King of Persia - Chainmaille Bracelet

Stunning on either a man or a woman, this bracelet is a combination of C&T Designs' brass and square copper rings woven in a Half Persian 4-in-1 chainmalle pattern. The shine on this is unbelievable! The square rings look diamond cut. The bracelet is about 1/2" in width, and can be sized to fit you (currently around 7 1/2"). It clasps with a copper lobster clasp.

There is some anecdotal evidence that copper might be good for arthritis. I make no claims about this, but many of my customers swear by it. It couldn't hurt, could it?

This bracelet will tarnish, but you can send it back to us for a little polish and it should be good as new. Or, if you prefer the antique look, let it tarnish. I recommend you keep it in the plastic baggie it comes with whenever you're not wearing it, and I will include an anti-tarnish strip with it.

This ear cuff is made from coated (nontarnish) copper wire with crystals and mauve Swarovski pearls (the bottom pearl isn't Swarovski). The lower wire-wrapped pearl dangles near your ear lobe.

Ear cuffs are great for people who can't wear pierced earrings and really hate the feeling of clip ons. They wear much more comfortably. They're also great for elves, fairies, renfair addicts, reenactors and anyone who likes a little fantasy in their life.

Sirin - Chainmaille Choker

In Russian fairy tale, Sirin is the bird of joy in human form that entrances people with its singing. Only a happy or lucky person can hear her song. I thought it a fitting name for this choker.

It's a thick choker and would look great on someone with a long neck. Originally, I had just a blue diamond in the center, but the beads are such a vibrant cobalt blue that they almost matched my purple rings better, so the inlay arose out of my tinkering with the blue and purple. Most of the choker is aluminum (the colored parts anodized), although I have used stainless steel to affix the brilliant Czech glass dagger beads. I believe the charm, a Celtic cross with a tiny heart in the center, is pewter. It hangs from a Swarovski crystal.

At present this measures 12 1/2 inches. I am happy to make it bigger, or smaller, or adjustable.

I have done several of this type of choker now in many colors and I'd be really excited to work with you to customize one just the way you want it. We can make it any of the following colors: red, orange, yellow, bright pink, green, blue, turquoise, violet, dark purple, brown, matte gold, shiny silver, or black. There are many things that can be said about my favorite metal, niobium. Pictures don't really do the iridescent, metallic colors. Also, they anodize in a subtle variety of hues, which means you can create things like this bracelet... with a gentle gradient across most of the spectrum. It's also, by the way, the absolute best metal for anyone with metal sensitivities.

In this delicate bracelet fine, 20 gauge stainless steel rings are woven with anodized niobium in the "Dragon Tail" chainmaille weave (a variant of Half Persian). I plan on keeping one of these for myself :) I also plan on making one with sterling and niobium, which you will be able to see at my second store, http://SecondRenaissance.etsy.com. Romanza - Chainmaille Choker

I started this at a craft show in November! At first I made a completely different band for it but I fell in love with this complex, dense weave, called elfweave (or elfsheet if it's this wide). So I ordered a whole mess of little 20-gauge steel rings and worked on it now and again; I can't even estimate how many hours I put into it. Three months later, I finally finished. I estimate this baby has about 1200 rings in it. You can barely see light through the weave.

I've had this pretty rose-etched vintage lucite cameo for years. It looks good with skin behind it and even better with dark fabric (white makes the rose disappear). I've wrapped it in Half Persian aluminum maille and put it on this steel-woven choker, draped it in chains and pink iridescent dagger beads, and... well, I'm pretty happy with the result. It closes with a slide-lock tube clasp and measures 17 inches (so might be a little longer than a choker on some people). If you'd like it shorter I can probably accommodate.

I plan to do more of these in a variety of styles, with some cameos and some semiprecious cabochons, with different weaves to accent them, so keep an eye out!

This necklace is my new favorite weave, Jens Pind Linkage. I love the braided look of it. I love these gunmetal enameled copper links, too... so antique looking. You can't see it that well in the pictures but at the back there is a finer brass chain. The focal is antiqued brass filigree bead flanked by lavender glass pearls capped with copper bead caps. Subtle, understated, elegant.

Electric Rainbow - Niobium Chainmaille Earrings

Pictures really don't do anodized niobium justice, usually. I think "electric" is the best word to describe the colors. They are vibrant, bright metallic.

Not only are the rings in these delicate European 4-in-1 diamonds niobium, but the wires are anodized in C&T Designs' signature rainbow. The effect is, well, electric. They dangle, but they're delicate at the same time. I promise they'll get noticed.

Not only is niobium stunning, it's also far and away the best metal for anyone with metal or nickel sensitivities. I can usually wear most earrings, but when I started wearing niobium I found them to be more comfortable and less irritating than anything else I'd ever worn. If you have any sensitivity at all, you owe it to yourself to try it.

