King of Persia - Chainmaille Bracelet

$20.00
Stunning on either a man or a woman, this bracelet is a combination of C&T Designs' brass and square copper rings woven in a Half Persian 4-in-1 chainmalle pattern. The shine on this is unbelievable! The square rings look diamond cut. The bracelet is about 1/2" in width, and can be sized to fit you (currently around 7 1/2"). It clasps with a copper lobster clasp.

There is some anecdotal evidence that copper might be good for arthritis. I make no claims about this, but many of my customers swear by it. It couldn't hurt, could it?

This bracelet will tarnish, but you can send it back to us for a little polish and it should be good as new. Or, if you prefer the antique look, let it tarnish. I recommend you keep it in the plastic baggie it comes with whenever you're not wearing it, and I will include an anti-tarnish strip with it.

I adore this weave and would be happy to make it for you in other metals, including precious metals in round or square wire, or fun anodized aluminum colors, or a more delicate ring for a narrower bracelet. Check my website, www.youvegotmaille.net for custom options.

Please inquire for international shipping. Thanks for looking!

"
If I'd known I was going to live so long, I'd have taken better care of myself." ~Leon Eldred

Twilight - Copper pearls and crystal ear cuff

The lower wire-wrapped pearl dangles near your ear lobe.

Ear cuffs are great for people who can't wear pierced earrings and really hate the feeling of clip ons. They wear much more comfortably. They're also great for elves, fairies, renfair addicts, reenactors and anyone who likes a little fantasy in their life.

Sirin - Chainmaille Choker

$45.00
In Russian fairy tale, Sirin is the bird of joy in human form that entrances people with its singing. Only a happy or lucky person can hear her song. I thought it a fitting name for this choker.

It's a thick choker and would look great on someone with a long neck. Originally, I had just a blue diamond in the center, but the beads are such a vibrant cobalt blue that they almost matched my purple rings better, so the inlay arose out of my tinkering with the blue and purple. Most of the choker is aluminum (the colored parts anodized), although I have used stainless steel to affix the brilliant Czech glass dagger beads. I believe the charm, a Celtic cross with a tiny heart in the center, is pewter. It hangs from a Swarovski crystal.

At present this measures 12 1/2 inches. I am happy to make it bigger, or smaller, or adjustable.

I have done several of this type of choker now in many colors and I'd be really excited to work with you to customize one just the way you want it. We can make it any of the following colors: red, orange, yellow, bright pink, green, blue, turquoise, violet, dark purple, brown, matte gold, shiny silver, or black. I can then add beads, dagger beads or whatever you like, and finish it off with the perfect charm, or a decorative crystal. My website, http://www.youvegotmaille.net has custom options, or you can come up with the perfect design all your own.

"God loved the birds and invented trees. Man loved the birds and invented cages." ~Jacques Deval

Gradient - Rainbow Chainmaille Bracelet

Pictures don't really do the iridescent, metallic colors. Also, they anodize in a subtle variety of hues, which means you can create things like this bracelet... with a gentle gradient across most of the spectrum. It's also, by the way, the absolute best metal for anyone with metal sensitivities.

In this delicate bracelet fine, 20 gauge stainless steel rings are woven with anodized niobium in the "Dragon Tail" chainmaille weave (a variant of Half Persian). I plan on keeping one of these for myself :) I also plan on making one with sterling and niobium, which you will be able to see at my second store, http://SecondRenaissance.etsy.com. I can also make them in just a few colors, or only one. Or pretty much anything, just ask!

Thanks for looking! Please inquire for international shipping.

"Some colors exist in dreams that are not present in the waking spectrum." ~The Quote Garden

Romanza - Chainmaille Choker

$130.00
I started this at a craft show in November! At first I made a completely different band for it but I fell in love with this complex, dense weave, called elfweave (or elfsheet if it's this wide). So I ordered a whole mess of little 20-gauge steel rings and worked on it now and again; I can't even estimate how many hours I put into it. Three months later, I finally finished. I estimate this baby has about 1200 rings in it. You can barely see light through the weave.

I've had this pretty rose-etched vintage lucite cameo for years. It looks good with skin behind it and even better with dark fabric (white makes the rose disappear). I've wrapped it in Half Persian aluminum maille and put it on this steel-woven choker, draped it in chains and pink iridescent dagger beads, and... well, I'm pretty happy with the result. It closes with a slide-lock tube clasp and measures 17 inches (so might be a little longer than a choker on some people). If you'd like it shorter I can probably accommodate.

