles or animated paper, our lenticulars are all cool, but this one is really neat. This Vari-Vue flicker (we think these are the best!) was made in 1967 and is still in excellent condition. Each is a triangle with a hole at the top - so it can be attached to a key chain or to any project easily. From the top an arrow swings like a pendulum back and forth. The image is so wonderful that it almost makes you dizzy watching the arrow!

But the real use might just surprise you!

We are told that this is a Golf Practice Gizmo. No fooling - that's the real name! To make it work, insert your golf tee through the hole. Place the ball and then place your ball and your Gizmo on the ground in position for driving. If the arrows move, it measures your body sway. A stationary arrow indicates a steady swing.

Each individual triangle measures approximately 2-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches. These are great fun for golfer who celebrate the history of the sport as well as the play. Whether used for golf or not, you'll find this to be mesmerizing.
Vintage Celluloid and Rhinestone Belt Buckle - BARGAIN SALE - Shipping Reduced, Too

$35.00
WAS $42.50 - SHIPPING REDUCED, TOO!

From my Great Aunt Lillian's couture design collection, this great 2-part belt buckle is made of celluloid. Or, at least that's what Aunt Lillian told me years ago.

Her sister-in-law, Martha Sleeper, was well known for her acting career in Silent Films. But, better yet, Martha is well known for her bakelite jewelry designs. Martha's designs were much more whimsical, so we can be pretty sure that this was not one of her designs.

The reason we tell this story: Aunt Lillian knew her plastics. This doesn't feel like bakelite, but we're pretty sure it is celluloid of some sort.

The color is mottled olive green (almost Army gren). Atop the triangle-shaped plastic pieces, are metal triangles filled with rhinestones. This has been repair, but the repair alone was made over 50 years ago. Today such a repair would have been made with glue. You can see the repair from the back.

The buckle also features raised scallop on the larger end of each triangle. These have been carved into flower shapes.

When hooked together, the belt buckle is 3-1/2 inches wide. The skinniest height (just in the middle where the two pieces connect) is just a smidgen under 1/2 inch. The wider part (on each end) is 1-1/4 inch.

The buckle hooks underneath with a metal clasp (one side is a hook and the other a loop). This is great because you can't see the hook from the front. There is some rust on the hook's metal. We never clean vintage items for fear we would ruin the value or memories behind it.

Each of the two halves have two rings for attaching them to the belting material.

This is quite a find! Especially since we reduced it from $42.50!

Spun Glass Angel Hair from Germany - Plus 1 Pair of Nitrile Gloves for Handling

We are providing 1 pair (2 gloves) of hypo-allergenic puncture-resistant, unpowdered Nitrile gloves, size Medium, to help protect your hands.
These vintage spectacles magnify what ever you see through them! They adjust just like a pince-nez so that they will stay steady on your nose. Of course you can use them as intended - for close work, or consider them for a unique costume accessory. But we think they would be better employed as a terrific embellishment or focal point for your assemblage!

Well, we have sold these glasses for over 10 years and all along, we were pretty sure that the lenses were glass and that the frames are black Bakelite or celluloid with a metal adjusting hinge. But, thanks to a very alert customer, we are now pretty sure that the lenses are plastic.

Black Fleur di Lis Pendant - Vitreous Enamel

The stylized emblem is easily recognized as it adorns so very many items. It has long been associated with the French crown and with other heraldry.

Legends abound regarding the image. One of our favorites is that it represents the lily that was given by the Virgin Mary to Clovis, King of the Franks (466-511). Supposedly the lily was sprung from the tears shed by Eve as she left the Garden of Eden.

This striking pendant measures 7/8 inch wide by 1-1/4 inch long. Made of vitreous enamel, each pendant is assembled by hand, so please allow for some variability.

