Here is an item we think no family should be without.
The talking stick is held by the one allowed to talk during A family meeting all others must listen quietly, once their piece has been said they then pass it along to another member to allow them thier chance to speak.
What A peaceful and calm way to settle disputes!

My rendition of the tribunal talking stick is made with A lightweight Saguaro cactus rib (A cacti only found to grow in parts of Arizona and California along with Sonora,Mexico)
Embelished with soft golden raw edge buckskin,black sheep skin,The handcut buckskin fringe is inner mingled with strands of turquoise nuggets,burnished silver beads and hieshi,black buffalo horn hairbone and coral stone beads,
horsehair and feather drops.
On the very top is A large bone button topped by A turquoise nugget and two strands of burnished silver hieshi and cones with two small turquoise nuggets.

The talking stick measures 21 inches top to bottom.

Due to the nature of the materials used this talking stick is A one of A kind piece and each is artist signed.

Fully funtional rattle made with A genuine turtle shell wrapped inhand stiched golden buckskin. The handle is made with A deer bone embelished with A bone disc topped by A snake vertibrae and two badger claws ,toward the bottom of the handle is A buffalo tooth atop an agate stone donut
The base of th handle is finished off with hand cut golden buckskin fringe with black glass crow beads,bone hairpipe,and burnished silver beads.

The shell measures 4 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide.
Over all this rattle is 13 1/4 inches long and 19 1/2 inches long including the fringe.

Fully funtional turtle shell rattle wrapped in soft hand stitched amber color buckskin. The handle is made from an Arizona saguaro cactus rib ( A cacti that only grows in parts of arizona and California and in Sonora,Mexico )

A moss agate cabachon,A raw turquoise chip,and hand cut fringe edged with red horn hairpipe.

The shell measures 4 1/2 inches by 5 inches and the total length of the rattle is 22 1/2 inches.

Here is A decorative and usefull little box.
This heart shaped wooden box is covered in A creamy soft buckskin with A leather hinged flip open lid.
It is embelished with dark brown pen shell hieshi strands accented by deep sky blue turquoise nuggets and silver beads hanging next to A hand cut buckskin "feather".

The box measures 4 3/4 inches across the widest point, 4 1/2 inches top to bottom and 2 1/4 deep

The web is woven with faux sinew for an authentic look then embelished with 6 genuine Nevada turquoise nuggets and A carved azurite/malachite fox fetish.

Heavy grade elk hide in A milk chocolate brown over A soft padding of wool fiber make up the "ball" atop this Saguaro
cactus rib walking staff ,below this A wrap of soft black sheep skin.
Brown hand cut buckskin is wrapped around the staff numerous times just below the sheep skin forming A "nest" that cradles A lovely clear quartz crystal from Arkansas.
Centered below the crystal is A carved jasper scarab from which hangs seven strands of beads ( the longest being over 20" long) You will find on these strands matte black glass beads,burnished silver beads & cones,bright blue turquoise beads,and horse hair drops.

This staff is very sturdy and would make for A great
(and interesting) hiking staff.

The staff is 3 feet 9 inches tall

A sturdy yet lightweight Arizona Saguaro cactus rib (known to grow only in parts of Arizona,California,and Sonora,Mexico)is used to make this walking staff that is strategically wrapped with golden buckskin then embellished with strands of handcut buckskin fringe with burnished silver beads cones and horse hair drops.
The beaded strands consist of bone hairpipe ,silver beads,grey oyster hieshi,turquoise,fossilized coral,brass discs,quartz crystal,and an antique hammered bronze bead.
guinea & cockatiel feathers finish it off.

The cliff rose branch used to make this walking staff was wildcrafted by myself in the mountains of Arizona.
The cliff rose is A wild growing "rose" tree.
It has been hand peeled of it's thorns and bark and left with A natural finish.

This walking staff is made from A lightweight yet sturdy Arizona Saguaro cactus rib (A cacti found to grow only in parts of Arizona and California and also Sonora,Mexico).

I have wrapped it in golden buckskin and white rabbit fur,
it is embellished with A leather wrapped faux eagle feather,topped by A turquoise nugget. Hanging down is A strand of black buffalo horn hairpipe,onyx fox fetish,burnished silver beads,A large turquoise nugget,fossilized coral nub,and A buffalo tooth.
A small agate cabochon,tin cone and faux eagle fluff adorn the buckskin hand patch.
This staff is topped by A genuine Arkansas jumbo (4" long) crystal point.

A tall Arizona Saguaro rib ( A cacti only found to grow in parts of Arizona and California and Sonora,Mexico)makes A sturdy yet light weight staff for hiking or ceremonial uses.

I have embellished this staff with A coyote face to which I have added green jade cabochons for the eyes.
Loosely wrapped golden raw edge buckskin sets the back drop to the adornments of :6"+ deer antler tip wrapped with buckskin and tipped with A round onyx cabochon from that hangs A leather wrapped turkey feather tipped with A clear crystal point,burnished silver beads,coyote vertibrae,1" turquoise bead,tin cone with horse hair drop. Another strand has burnished silver heishi and beads,buffalo horn and red horn hairpipe,coyote toe bone,buffalo tooth,and A large turquoise bead.
Lower down on the staff you will find sinew wrapped horsehair topped by an agate cabochon,and centered with an antler slice ,snake vertebrae,clear crystal point,and small amethyst nugget.
Back up to the top is A black sheep skin wrap ,more golden buckskin,and an impressive cluster of Arkansas crystals.

This staff/walking stick stands 5 feet 5 inches tall.

Here is A necklace that exemplifies the true look of the American southwest , big ,bold, and colorful!

I have created this piece from large chunks of natural branch coral in A vibrant red (17 in all) interspersed with small branch red coral , antiqued sterling silver beads and pen shell heishi.

This is not A necklace that will blend in , but rather it is meant to be the center of attention.
It will always elicit more than A passing glance.

Here is A prayer/smudge fan made with 3 faux (of course)
eagle feathers.

The handle is made with blue dyed buckskin (deer hide)
wrapped around the feather nibs then hand cut into fringe
and twisted. There is also A clear glass orb set into the leather for clearity and focus.

On the large feather tips there are blue buckskin triangles with black wood discs and genuine Arizona copper flake nuggets.

Total length from fringe to feathertip is 22"

eagle feathers and eagle fluff feathers.

The handle is made of black dyed buckskin wrapped and hand cut into fringed tipped with sterling silver beads.
There is also A shell disc with A pewter feather drop.

The tip of the 2 large eagle feathers has triangles of black buckskin topped by shell discs and silver beads, they are holding 2 eagle fluff feathers.

I created this walking stick from an Arizona saguaro cactus rib ( This cactus is only found growing in Arizona,parts of California,and Sonora,Mexico ).
Black sheep fleece and soft golden buckskin adorn the saquaro rib embelished with an elk antler slice topped by an agate cabachon,raw turquoise nugget copper wired on to A full toothed jaw bone,two carved bear fetishes one in jasper stone the other green turquoise. Handcut buckskin fringe with silver beads and cones hold 11 faux "eagle" feathers. To top this walking stick I have chosen A very large clear Arkansas crystal ( it measures 3 1/2" long,2' wide,and 5" around)