I plan to do more of these in a variety of styles, with some cameos and some semiprecious cabochons, with different weaves to accent them, so keep an eye out!

"There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved. It is God's finger on man's shoulder." ~Charles Morgan

I love the braided look of it. I love these gunmetal enameled copper links, too... so antique looking. You can't see it that well in the pictures but at the back there is a finer brass chain. The focal is antiqued brass filigree bead flanked by lavender glass pearls capped with copper bead caps. Subtle, understated, elegant.

Please inquire for international shipping.
Electric Rainbow - Niobium Chainmaille Earrings

$18.00
Pictures really don't do anodized niobium justice, usually. I think "electric" is the best word to describe the colors. They are vibrant, bright metallic.

Not only are the rings in these delicate European 4-in-1 diamonds niobium, but the wires are anodized in C&T Designs' signature rainbow. The effect is, well, electric. They dangle, but they're delicate at the same time. I promise they'll get noticed.

Not only is niobium stunning, it's also far and away the best metal for anyone with metal or nickel sensitivities. I can usually wear most earrings, but when I started wearing niobium I found them to be more comfortable and less irritating than anything else I'd ever worn. If you have any sensitivity at all, you owe it to yourself to try it.

Please inquire for international shipping, and thanks for looking!

"May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you."
~Irish Blessing

Still Waters - Wire Wrapped Hematite Stone

$12.00
I've had this stone sitting on my desk for about three months, and in my little collection of rocks much longer than that. I was never sure what to do with it. The other day I picked it up, grabbed some wire out of my collection (it's a deep red/burgundy color craft wire) and just played with it. This is the result. I love the way the hematite reflects the wire where it isn't quite touching it.

Overall the pendant is 2 inches from top of bail to bottom edge. It comes with a ribbon necklace to hang it on but I can certainly add a sterling (or other) chain if you would prefer. I may hunt for a nice gunmetal chain to hang it on. Alternatively, we can talk about me hand crafting a chainmaille chain specifically for this pendant. I'm always open to custom requests.

Inquire for international shipping; I don't have it listed but I'm willing to send it to wherever you are. Thanks for looking!

This is a long-hanging necklace, perfect with a sweater when you want something different with just a bit of sparkle.

"If a man walks in the woods for love of them half of each day, he is in danger of being regarded as a loafer. I love the way the black and off white enameled wire complements it and the wire swirls are in counterpoint to the natural swirls in the stone. This pendant is simple and classy. It measures almost 2 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom.

It comes with a black enameled copper chain, or a ribbon, your choice. It links to a ring made in European 4-1, also with a cube turquoise bead. This would make a great addition to a Renaissance or belly dance costume, but it'd draw attention anywhere you wore it. It closes with a toggle clasp and I would be happy to custom size this for whoever bought it (both ring and wrist size - as you can see the ring is a bit small for me).

I can make these with a different color or type of bead, or in sterling or brilliant anodized niobium colors.

Custom requests always considered, thanks for looking!

This listing is for a custom-made item similar to it using ribbon, wire and beads in colors/themes requested by you.

This mask is made from ribbon-wrapped armature wire with copper wire eye holes and fine brass wire strung with a variety of beads and charms. I can customize the color of the ribbon (pretty much any color) and the brass wire (available: dark blue, dark green, red, copper, brass, lime green, black, fuschia; I may be able to get other colors, ask!). You can either choose very specific beads from an Etsy seller or Fire Mountain Gems, or give me a color scheme and theme and I can whip something spectacular up for you. This can also be made as pictured with ribbon to tie it on your head, or on a stick that would be either wrapped with ribbon or decoratively painted, your choice (be kind on the "decoratively," I'm not a Picasso).

I made this for a Renaissance Faire masked ball, and loved wearing it because I didn't have the usual limited mask vision, and it was much cooler to wear; late spring and summer Faires in Tennessee are a killer in four layers of costume clothing!

Please message me with your ideas for making this customized for you and I will happily let you know if I can do it. Thanks for looking!

Nachtmusik - Neoprene Woven Maille with Acrylic Flowers

It's made of neoprene (still nonlatex) rings rather than EPDM, and they're thicker and stiffer, making it more of a cuff than a "stretchy." Still, I think the white dogwood blossoms against the black neoprene is quite dramatic and the more it hangs around the more I like it.

I lifted its name from Mozart's quartet piece, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, or A Little Night Music. I think the delicate moonflowers make it a fitting name.

