I used a dark lamp work bead to make this charm. The bead is a dark red, but so dark you only see it when the light hits it right! It has a few gold lines traced through it. I mounted this bead on a hand crafted spiral made out of gold colored wire. The mini-lanyard makes it easy to attach to anything you want!

My crystal flower necklace was inspired by the Etsy Bead Weavers challenge to create an exotic flower. I went with something that more symbolic rather than realistic, but I like how it turned out! This piece is made almost entirely from crystal colored beads in two different sizes. The center of the flower is a light purple bead with crackling through it, and the two smaller flowers are made with light purple delica beads. This necklace is approximately 17 inches long.

This subtle necklace is handwoven in a style known as "heirloom lace," and that's what it looks like! Beaded lace :) I love this style of necklace and have several pieces that I've made for myself in various colors. This particular necklace is made using these fun seed beads that I found one day that are white with tiny blue and red stripes on them. This lovely hemp bracelet is done in one sold color, a light purple. It does have 5 beads in it, but they are almost clear beads with just a hint of lavender to it. I wove this bracelet using a spiral weave, which adds a little extra flair, and it's designed to be fastened by tying on the ends. The bracelet is 10 inches long including the ties and the actual decorative knotting is around 6 1/2 inches long.

This necklace came together as a result of multiple inspirations. First, my wonderful mother-in-law likes to buy me beads :) Isn't that awesome? She bought me the millifiori beads that you see throughout the necklace, and I had them sitting out on my work table while I decided what to do with them.

Next, I've started following the blog "Thursday Sweet Treat" and they have a weekly them. This weeks theme was "Where the Wild Things Bloom" (http://thursdaysweettreat.blogspot.com/2009/02/theme-5-wild-blossom.html). I saw that - looked at my millifiori beads - and knew that the two were made for each other!

This is a three strand necklace comprised of a mixture of heart millifiori beads, diamond millifiori beads, and silver-lined seed beads in orange, yellow, and red. Millifiori means "thousand flowers," and each bead features little tiny flowers! You can see it best in the close up shot to the right.

The necklace is adjustable and will fit a variety of sizes.

Oh yes! And the third bit of inspiration...as I thought of the theme I had the song "wild thing" stuck in my head...thus its inclusion at the top of this listing :)

Color Explodes Bead Woven Bracelet

This bead woven bracelet has a lot of great features. The center piece is a dichroic fused glass cabochon that has been surrounded by seed beads. To reflect the various colors and designs in the cabochon I used peyote weave to create free form bracelet. Which means that I created it with out any particular pattern in mind, I just let the designs develop as I weaved, and that created a wonderful color explosion!

This bracelet is approximately 8 1/2 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide. The clasp is a bead woven toggle and is both easy to fasten as well as secure.

"Color Explodes" represents hours of work weaving beads, one by one, by hand. There are thousands of beads involved, multiple weaving techniques, a cabochon, and even a swarovski crystal!

"Set Me Free." I chose the title of this piece because butterfly's, to me, are such free and light hearted creatures! I formed this bracelet using peyote stitch. The center piece of the bracelet is a butterfly, and the rest of the bracelet is done in free form. This means I had no set plans, just a bunch of beads, and they randomly came together. That's the second reason this bracelet is titled "Set Me Free."

This bracelet is approximately 7 1/2 inches long. It contains 7 different colors of size 11 seed beads, 4 colors of size 6 or 8 seed beads, pearls, hex beads, square beads, and even a few pieces of amethyst! It is fastened using a bead with another butterfly, and a loop closure of seed beads.

This piece is OOAK - One of a Kind. No reproduction will ever be made. I couldn't even if I wanted too :)

I chose to submit this piece because the bright colors just make me smile! I love making spiral ropes! I made this simple necklace from a mixture of bright seed beads that I've had for a long time, and then one day, they started shouting at me saying "make us into a rope!" So I did :) It's important to listen when the beads talk to you after all. The bead mixture is combined with some larger clear beads that form the base of the rope.

Spirit Fairy is the second in my Fairy series of necklaces. See below for looks at the other piece in the series and the story that goes with the necklace! The necklace has been made using a combination of bead weaving techniques and is my own design. I used delica's in this particular necklace, and they added to the light, fairy, feel of the necklace! It graduates in color from light violet, to purple, dark purple, purple, and back to light violet.

I created the first piece in my elements series as a result of a team challenge and I fell in love with it!

Wind Dancer represents the Air element. This was actually the hardest of the series for me to come up with because, after all, how do you portray air in beads? In the end I used hundreds of clear beads, and over 50 tiny Swarovski crystals! The crystals in the weave make the necklace form gentle waves, which I think is quite appropriate for the wind, don't you?

This necklace is adjustable between 16 and 18 inches long and is about one inch wide. It comes with hoop earrings to match that are approximately 1 inch in diameter.

"Earth Walker" is the 4th and final piece in my Elements series. The series started because of a challenge by the Big Damn Crafters (search TeamBDC) with a piece that I titled "Saffron's Firebird Necklace." This was the first ever of my original creations, and I so fell in love with it that I knew I needed to make more!

"Earth Walker" shows the two things I think of when I think of the earth element. The first three colors (amber, rootbeer brown, and bronze) represent the actual ground itself. The next three colors (dark green, green, and light green) represent all the growing things that the ground nourishes. To me the two are intertwined and I couldn't represent Earth with out showing both!

The necklace is adjustable between 15 and 17 inches and closes with a handcrafted hook clasp done in bronze.

This bracelet has been a long time in the making! I've been wanting to start a line of "geekery" pieces, and this was high on my list! I hit a lot of snags in getting the colors right - but finally I got approval from my two "geek" experts - and it's ready to sell!

The finished bracelet would be perfect for a man or woman with large wrists as it measures 8 inches long and is just over 1 inch wide. I can easily reproduce it in a shorter length, so if your interested please just give me two weeks to recreate it! The bracelet itself features Link, in what my brother tells me is probably his form from The Windraker. It also has 4 of the Triforce symbols in blue.