Equally beautiful as jewelry or as an art element in a shrine or assemblage, this unique piece is conservatively priced for such elegant craftsmanship.
Mini Tin of Faux Wampum Beads

Wampum beads are usually created from the quahog shell and are very dear. These allow you a similar look at a much lower price. Created by artists who studied true wampum, the beads range from white to off-white to purple with white striping and pure purple. Each tin contains a random mix. of over 25 beads.

Because each bead is handmade, each is unique, just like the originals. The variegated coloring, in both the purple and white, is very much like the quahog and whelk shells from which true wampum beads are created. Each bead is about 10mm long and about 5mm in diameter. Use these with your regular stringing wire or silk, or use the traditional single-ply (imitation) sinew.

The other picture features a bracelet made of wampum, sinew & leather.

This charm is not Native American Indian produced, a Native American Indian product or the product of a particular Native American Indian, Native American Indian Tribe or Native American Indian Arts and Crafts Organization.
Authentic Vintage Vuarnet 4002 Red Cat-Eye Sunglasses with Skilynx Lenses - Excellent Condition Used

$70.00
I bought these gorgeous sunglasses brand new in an upscale part of Pittsburgh, PA. They were and still are the greatest sunglasses. Alas, I need corrected sunglasses and can no longer wear them.

They are used, but in superb condition. These same glasses, if unused, would sell for upwards of $150!

Authentic Vuarnet sunglasses, these are quite rare and have been discontinued by Vuarnet. Just like all other Vuarnet glasses, they are made in France by Pouilloux Paris.

The model number is imprinted in white on the inside the frame.

The frames are the original cateye made of nylon plastic.

The lenses are authentic (check the stylized V at the top center of each lens, as it has been etched into the lens to show authenticity). They are amber brown, Skilynx - the original non-glare sunglass.

The cateye lens style is gender neutral and the red frames are quite artisic looking on men or women.

These were the very most popular Vuarnets ever. The left temple arm reads, in white letters VUARNET, with the symbol for Pouilloux (PX) at the hinge. The hinge on the right temple arm reads, PX also.

The inside right temple arm features an embossed FRANCE and the image of a crown. The inside left temple arm, reads in embossed letters, POUILLOUX and in white letters, the model number 4002.

Jean Vuarnet wore the original cat-eye style sunglasses in the 1960 Olympics and these have been popular ever since!

Vuarnet sunglasses are known for durability and memory with high quality optics.

There are few if any scratches on these glasses. I inspected them well on both sides with a magnifying glass, but I have to admit that my eyesight isn't what it used to be.

The glasses will arrive with the original slipcase.

They are especially wonderful for up-cycling as they are easily painted with today's modern metal paints.

These were part of a large purchase we made from a Brooklyn warehouse. These are new old stock from the mid-20th century. There were tons of pins and my Mom separated them all into lots of similar items.

These two pins feature sweet little posies with paste jewels metal and plastic parts. Some of the enamel paint has worn, giving the pins a shabby chic appearance, but this adds to their charm, if you ask us!

The pins measure approximately 1-1/4 inch by 3/4 inch and the actual pin finding is on the back of the flower head.

These were made by a novelty company - not a jewelry company - so please be careful when working with them. So, for novelties, these are well made.
There is even one that resembles a medal of Our Lady of Grace. Most of these pins are 1 inch in diameter or smaller

If you care to do so, you might re-work the cabochon pins into assemblage pieces by removing the cabochon and applying a new image, or, indeed by replacing it with something else. Please be careful if you choose to remove the cabochon - especially if you are bending the prongs.

These were made by a novelty company - not a jewelry company - so please be careful when working with them. So, for novelties, these are well made.
They are cleverly made and most are in fine shape. There is some wear from handling on some of the cabochons.

It appears that the cabs are made of metal and that the image has been transferred onto the cabochon either by printing or some other method.

This batch features 3 styles of Zodiac pins.