I can easily customize this bracelet for you. The acrylic flowers are available from my supplier, Artbeads, in a wide variety of types of flowers and colors. Head over to http://www.artbeads.com and search "acrylic flower" and choose one, and then you can pick neoprene colors (available: brick red, orange, rust, yellow, light green, dark green, ivory, white, turquoise, light blue, bright blue, purple, and black. see www.bluebuddhaboutique.com/supplies/anodized/rubber/rubberringprices.php for pictures of the neoprene rings). I'll make your bracelet white and your choice of the above, with matching or complementary anodized aluminum. Whatever you choose will most likely need to be ordered, so give me a couple of weeks to complete it.

Please inquire for international shipping, and thanks for looking!

"Night, the beloved. Night, when words fade and things come alive. When the destructive analysis of day is done, and all that is truly important becomes whole and sound again. While my "Sylvanesti" ear cuff conjures images of forest elves (copper does, for some reason) for me, this one makes me think of snobs living in cities that only evoke the trees.

I think the jet and silver filigree beads, and its dangle of Swarovski crystal with a black agate briolette, would be the height of fashion in such a place. But you can wear it to the Renfaire, tonight's gaming session, or just about anywhere.

NOTE: I'm not certain that the silvertone craft wire I used in this is nickel free, so if you're sensitive, caveat emptor. Since it doesn't go through the ear it wouldn't bother most people, but some people with very strong sensitivities may have a problem.

Twist - Colorful Chainmaille Earrings

$15.00
Enameled copper has a brilliant shine, especially when silver plated and then enameled. These dangly earrings (a little over an inch) are made with enameled copper rings woven in a spiral chainmaille pattern and then twisted together. Since the spiral twists one way and they twist around each other the opposite direction, it would definitely help to have four hands to make these! They're fastened at the bottom with with another ring and then I find the perfect bead to dangle from it (or sometimes just leave them with a larger ring at the bottom).

The rings I make these from are available in 27 brilliant, jewel-toned colors. Take a look at the colors:
http://www.bluebuddhaboutique.com/supplies/anodized/enameledcopper/ecprices.php
and then choose your two, and I'll make a custom pair just for you to match that special outfit, or just in your favorite colors. These rings will not tarnish and unless you're really rough with them they'll maintain their bright color for years.

Choose your attachment: surgical steel french hook wires, surgical steel posts, or for an extra $2, hypoallergenic niobium ear wires (which can be anodized, sometimes to match depending on your color choice, and also come in rainbow).

Have I presented too many choices? Of course, you're more than welcome to choose any of the pairs pictured. A few of them are made with anodized aluminum rather than enameled copper, but the EC is much brighter and shinier (the peacock/ice blue pair is EC with Swarovski crystals).

Please inquire for international shipping. Thanks for looking!

"You've got a lot of choices. If getting out of bed in the morning is a chore and you're not smiling on a regular basis, try another choice." ~Steven D. Woodhull

They have one side painted sort of reflective that matches the hematite, but there must be some sort of finish under that, because oranges and yellows shine through the clear side like fire. They really sparkle. I've added a Czech glass dangle bead for a little extra movement. I can also make these with different Czech beads (or Swarovski) if you have color preferences.

The wires on these are surgical steel but I can also add niobium wires for anyone with any degree of metal sensitivity, for an additional $3.

Please inquire for international shipping. This is a fine (20g wire) Full Persian weave, which means it would look great on a woman, or on a man who doesn't like his bracelets too bulky. It closes with a lobster clasp and a larger sized ring. This bracelet ought to stand up to pretty much anything you can throw at it, won't tarnish, and won't turn your arm funny colors. Understated class.

And it's fun to play with, like most chainmaille. If you'd like, I can make a matching set of these, his and hers, one thicker and one finer. I can also do them in different metals and colors.
King of Persia - Chainmaille Bronze Bracelet

$20.00
There is a substantial weight to copper and its alloys that is satisfying to me somehow. This bronze Half-Persian chainmaille bracelet doesn't disappoint. Not only that, but the weave is irresistible to play with; it curls when you squeeze it in the right places. Boring meeting? Well, there you go, you've got something to play with instead of your pen. This size weave (18 gauge) looks fantastic on men or women, although I can certainly make these in a more delicate ring. Or bigger, if you like.

