Young Wolf tooth pendant

$15.00
REAL wolf canine tooth, this one well over an inch in length, drilled and strung on soft, supple hand-stretched (not by me!) deerskin thong, with a 500-year old African trade bead (called "bunkah" or "bonkah" beads. These beads I acquire personally from a contact in Delaware who deals in antiques and trade beads) as a centerpiece. This is a very basic design for a reason--I'm testing the waters, so to speak, for other designs. This specimen came from a rather young animal and has a natural hairline crack which has been sealed and reinforced with enamel. It also features a Tibetan silver howling wolf charm.

This is a REAL North American wolf tooth, and not a counterfeit tooth purchased from overseas. These counterfeit teeth are commonly labeled "Tibetan wolf" and are actually sourced from the domestic dog, not wolf.

This is a classic focus for shamanic or animistic work. Wolf teeth were worn in a variety of spiritual and cultural contexts with the belief that it would imbue the wearer with the strength and courage of the wolf.

Disclaimer: NO wolves were killed specifically for the making of this piece. Surprisingly, teeth and bone are considered a byproduct of the fur trade which would otherwise be discarded, most likely by grinding up for bone meal for fertilizer. I work with recycled objects from nature, portion of proceeds going back to wildlife rescue facilities and other related nonprofit groups.

Shipping is within the U.S. ONLY due to Federal import/export laws. These laws are put in place to protect the species.

Portion of proceeds from sale of this item will go to a wolf education facility in Minnesota.
Elderly Wolf fang pendant with longevity dZi beads

$32.00
Large REAL wolf canine tooth (roughly two inches long, or a little over), drilled and strung on soft, supple hand-stretched (not by me!) deerskin thong, with a 500-year old African trade bead (called "bunkah" or "bonkah" beads. These beads I acquire personally from a contact in Delaware who deals in antiques and trade beads) as a centerpiece. This is a very basic design for a reason--I'm testing the waters, so to speak, for other designs. This specimen came from a very old animal as it is very worn down and polished near the end from wear and use. Wolves, being social creatures, protect and support the ill and infirm of their pack, especially if they are of value to the life of the pack (know the migratory routes of large prey animals, protecting the young, etc.). I have decorated this tooth with two carnelian dZi beads with the symbol for longevity on each--a fitting addition for a tooth of this age.

SALE Little Coyote Totem Bottles With Corks

$3.00
Tiny glass bottles with corks, stuffed with raw, naturally shed coyote fur. The coyote bottles have a Tibetan silver sitting coyote charm (there are design details on the charm lost in the photo, unfortunately my iPhone is all I have to take pictures usually). The necks of the bottles are wrapped with hemp.

This is a different take on the totem 'medicine bag'--a vessel holding the contents of an animal's essence to provide focus for a person wishing to work with that animal's archetypal energies. With the construction of the bottle, the contents can be seen, as well as touched and even smelled, providing for more of a meditative focus.

Portion of proceeds from the sale of this bottle will go towards the rescued coyotes at a facility in Indiana who donated their shed fur for this project.
Essence Of The Coyote raw coyote fur and white sage

I used to love those things. So I added some white sage at the bottom of the bottle, and layered the top with naturally shed coyote fur from the coyotes at a rescue center in Indiana. I wrapped tan hemp around the neck of the bottle, and added a coyote tooth charm on one side, as well as a Tibetan silver howling coyote charm on the other.

A totem bottle, for adorning one's altar, or a focus for meditation on Canis latrans.

Portion of proceeds from the sale of this bottle will go towards the rescued coyotes at a facility in Indiana who donated their shed fur for this project.
