Maine Map Necklace----Bar Harbor

This is a hand made Maine Map Necklace. The clipping is of an old Maine Map from about 1980. It features a very beautiful coastal community called Bar Harbor. There is a red teepee symbol to let you know there is camping here. You can see the water and some islands. The area that is colored green is part of Acadia National Park.

I hand cut, grind, solder (lead-free), and polish each piece by hand.

This is a listing for one of my hand made Maine Map necklaces. This is a real clipping from an old Maine Map from around 1980. I have hand cut, soldered (lead free), and polished this piece. I use maps that would otherwise be thrown out, and glass from picture frames and windows that have broken and cannot be used. So these are repurposed treasures....you may cherish a special piece of Maine.

This clipping shows Portland, Peaks Island, Long Island, Falmouth Foreside, and a section of Chebeague Island.

Measures:

3/4 of an inch by 3/4 of an inch.

Maine Map Necklace---Hand Painted State of Maine

This is a handmade pendant. I have taken a clipping of an old Maine street map. It is a yellow section of Portland where the University of Southern Maine is located. I have painted on the inside of the glass with blue enamel so that you can see the rest of the map in the shape of the State of Maine.

Faceted Lemon Topaz on an Adjustable Satin Necklace

This listing is for a handmade necklace. I have wrapped a faceted lemon topaz in Argentium sterling silver (tarnish resistant). I have hammered the frame and added my signature three dots to the bottom left side. I have also coiled a thinner gauge wire to add some interesting detail.

Comes on an adjustable black satin necklace. The satin necklace is 16 inches with a 3 inch extender chain. Use the lobster claw clasp to adjust your necklace to any length between 16 and 19 inches.

Herkimer Diamond Wire Pendant on Adjustable Satin Necklace

This is a handmade wire pendant. I used Argentium Sterling Silver wire (tarnish resistant) to capture this beautiful Herkimer Diamond crystal. This is a natural piece of quartz that is raw and uncut...it comes out of the ground looking just as it is. These Herkimer Diamonds get their names from Herkimer, New York where they are found...and appear to be faceted diamonds when they are pulled from the earth. I have hammered a teardrop shaped frame and added my signature three dots on the bottom right.

Comes on an adjustable black satin necklace. Can be adjusted anywhere from 16 to 19 inches using the three inch extender chain and lobster claw clasp.

Measures:

1 1/4 inches long including the bail

1/2 inch wide at the widest

Herkimer Diamond and Amethyst Gemstone Adjustable Necklace

This is a smooth Amethyst wrapped securely within a hammered Argentium Sterling Silver (tarnish resistant) frame. It is accented by a Herkimer Diamond crystal on the top. These Herkimer Diamonds appear to be faceted diamonds, but are actually naturally double terminated quartz from New York. These quartz actually come out of the ground sparkling and reflecting light everywhere and have not been cut or polished in the process...just cleaned of the earth that they were found in. Truly a tremendous stone! I have added my signature 3 dots to the bottom right of the hammered teardrop pendant frame.

This pendant comes on a 16 inch black satin necklace with a 3 inch extender chain. There is a lobster claw clasp so you can adjust the length of this necklace anywhere from 16 inches to 19 inches.

Faceted Smokey Quartz Gemstone Adjustable Necklace

This is a beautiful faceted Smokey Quartz Gemstone that I have wrapped in Argentium Sterling Silver wire. The facets on this stone make it reflect the light at different angles. I hammered a teardrop shape for the frame and added my signature 3 dots to the bottom left side. There are lots of flowing loops and coils, all done by hand. Comes on a 16 adjustable black satin necklace with a 3 inch extender chain and lobster claw clasp so you can lengthen the necklace anywhere between 16 and 19 inches.

In this piece I have captured two gorgeous faceted stones in a thick Argentium sterling silver (tarnish resistant) frame and added some more detail with a thinner gauge wire. The green on the top is a seafoam or light minty green and is just a gorgeous accent to the dark pink.

