Steampunk Necklace
This piece of neck jewelry is made with metal chains of antiqued brass link, gold tone curb/box chain, and textured triple link joined by a 1" brass ring.
A 2" diameter clock gear holds an ornate black clock hand and is centered with a small brass filigree. A vintage brass watchcase with glass face holds an old photo of a man. A vintage key and one faceted lead glass chandelier crystal dangle from the watch case. Black fringe attached to fabric bows tied around the neck chains add a bit of feminine sweetness. The bows are black and silver embroidered kimono style fabric and shimmery bronze fine tulle netting.

As velvet darkness swirls about me, I set my tetchy hand to the seduction of the dreaming pages. I scribble, catching for the briefest moments, fugitive visions that tease before scattering into the ebon corners of the room. I scratch, spattering violet ink in a barely intelligible lexicon. The letters sprawl, careening wildly across the creamy pages. Night after night I write, yet my dream presentiments remain illusory - spectral, despite my attempt to depose them into quiet acquiescence.

The outer covers of this 3.5 x 6 inch booklet are black paint sealed, perforated steel. Small gears, cogs, bolts and a vintage metal claw grasping a clear, pale green glass orb hold tight across the face of the book, protecting your dossier of dreams.

A functional wingnut holds the closing chain on a brass bolt and brass rings bind the book. The inner front and back leaves are pale lavender open wave design oriental papers. Individually hand torn deckle edges add interest to the cream white writing papers. The writing papers have one toothy side and one smooth sized side and are a mulberry composition paper. 57 pages.

This is a Fatal Attraction version of a 'Little Black Book'.

Eudora sat facing the window, absently gazing out, not seeing the long shadows of the late summer day. Her face had that intent, far away expression she always wore when wrapped in thought around the legacy of 'The Necklace'.

Her day was coming. Too quickly approaching now that Maman had retired from her active public life of service. Eudora would be the next Comtesse de Rilvane, inheritor of the weighty responsibility that came with the transference of the title and 'the necklace'.

She would soon wear the Wish Necklace with the locket that held all the secrets of the winged ones. The steam powered winged flyers mapped out the world and brought mysterious, arcane treasures back to the deep vaults and laboratories beneath the castle.

The Wish Necklace not only protected the flyers, but granted one heart-held wish for each flyer during their lifetime. It would be up to Eudora, to have the wisdom to know when those wishes were to be dispensed.

The Steampunk Wish Necklace
Three chain styles make up this necklace; brass ball chain, gold tone curb, brass link, and silver tone curb chain. One small vintage metal key swings freely from a short length of chain near fabric bows tie wrapped around the chains. the fabric bows are vintage cream color netting, black point de sprit lace and bronze sheer. Little wish treasures dangle from a silverplate metal grill. Two metal wings, one functional brass locket with watch parts and one pendant created from a small wooden block and original digital artwork. the pendant bail is delicate brass filigree and the artwork is clear sealed to protect it.

In the center is a steel star wheel with a vintage Elgin watch work resting on it's surface. 7mm olive green glass beads capped with dainty brass filigree nestle against the jet black of a 15mm x 15mm opaque briolette. 4mm black crystals dangle loosely at the bottom edge of the center filigree. A pierce design brass dangle, 1" long holds an opalescent crystal and a dangle of delicate brass chains. Overall length of the pendant is 5 3/4". Mina moves into the room, her veils floating about her dancing body. Her gossamer attire only hints at the incredible sensuality and power of her being. As her body spins, pulsating to the heady sound of drums and horn, I realize this supple body belongs to a woman above the age of forty. She is dancing the dance of life as only a mature woman can.....

Her veils part. I glimpse one jewel about her neck. It's pink flash is held delicately by the intricate workings of a filigree box, a single lusterous pearl sways with the rising tempo of the dance. The intensity of the moment takes my breath away.

I found myself abjectly in her thrall, tremors exploding from my quaking heart. A madness of complete abandon overwhelms my reason, igniting the fever of an icey arrow that travels every part of my body.

The realization of my ravagement comes just as my eyes take in the flare of a sparkling jewel between the curve of her breasts. There, heaving with the movement of her breath is a tiny bejeweled bottle filled with a deep amber liquid. The heat of the jewel mesmerizes me, as she reaches out enfolding me in the intoxication of her scent and in the embrace of her arms.

This small, yet powerful perfume bottle measures 1.24 x 1.75 inches and hold 2 drams of precious liquid. Delicate brass filigree surrounds the bottle cap and holds a shimmering glass jewel - 8mm x 15mm. The jewel is a fiery orange red with a bronze green iridization on the surface. A vintage glass jewel centers as the focal point of this necklace. 14mm x 20mm, the jewel surface is iridised bronze green/blue with undertones of golden pink peach. As with any vintage jewel, it shows some age due to it's long life. Still a beautiful stone, though. Traveled and interesting just like any beauty over a certain age.

The overall pendant size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches with an 18 inch long brass neck chain and brass lobster claw and ring closure. Layers of brass filigree add delicacy to the pendant.

Four faceted rock crystal beads and one pale lavender clear fluorite bead are threaded through the chain and dangle above the brass dragonfly.