Each measures 1-3/4 inch wide by 1-1/4 inch tall. The images are:

2 Rams (Aries)
2 Bulls (Taurus)
1 Lion (Leo)

The images are stylized and feature each of the representational animals on a tree branch with flowers and leaves. They are nicely done for the novelties they are. But, they do show some wear.

The pins on the back down the center of the longest dimension on both styles. Some may move a bit.

If you care to do so, you might re-work these into assemblage pieces by removing the cabochon and applying a new image, or, indeed by replacing it with something else. Well, first I lost the ones I had, then I realized how heavy such a bracelet might be if I added all the charms (so far there are 33 and my husband boasts 35!)!!!

So, we're selling the very few that I collected.

This is a vintage sterling silver charm (marked F Sterling on the back). It features some illustrations and bears the words:

CHESAPEAKE BAY
ANNAPOLIS
BALTIMORE

The charm measures 7/8 inch wide by 1/2 inch high (not including the jump ring).

The silver has been oxidized to accent the 3D illustrations and words.

There is a lot of wear on the front paint from handling.

These are made of brass and were then painted. The helmets are embossed to highlight the details of the helmet, but these could easily be re-painted to feature your team's colors.

The CHICAGO name is really a clear sticker that has been added to each helmet and can be easily removed.

We just can't figure out what team these were supposed to represent. Although the Cardinals were once in Chicago, it was so long ago that the helmets were leather.

These were made by a novelty company - not a jewelry company - so please be careful when working with them. So, for novelties, these are well made.

Some of the pins indicate that they were made in Hong Kong on the back.

Vintage Milagro (Ex Voto) Silver Tin - Girl Praying

$5.50
Milagros, or Miracles, found in many areas of Latin America, are used by the people to petition saints for help or protection. In many of the churches one can see wooden statues of various saints, the Virgin Mary, or of Christ. on these figures, the people often pin metal images of arms, legs, animals, praying figures or other symbols of their prayers.

These Milagros serve to remind the saint of the person's prayers or to thank the saint for prayers that have been answered. Horse or sheep figures may be left to ask for help in healing a sick animal or for fertility.

Students may leave an open book asking for divine intervention in their grades. Hearts are often left to thank the saint for answering the prayers of the lovelorn. Each milagro is specially made for a unique purpose, so the variety is enormous.

VINTAGE MILAGRO or EX VOTO of a PRAYING GIRL or PRAYING WOMAN

This milagro is made in the ex voto style, which is a square or rectangle with a repoussé image on a flat piece of metal. The girl or woman is in prayer with her folded hands raised to heaven. She has been embossed into the metal by hammering and hand pressing. Around the perimeter, a chain-like dotted frame has also been embossed. There is a large hole at the top of the piece for adding a ribbon to hang. Or, you might just set this over a nail already in the wall.

This would make a lovely holiday ornament or you might choose to add it to your artwork. We were told when we purchased this that it was 50 years old and that was about 8 or 9 years ago.

This vintage milagro is from Mexico and measures 1-13/16 inches high by 1-1/4 inch wide.

****We rarely clean vintage items for fear of ruining the value. And we have not cleaned this milagro. If you choose to clean the bit of rust (which is exaggerate in the photo), please test the back first. We suggest mild soap and water. Please also be careful as tin scratches easily.

Attractive reproductions of illustrations that once decorated cigar boxes and luggage; fruit and vegetable crates; boxes of chocolates, bottles of wine, beer and spirits; ... are now available for a variety of uses.

The book-package includes one CD-ROM with 229 full-color, high-quality permission-free designs scanned at 300 dpi and saved in TIFF format, perfect for use with all the most popular programs. You'll also get a large-format 48-page book with every image on the CD-ROM printed large and clearly on one side of the page only and numbered for easy reference and immediate cut-and-paste use.

This book and CD set is normally priced at $19.95, but because the cover shows some foxing and there is a scuff on the bottom of the back cover, we could never sell it as new. But, it has NEVER been used in any way.