This piece contains a pink tourmaline from Vietnam and a piece of seafoam green apatite. I have coiled and twisted sterling silver wire, and even hammered some of it to capture these two raw and uncut crystals in the shape of wings. These are natural crystal that were found as they are now. This is an interesting piece, and a definate one of a kind! Comes on an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain with a spring clasp.

This is a green Maine Tourmaline crystal that has been riveted between two ovals that I sawed out of sterling silver sheet metal. I then cut out the diamond in the center on the front and the back. It has some black dot designs that remind me of the southwest that I hammered in and then oxidized.

This Necklace features a raw blue apatite crystal in the center. I have hammered and textured the frame and wrapped the crystal in argentium sterling silver wire (tarnish resistant). It comes on an adjustable 16 inch chain with a sterling lobster clasp.

Measures:

1/2 of an inch wide at the widest

1 1/8 of inch long including the bail

16 inch silver plated chain with a 3 inch extension so you can extend the length up to 19 inches

Amethyst Wrap on Satin Necklace

This is a tumbled piece of Chevron Amethyst so it has mostly purple but there is some white in it as well. I have hand wrapped this in Argentium sterling silver, which is highly tarnish resistant so it won't need much polishing!

This is a tumbled piece of snowflake obsidian which I have wrapped in Argentium sterling silver. Argentium is sterling silver that is highly tarnish resistant, that means very little polishing.

This piece is black with grey spots.

This is a tumbled piece of Moonstone that I have wrapped with Argentium sterling silver wire. Argentium is sterling silver that is very tarnish resistant. The Moonstone has a some creamy whites and clear areas with a sort of opalescent shine.

This is a tumbled piece of Fluorite that I have wrapped in sterling silver wire. The majority of the stone is green when you hold it up to the light, although there are several beautiful purple lines that run across it.

Maine Map Necklace----Casco Bay

This is a real clipping from an old Maine map from about 1980. It shows the blue of the Atlantic Ocean, a white island and it says Casco Bay, and Ft. Allen Pk. I have added a tiny clipping of the word Maine that I cut out of an old Maine map.

I hand cut, grind, solder(lead free) and polish each piece. Made with repurposed maps and salvaged broken glass.

3/4 by 3/4 of an inch hand cut and grinded tiles.

Maine Map Necklace----Portland Maine

This is a real clipping from an old Maine map from about 1980. It shows the Portland Maine jetport with a tiny black plane and a section of the Fore River. This shows through the negative space shaped like Maine that I have painted in a beautiful dark and light blue on the inside of the glass.

Maine Map Necklace----Yarmouth

A real clipping from an old Maine Map. This happens to be my hometown. The map clipping is a pale yellow with a small symbol for highway 95. I have added my own artistic design in blue and green as swirls on the inside of the glass.

Pastel Patchwork Hair Bead

This hair bead was made by weaving tiny delica seed beads into a hollow tube, or beaded bead. I used a double strand of fireline thread so this will last, and you can also get it wet.

The colors are a pastel patchwork in peach, purple and teal. This is a one of a kind design that I created.

Measures:
3/4 of an inch long (21 mm)
the inside opening is 3/8 of an inch wide (9 mm)
It fits well over a bic pen.

Use on your dreadlock, or braid into your hair.

This necklace measures 18 inches including the silver plated crimp ends, two split rings and lobster claw closure.

From the Maine Destinations Series

This pendant is made using a real piece of an old Maine map from 1978. It features a section of Maine that includes Rangeley, Rangeley Lake, and Loon Lake. There is a small symbol of an airplane, a red star in the center, and a skiier on the bottom right. This happens to be one of my favorite Maine destinations, another gorgeous piece of land.

The front is glass that has been hand cut by me, the back is a mirror and the silver solder is lead-free.

Comes on an 18" ball chain necklace with lobster claw clasp.

Measures:
The tiles measure 3/4 of an inch by 3/4 of an inch.

The ball chain necklace is 18 inches.