Still Waters - Wire Wrapped Hematite Stone

I've had this stone sitting on my desk for about three months, and in my little collection of rocks much longer than that. I was never sure what to do with it. The other day I picked it up, grabbed some wire out of my collection (it's a deep red/burgundy color craft wire) and just played with it. This is the result. I love the way the hematite reflects the wire where it isn't quite touching it.

Overall the pendant is 2 inches from top of bail to bottom edge. It comes with a ribbon necklace to hang it on but I can certainly add a sterling (or other) chain if you would prefer. I may hunt for a nice gunmetal chain to hang it on. Alternatively, we can talk about me hand crafting a chainmaille chain specifically for this pendant. I'm always open to custom requests.

I love the transparency of this agate pendant, but the shape sort of confounded me for a while until I started playing around with freeform wrapping. I love the way the black and off white enameled wire complements it and the wire swirls are in counterpoint to the natural swirls in the stone. This pendant is simple and classy. It measures almost 2 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom.

It comes with a black enameled copper chain, or a ribbon, your choice. Or, if you prefer, I can put it on a silver chain. The black chain looks really nice, though.

Dervish -- Copper and Turquoise Hand Flower

The bracelet band on "Dervish" is a Japanese 12-1 chainmaille weave, and the copper links contrast so nicely with the tiny turquoise cubes. It links to a ring made in European 4-1, also with a cube turquoise bead. This would make a great addition to a Renaissance or belly dance costume, but it'd draw attention anywhere you wore it. It closes with a toggle clasp and I would be happy to custom size this for whoever bought it (both ring and wrist size - as you can see the ring is a bit small for me).

I can make these with a different color or type of bead, or in sterling or brilliant anodized niobium colors.

This mask is made from ribbon-wrapped armature wire with copper wire eye holes and fine brass wire strung with a variety of beads and charms. I can customize the color of the ribbon (pretty much any color) and the brass wire (available: dark blue, dark green, red, copper, brass, lime green, black, fuschia; I may be able to get other colors, ask!). You can either choose very specific beads from an Etsy seller or Fire Mountain Gems, or give me a color scheme and theme and I can whip something spectacular up for you. This can also be made as pictured with ribbon to tie it on your head, or on a stick that would be either wrapped with ribbon or decoratively painted, your choice (be kind on the "decoratively," I'm not a Picasso).

I made this for a Renaissance Faire masked ball, and loved wearing it because I didn't have the usual limited mask vision, and it was much cooler to wear; late spring and summer Faires in Tennessee are a killer in four layers of costume clothing!

This isn't my usual stretchy cuff. It's made of neoprene (still nonlatex) rings rather than EPDM, and they're thicker and stiffer, making it more of a cuff than a "stretchy." Still, I think the white dogwood blossoms against the black neoprene is quite dramatic and the more it hangs around the more I like it.

I lifted its name from Mozart's quartet piece, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, or A Little Night Music. I think the delicate moonflowers make it a fitting name.

The qualinesti (if I remember right) were Dragonlance's "high" elves... the snobby ones. While my "Sylvanesti" ear cuff conjures images of forest elves (copper does, for some reason) for me, this one makes me think of snobs living in cities that only evoke the trees.

I think the jet and silver filigree beads, and its dangle of Swarovski crystal with a black agate briolette, would be the height of fashion in such a place. But you can wear it to the Renfaire, tonight's gaming session, or just about anywhere.

NOTE: I'm not certain that the silvertone craft wire I used in this is nickel free, so if you're sensitive, caveat emptor. Since it doesn't go through the ear it wouldn't bother most people, but some people with very strong sensitivities may have a problem.

Twist - Colorful Chainmaille Earrings

Enameled copper has a brilliant shine, especially when silver plated and then enameled. These dangly earrings (a little over an inch) are made with enameled copper rings woven in a spiral chainmaille pattern and then twisted together. Since the spiral twists one way and they twist around each other the opposite direction, it would definitely help to have four hands to make these! They're fastened at the bottom with with another ring and then I find the perfect bead to dangle from it (or sometimes just leave them with a larger ring at the bottom).

Inner Fire - Hematite Circles and Czech Glass

I'm afraid the pictures don't do justice to the Czech glass beads in these. They have one side painted sort of reflective that matches the hematite, but there must be some sort of finish under that, because oranges and yellows shine through the clear side like fire. They really sparkle. I've added a Czech glass dangle bead for a little extra movement. I can also make these with different Czech beads (or Swarovski) if you have color preferences.

The wires on these are surgical steel but I can also add niobium wires for anyone with any degree of metal sensitivity, for an additional $3.