Like copper, bronze can turn some people's skin odd colors (it's an individual thing based on your personal chemistry), but with these highly polished rings from C&T Designs I haven't so far had a problem. It also will tarnish, but if you keep it in the bag with the nontarnish strip (provided) when you're not wearing it, it should stay shiny for a long time - and when it does tarnish, you can send it back to me and I will shine it back to its original brilliance at no charge. If you're unhappy or it turns out you and bronze don't mix, you can return or exchange it for something comparable.

As always, I love doing custom orders, and this weave looks gorgeous in brass, bronze, steel, copper, sterling silver, gold filled, brilliant anodized niobium or any combination of 2 of those. Or, pick 2 anodized aluminum colors and I'll whip one up for you (may need to order rings depending on your color/metal choices - convo for a time estimate).

$40.00
This has been marked down 33%!

"Rhiannon" can go from the Renaissance Faire to evening elegance. The choker is woven from black anodized aluminum links in a European Four-in-One pattern -- the same pattern that protected Renaissance knights in ages past. The pendant in the center is faux marcasite, and on either side are jet Czech glass beads and pewter Celtic knotwork beads connecting fine, delicate sterling silver chains. I have not pictured the clasp, but it is a lobster clasp and chain that make it completely adjustable, with a bead configuration at the end that match the jet and knotwork configuration in front.

We are always open to custom orders, so if you see something you'd like a little different, please don't hesitate to inquire. Thanks for looking!

It's made of blue anodized aluminum so it's lightweight despite being chunky. It's "elf weave" chainmaille pattern and fixes with a silver plated lobster clasp. The weave itself is incredibly fun to fidget and play with and has a different look squeezed together than it does spread out.

This is also available in silver (aluminum), copper, or anodized red, orange, gold, green, pink, blue, turquoise, violet, or dark purple. Please inquire for custom requests.

International shipping available.

Auburn - Solid Copper Chainmaille Bracelet

$28.00
This is solid, uncoated copper with tiny silver filigree beads attached on each side. It's a substantial bracelet (I'll try to get a picture of it on), thick and heavy. I have had several customers buy similar bracelets for arthritis; I make no claims about the benefits of this but I have some customers who say it helps. If you do purchase a copper bracelet for arthritis be sure that it is solid, uncoated copper. Such a bracelet WILL tarnish (it's said that that means it's doing its job). All tarnishable items come with a lifetime care package. For the cost of postage you can send it back to me and I'll shine it up like new. Of course, some people love that aged, antique copper look.

This weave is called Beez 2 Butterflies. If you really like the weave but would like it in smaller (more delicate) rings, or in another material, I would love to make one for you. I can do these in two bright anodized aluminum colors, or I can make them stretchy so they don't need a clasp. I can also do it in glimmering anodized niobium and/or sterling silver. See my web site, http://www.youvegotmaille.com for custom options.

Please inquire for for international shipping. Thanks for looking!

"Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,—
While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day,
And touch the stubble plains with rosy hue; :

-- John Keats

They are small, about 1 inch not including the post, although if you like big earrings I can certainly make you a pair. This particular pair is made out of red jeweler's brass, which has the shine of gold without the price. The posts are surgical steel but by request I can also get hypoallergenic titanium posts for an extra charge.

By custom order I would also be happy to do these in sterling silver, copper, gold filled, anodized colored niobium (in mauve, bronze, yellow, peach, violet, indigo, deep blue, deep purple, ice blue, sea green or teal) or any combination of the above (2 color ideas would be a diamond in the center, or perhaps a striped pattern). Convo with your request for details.

Please inquire for international shipping. Thanks for looking!

It's three-dimensional without being bulky. And it's just a lot of fun to play with. If you've read any of my other listings you already know this, but chainmaille is just the best thing to wear for fidgety people who need to be doing something with their hands all the time. My husband can often be spotted looking over my workbench (which is near his desk) to see if there's anything fun to play with while he's doing things at his computer.

This can be made in slightly thicker rings which really makes a nice, manly bracelet. This style, with 20 gauge wire, works really well for either a guy or a girl. Even cooler, it's somewhat reversible - you can have a silver (shiny anodized aluminum) bracelet with green trim or a green bracelet with silver trim.

Like it, but green's not your color? Please feel free to inquire for custom orders, I'd be happy to make you one in the thicker style, or you can choose:
aluminum in a combination of any of the following colors: red, pink, orange, yellow, matte gold, green, turquoise, blue, deep purple, vibrant violet, brown/bronze, black, shiny silver
Or, if aluminum's not your thing, I can also make it in stainless steel, brass, bronze, sterling silver, gold filled or brilliantly colored anodized niobium (at a price appropriate to the metal, but ask), or any combination of 2 of those.

