Wobble Wobble Down Went Jim - collaged notebook1930s Images

This isn't a store bought notebook. The paper has been cut, the holes punched, and it was spiral bound by hand.

Size: 8.5" long x 5.5" wide and has 55 sheets of white, recycled, lined paper inside. That means you'll get 110 pages to write or draw on.

About: The words and image used were cut out of an antique book I had lying around. The front cover has been sealed with beeswax, which makes it soft to the touch, and smells wonderful.

The image of the front cover is huge! If you double click on it, you will be able to see all the layering underneath the images.

All of my books are handmade. Some are hand painted. Some are done in a series of small, limited editions. Small imperfections are part of what makes them unique.

Some of the inside covers are splattered with paint from when I created the front covers. I think it adds to the charm of the book, so I didn't try to paint over it or cover it up. The back cover has been painted with gesso, so you can do whatever you like to it. Make it yours!

Handmade Journal - Inside Her Heart - Blank Book

Inside Her Heart is a unique, blank book handmade by me, Miz Katie. The cover is thick, sturdy chipboard. A high resolution print of my painting is mounted on the front cover. It is sealed with gel gloss. The cover has glitter sprinkled on it, and it has a thin layer of beeswax on top. It has a soft, mixed media art, textured feel. I have polished it, so it is shiny. To keep it shiny, just buff with cloth.

The back cover is painted white, and is ready for you to decorate, if you choose.

The book is bound with 2 silver, metal book rings, which are embellished with black, pink, orange and blue Fancy Fur yarn. The inside has an assortment of paper. There may be scrapbook paper, colored paper, watercolor paper, notebook paper and/or card stock. Each book has different paper inside. Paper may not be the exact same design as seen in the picture. The picture is an example.

This 4" W x 5" L book slips into a purse or backpack without taking up much room, so you can take it anywhere you go.

About: Front and back covers are hand painted using acrylic paints. I tried to duplicate the front as much as possible on the back, so it would be uniform. However, I did make small changes here and there to the back cover. Heavily layered background. There's all kinds of secret stuff under there! It's sealed with beeswax, which gives a soft textured feel.

Spiral-bound. Lies flat for easy use.

Inside covers are painted white. I used high-quality acid-free, thick, white paper. I'm not sure what the weight is, but the paper is thick enough for gesso and paint. There are 40 sheets, which gives you 80 pages to work on.

Signed?: not signed, but it has a Miz Katie stamp on the inside back cover. I'm more than willing to sign it for you, if you like.

I love this paper! And the size is perfect. Not too small or too big. The spiral binding allows the book to lie flat, so it is easy to work inside. It is sealed with gel gloss, which makes it slightly shiny, and protects the covers while you work inside the book.

I'm a Green Day fan. When I saw a photo of Mike Dirnt in RollingStone Magazine striking a tongue sticking out pose, I had to paint him.

I made these 4"W x 5"L reproductions using high quality prints of the painting. The prints were mounted on thick, sturdy chipboard using gel medium. After letting dry overnight, I hand painted each one to make them more like the original painting. I think it really makes the colors pop, and gives texture to an otherwise flat print.

I have several of these available. This listing is for one 4"x5" hand painted print. Each painting is the same, yet a tiny bit different. Colors may vary slightly because each one is hand painted. Each one is signed on back and has a Miz Katie stamp.

When I Grow Up I Will Build Houses - 1930s Collaged Notebook Journal

This isn't a store bought notebook. The paper has been cut, the holes punched, and it was spiral bound by hand.

Size: 8.5" long x 5.5" wide and has 55 sheets of white, recycled, lined paper inside. That means you'll get 110 pages to write or draw on.

About: The words and image used were cut out of an antique book I had lying around. The front cover has been sealed with beeswax, which makes it soft to the touch, and smells wonderful.

All of my books are handmade. Some are hand painted. Some are done in a series of small, limited editions. Small imperfections are part of what makes them unique.

Some of the inside covers are splattered with paint from when I created the front covers. I think it adds to the charm of the book, so I didn't try to paint over it or cover it up. The back cover has been painted with gesso, so you can do whatever you like to it. Make it yours!

The End Journal Blank Book

This isn't a store bought notebook. The paper has been cut, the holes punched, and it was spiral bound by hand.

This book is approximately 8.5" long x 5.5" wide. It is coil bound, and has 50 sheets of white, recycled, unlined, 24 lb. thick paper inside. That means you'll get 100 pages to write or draw on.

The front cover was hand painted using acrylic paint, and "THE END" was collaged on the house. It has been sealed with beeswax, which makes it soft to the touch, and smells wonderful.

