Long Amethyst-Black Pearl Necklace

Iridescent black freshwater pearls, both rounds and stick shapes, commingle with large amethyst nuggets. The amethyst beads are translucent, not transparent, and are a very deep purple. They measure about 1/2" x 3/8". The biwa/stick pearls are about 3/4" to 7/8" long.

They are strung with a lustrous dark bronze/purple mix of glass seed beads. The necklace, which closes with a sterling silver lobster clasp, is a total of 31 1/2" long.

Labradorite's shifting spectral glimmers (labradoressence) often remind me of the Northern Lights. In the form of a 1 inch diameter pendant bead (with a hand made, beaded bail) and two 3/4 inch long ovals, labradorite is perfectly at home with faceted black onyx, fine Bali silver, black seed beads, and little black faceted, iridescent glass beads that mirror the colors in the labradorite.

The full length of the necklace is 15 7/8 inches.

Large brushed sterling silver beads - five saucers and two rounds -- make a dramatic statement with fiery red bamboo coral, turquoise, and Czech glass turquoise-look seed beads.

The silver saucers measure 5/8" across, and the rounds are 1/2". Full length of the necklace is 18".

Turquoise Nugget Choker

In this elegantly simple choker, a chunky turquoise nugget with its hand forged copper bail dangles from a string of wonderful metallic seed beads.

The hand forged pendant bail and hammered hook and eye clasp are much shinier than they appear in these scans. They were polished with a
Dremel, then buffed vigorously by hand. The pendant bail slides easily over the little metallic seed beads, a wonderful multi-hued, coppery-bronze Czech glass mix.

Total length of the necklace is 14". The turquoise pendant is about 1" across by 3/4" high.
