This is the perfect yarn for hats, mittens, scarves and even soakers! Hand Painted with washfast and lightfast dyes, you will enjoy knitting with this worsted weight yarn. The wool for this yarn is from Peruvian sheep, which are a cross of Merino and Corriedale sheep. This is a lovely yarn full of bounce and air which will knit up into a soft and cushy fabric. This yarn is NOT Superwash, and will felt and full well. I recommend hand washing your knitted item gently if using this yarn.

This is a soft natural white Romney fleece from a shepherd in Oregon. The fleece has lots of crimp (for a Romney) and is very soft. I hand scoured the wool and then hand dyed it but have not processed it beyond that. There is some VM (vegetatble matter) in the fleece but is just field grass which will easily pick or fall out during combing, flicking or carding. You could also just hand-fluff the locks and spin from the lock as they are very defined in this fleece.

Alpaca fiber is one of the most beautiful fibers to spin and knit. There is no lanolin in the fleece so cleaning the fleece is very easy. This fleece is black with very slightly faded tips and has a small amount of VM is it which will easily fall out during the carding process. This is the second shearing for a lovely little boy called Charlie and the fiber is very soft with 4 inch staple length through out the fleece. This fleece is well skirted and there should be no second cuts left. You are buying a prime fleece.

I have 2 lb 12 oz total of this fleece, if you need more let me know, 1 lb sells for $30. I've only listed 4 4oz lots in this listing, but currently the whole fleece is available.

The color is closest to the the main picture of the whole fleece in the bag, it is black with some sheen which makes it a little hard to photograph correctly.