Please inquire for international shipping, it's usually not much more. In two colors, it really sparkles. It's nice and flat, not bulky, looks great on a man or a woman, and is incredibly fun to play with (I always recommend chainmaille for fidgety people!).

This time I've woven Half Persian in a more delicate ring, 20 gauge, in black and silver anodized aluminum. This dresses up or down beautifully. The way the rings interconnect reminded me of yin and yang, and so it was named.

Of course, I am always thrilled to consider custom requests, so if you like the look but would prefer other metals or colors, just contact me. This can be done in any anodized aluminum colors (red, orange, yellow, pink, green, turquoise, blue, purple, violet, brown, matte gold, black, silver), as well as sterling silver, gold filled, brass, copper, or brilliant niobium colors, and I can make it thicker or thinner to your preference.

Thanks for looking. Please inquire for international shipping.

"Only after [the One] is acted upon will it begin to penetrate [through yin and yang]. I love the way the links dovetail on each side, and I think the effect is really offset by these square wire rings. I like thin, delicate bracelets, and this one is. I decided I need to keep one of these for myself.

There are many claims as to copper's health benefits, especially as related to arthritis. I make no claims on this, but I have had several customers who swear by it. Copper does sometimes turn your skin colors (it's an individual thing based on your personal chemistry), but with these highly polished rings and wire I have never had a problem an so far have not run into it. It also will tarnish, but if you keep it in the bag with the nontarnish strip that I will provide, it should stay shiny for a long time - and when it does tarnish, you can send it back to me and I will shine it back to its original brilliance at no charge.

If you prefer, this bracelet is available in gold filled or sterling silver in the square rings, or nearly any metal you choose in round (I'd probably have to order the rings).

"Each day comes bearing its own gifts. Untie the ribbons." ~Ruth Ann Schabacker

Magnablocks -- Byzantine Chainmaille Bracelet

$8.00
This bracelet is made of gunmetal tone links (I am not sure the actual metal, it's been a while since I bought them) woven in a Byzantine pattern, linked with hemalyke magnetic cubes attached with black-coated wire. The clasp is a simple hook and eye.

I am happy to take custom requests, so if you see an item that you like but would prefer in a different color or slightly different style, please send me a Conversation.

I can't guarantee that this item does not contain nickel, so people who are sensitive to nickel shouldn't purchase. Also, I am told people who wear pacemakers should not wear magnetic jewelry.

Thanks very much for looking.

Forget Me Not - Custom Stretchy Chainmaille Bracelet

$13.00
I really like this chainmaille pattern, called Beez 2 Butterflies. The rubber rings mean it needs no clasp but just stretches over your wrist, and they make it quite stretchy so it should fit almost any sized wrist, but if you have a particularly large or particularly small wrist, you might want to send me the measurement so I can make sure.

This listing is for the above bracelet in custom colors. You can have the same layout as this one, or alternate blocks of matching color. Color options include:
Aluminum (the brighter rings above): red, orange, pink, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, violet, purple, matte gold, shiny silver, brown, black.
Rubber: black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple

If you have a deadline for your creation, please message me first to make sure I have your colors in stock (I usually keep most colors but do occasionally run out).

"If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom." ~Audra Foveo

Steel Magnolias - Steel and Brass Chainmaille Flowers

$13.00
These are fine, lacy, delicate, shiny, but don't be fooled... they're strong steel. Sound like any wonderful women you know?

They're made in a circled parallel chainmaille weave out of 20g stainless steel and brass and the flowers themselves are under an inch in diameter. The wires match and are a decorative, elegant curved shape. They are made of hypoallergenic niobium (if you have any nickel or earring sensitivities at all and you haven't tried niobium, I highly recommend you do ... they're the MOST comfortable wires out there).

If you like this design but you'd prefer to see it in colors, or in a precious metal, or any other metal I can certainly make a pair for you. Options include sterling silver, gold filled, shiny aluminum, anodized (colored) aluminum, glimmering anodized niobium (they are QUITE striking in sterling and a niobium color). I can also make them smaller or larger, or with posts instead of wires. See my website for custom options: http://www.youvegotmaille.net

Please inquire for international shipping. Thanks for looking!

"The flower offered of itself
And eloquently spoke
Of Gods
In languages of rainbows
Perfumes
And secret silence..."
~Phillip Pulfrey