The picture shows an undamaged book

Hero Arts Card and Stationery Portfolio Kit - Never Opened - Bargain (I think)

$8.99
What a fun and wonderful kit if you're just starting out to make books, portfolios and other journal-type pieces.

With full intention of making this portfolio, I bought this at full retail price about 8 or 9 year ago! Obviously, my intentions were better than my actions as I never even opened it.

I thought it would be great if I had made my own set of note cards and other stationery. Then I could put it in this portfolio and then give one of my friend a tremendous gift.

Well, that didn't happen - but, maybe you can do it.

The kit package measures a full 8-1/2 by ll inches. But, without opening the package, it appears that your final product - a gorgeous portfolio, will measure about 7-1/2 by 5-1/4 inches.

Almost everything is included, but you probably need the basics - such as scissors and glue and maybe a bone folder (but you probably don't need that exactly).

The cover reads:

Card & Stationery Portfolio Kit
Contents: Bookboards, Pre-cut Decorative Cover Paper, Instructions

I was not able to find this item anywhere else to price it today. Although I'm not positive of the price I paid when I purchased it, I'm guessing it was around $15.00. I have another comparable kit that I'm keeping that is marked $17.99.

So, this is a pretty good bargain.

It is a roll of vintage film from Hollywood. As far as we know, there are no images or individual frames on it. But, we didn't unroll the entire reel, so we can't really be sure. So, we're selling it in pieces for your special memory project, altered art or collage.

The film is just about 1-3/8 inch wide and yours will be cut to order. It is clear with a very slight sepia tint. So, it should make a pretty neat overlay. It might also make a great lens for a tiny picture frame charm if you cut it down or punch it.

We sell this on our website for 22¢ per inch. That would be $23.76 for the entire piece...so this is a little bargain.

The image of Anima Sola is striking in expression and passion - perfect for your next charm bracelet or earrings celebrating women!

The Anima Sola evokes a spirit of freedom from oppression. Because the main figure is a woman, the image has become an emblem of woman changing her destiny, much like the goddess charms and pendants that are so popular today.

This flat-backed charm is set in a bezel of white metal plated with antiqued sterling silver plate. An actual photograph is encapsulated in a washable, dry-cleanable, non-yellowing and non-scratch resin - creating a glowing almost 3-D effect. It measures 1-1/8 inch in diameter and the hanging loop at the top adds another 1/8 inch.
Use it as is or stretch it out and use it in its crinkly form. Wrap it around your project, bunch it up it up, just play with it. You might even want to use it as a curly tinsel garland for a feather tree!

SilverCrow offers our Brown Krausbouillion in generous 1/2-ounce packages. Although silver Krausbouillion is the traditional color used in most older European ornaments, we think that the Brown crinkle wire would be great as well - especially on autumn projects.

The original Krausbouillion is made in Germany and Austria. Ours is made by a modernized process that plates copper wire, so it is less expensive. It's quite beautiful and lends old world elegance to any project.
You can find this in another of our listings.

The hands image measures almost 2-1/4 inches high by 3 inches wide

This is a first quality red rubber stamp. It is not mounted and there is no foam or adhesive on the stamp. It is untrimmed so that you may trim it as you like.

If you would prefer a mounted rubber stamp, please convo us. The mounted stamp will not be on sale.

This stamp would cost $4.50 on our website (http://www.SilverCrowCreations.com), but is on sale here on Etsy only! We love this ribbon. Each ribbon measures about 10-1/2 inches long and 5/8 inch wide. The background color is a vibrant blue.

There are typically 11 to 14 images per ribbon with some plain ribbon on either side. These are a unique adornment for your wrist (just tie it) or hair. The saints in the image may vary from the saints on your ribbon

But, our favorite use is to attach to clothing or use in your artwork. or sew it onto a piece of clothing, pillow, etc. These are lovely when framed in charms, too!

The first illustration shows the images. This image is almost TOO close up. Rest assured, this is beautiful ribbon!

