I also thought they were very cool and figured I would give it a try. So I somehow managed to convince my five year old to sit still for a moment as I took aim at his little eye. I have always thought he had an interesting "puddle" near his pupil.

The Toilet Fine Photographic Art

The house was without light. The power was out. We lit candles to ward off the darkness. The morning brought light and a scene to remember as a red candle had been left burning in the bathroom, spilling crimson wax over the white porcelain toilet.

"The Toilet" is printed on 16x20" Fuji Archival Matte Photographic Paper then mounted to a section of modified sub-floor, framed in melted wax and then covered in an acrylic top coat. A saw tooth hanger is attached to the back. The piece measures 22x20".

Hidden away in Point Defiance Park are the Japanese Gardens, full of Asian foliage and architecture. I took this picture on a very sunny day in July while waiting for a client to arrive. The photograph is taken through an infrared filter.

The picture of this piece does not do it justice. In person, the nuances of the way the frame plays on the colors of the photograph are striking.

My grandmother was a very eclectic woman and if she saw that I just called her grandmother would probably smack me in the back of the head. She always thought grandmother, or grandma, sounded old and she was never a lady I would have considered old, even at seventy.

Anyway, she travelled and bought interesting things everywhere she went. One of them was this statue or unknown origin and by the time I thought of to ask it was too late.

I took this photograph as I was archiving her life on film.