When Winter Comes is a unique, blank book handmade by me, Miz Katie. The cover is thick, sturdy chipboard. A high resolution print of my painting is mounted on the front cover. It is sealed with gel gloss. The cover has glitter sprinkled on it, and it has a thin layer of beeswax on top. It has a soft, mixed media art, textured feel. I have polished it, so it is shiny. To keep it shiny, just buff with cloth.

The back cover is painted white, and is ready for you to decorate, if you choose.

The book is bound with 2 silver, metal book rings, which are embellished with black, pink, orange and blue Fancy Fur yarn. The inside has an assortment of paper. There may be scrapbook paper, colored paper, watercolor paper, notebook paper and/or card stock. Each book has different paper inside. Paper may not be the exact same design as seen in the picture. The picture is an example.

This 4" W x 5" L book slips into a purse or backpack without taking up much room, so you can take it anywhere you go.

I painted this last fall right before the US presidential election. During that time, I couldn't turn the tv on without hearing lots of disagreements between the parties. I was wishing for peace (and quiet!) from it all.

When Winter Comes is a unique, blank book handmade by me, Miz Katie. The cover is thick, sturdy chipboard. A high resolution print of my painting is mounted on the front cover. It is sealed with gel gloss. The cover has glitter sprinkled on it, and it has a thin layer of beeswax on top. It has a soft, mixed media art, textured feel. I have polished it, so it is shiny. To keep it shiny, just buff with cloth.

These handmade books are my tribute to hippies everywhere.

This is a mixed media piece. The book covers (inside and out) have been hand painted with white acrylic paint and sealed with glossy gel medium. The front cover was sealed with beeswax, making it feel soft, and it smells wonderful. The hippy dude is a print from another book cover I designed.

Size: 6 1/4"H x 4 1/4"W.

Paper: vintage colored construction paper. Some of the color has faded on the pages, so it definitely has charm. There are 55 sheets, making 110 pages.

Colors include: creamy white, pink, red, green, purple, orange, yellow, and black. Each book has a mixture of colored paper. You may or may not receive all colors listed.

This book is one-of-a-kind. I won't be making another like it.

It is codex bound, and hand painted with acrylic paint. The cover has been sealed with beeswax, making it soft and it smells wonderful.

The book measures 6"H x 4 1/2"W X 1" thick. It has six signatures, which were hand sewn. There are 72 sheets, making 144 pages.

The 20 lb paper has been stained, baked in the oven and then ironed. It gives the book a vintage feel because the paper is slightly crinkled, a little wrinkled, and a bit yellowed.

I'm a Green Day fan. When I saw a photo of Mike Dirnt in RollingStone Magazine striking a tongue sticking out pose, I had to paint him.

I made these 4"W x 5"L reproductions using high quality prints of the painting. The prints were mounted on thick, sturdy chipboard using gel medium. After letting dry overnight, I hand painted each one to make them more like the original painting. I think it really makes the colors pop, and gives texture to an otherwise flat print.

I have several of these available. This listing is for one 4"x5" hand painted print. Each painting is the same, yet a tiny bit different. Colors may vary slightly because each one is hand painted. Each one is signed on back and has a Miz Katie stamp.

I don't know about you, but I barely passed math class all through school. Failing to comprehend the subject was my inspiration for this piece. Do the Math is an original mixed media piece, which is heavily layered with simple math problems. Now, those I can do!

This piece is on 4.25" x 11" on birch plywood, and it's sealed with beeswax. To keep the finish glossy, simply buff with a cloth. It will become shiny again like magic. This is a hand painted, embellished mixed media print mounted on heavy chipboard. I originally painted Thimble & Thread on a book cover, which has been sold. Btw, her name is Thimble, his name is Thread.

I mounted this print on chipboard using gel medium. Then, I hand painted over it parts of the print to make the colors pop. It is sealed with gloss gel, and has a thin coat of beeswax to protect it for years to come. When the beeswax dulls, just wipe it with a soft cloth, and it will be shiny again in seconds.

It is signed on back and has a Miz Katie stamp.

You won't receive this exact embellished print, but you will receive one like it. Each one I create is the same, yet slightly different. Colors may vary due to hand painting, and which paint brand I use.

Wash Day - humorous embellished mixed media print on chipboard

His wife was at work. All his laundry was dirty. Good thing he knew his way around the laundry room. He threw a big ole load in the washer.

He, in his underwear, sat down and watched a bit of tv.

After the wash had finished its last spin cycle, he realized he had nothing to wear out to the clothesline. So, he borrowed his wife's skirt and sweater. As he hung up his orange shirt, he glanced around to make sure no one was watching him.

This a print, which I have hand painted with acrylic paint to give it depth. It has a painted feel when it's touched, making it more like a painting than a print. I like that effect.

It has a white border attached around three edges. I also added glitter and gloss gel to make it shiny. It is sealed with beeswax.

To keep the finish glossy, simply buff with a cloth. It will become shiny again like magic.