The second illustration shows the entire ribbon.

Try our little frame charm to frame each of the images (look in our Jewelry Components section).
Sterling Silver Charm - Native American Indian On Horse

$16.50
This stunning charm is created in the tradition of Native American Indian charms. The vendor who sold us this indicated that it was made by hand by Native Americans. However, we do not have authentication.

The charm features an old style Native American Indian upon a horse with his shield and spear. The spear is pointed downards and the sheild bears a cross. The rider wears a feather headdress.

This is made of sterling silver and is stamped, "Sterling". The style bears great resemblance to the paintings found in ledgers and on deerskin capes from the 1800. But, this is a modern charm.

This is not a typical molded charm made in bulk. It was individually made and polished.

It measures 1-1/6 inch from nose to hind legs and 1 inch high including the loop.

At one time, wampum beads (fashioned from the purplish-cream inside of the shell) were used in trade between the settlers and the natives in North America.

These elegant shells are beautiful as is, giving a special touch to any shell collection. But they also shine as display dishes for pearls and jewelry, smaller shells and beads.

Native American Indian wampum was colored both purple and off-white, but the largest association is with the purple shells. All of our half-shells have some purple and the exterior is left rough, as found in nature.

As far as we know, the quahog shells offered to you by SilverCrow are the bi-product of someone's dinner. The hand-dug clams were eaten, and, rather than waste the shells, we have purchased the most elegant ones. Shells vary from 2-1/2 to 4 inches.

From the USA Atlantic Coast
Vitreous Enamel Mano Poderosa (Powerful Hand of God) Pendant

$4.95
Also known (improperably) as La Mano Ponderosa, this pendant or charm is so very stunning! The real vitreous enamel image represents the Powerful Hand of God, often thought to protect against evil magic. Even the back of the silvery metal bezel is inscribed with religious symbols.

Equally beautiful as jewelry or as an art element in a shrine or assemblage, this unique piece is conservatively priced for such elegant craftsmanship.

This striking pendant measures 7/8 inch wide by 1-1/4 inch long. Made of vitreous enamel, each pendant is assembled by hand, so please allow for some variability.

---------------------------------------
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT LA MANO PODEROSA
---------------------------------------

The upward-pointing hand has been used as a talisman for centuries, dating back to Ancient Rome. It has generally been used as a charm against enchantment because it possesses secret and kabalistic power within its symbols. In modern times, the most common realization of an upward-pointing human hand is La Mano Ponderosa (The Powerful Hand) found in Roman Catholic symbolism.

Holy Cards or Prayer Cards display the stunning image and decals of it are applied to church candles. The magical illustration is quite appropriate for it's meaning: magical protection against evil and black magic. Today's version generally depicts Jesus, as a child, on the thumb, although earlier versions seated him on the middle finger. He is generally accompanied by the Santa Maria, San Jose, Santa Elizabeth and San Joachin. However, some religious artists have depicted other saints among them.

English Translation of the Prayer to The Powerful Hand of God:

O Powerful Hand of God!
I place my Christian soul before you,
and in my despair and anguish,
beseech you to aid me with your almighty power.
At your feet I place the devotion of my sorrowful heart
that I might be delivered from my suffering.
May the loving kindness of your power help me
and give me strength and wisdom to live in peace and happiness.
(Here you would present your petitions).
Amen.

Hands have been protective symbols throughout the centuries - both religious and secular - today's advertising depicts nurturing hands and songs have long represented hands as protective - He's got the whole world in his hands....

The African-American hoodoo symbol (the Helping Hand) is an open hand in a horizontal position. The Judaic and Arabic hamsa points downward. Milagro hands generally hang downward. The evil eye of the Middle East, North Africa and Asia is often placed in the midst of a downward pointing hand to ward off bad fortune. The Italian cornuta Related hands, used to guard against the evil eye in Italy, are the downward-pointing mano cornuta (pointing hand) and mano fico (fisted hand).
