This simple, unpretentious little piece makes me think of the lines from the William Blake poem, Auguries of Innocence. "To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour."
(That poem is quite long. If you've not read it, you may want to.)
As it's name suggests, the centerpiece of this necklace is reminiscent of a galaxy in the palm of your hand. The design is based on the De Bloem flowers, but spiraled into points. Metallic blue-green-purple seed beads and cornflower blue seed beads are offset by metal spiral spacers. Clasp is a barrel clasp, slivertone. Necklace is apprx. 17 inches long and can be extended if necessary. Galaxy centerpiece is about 1 inch wide.

This represents a beaded foray into the realm of steampunk style. The peyote stitch tab pendant with a gear design is connected to the beaded chain by rust coloured "tubes". The metallic beaded chain is dramatically lengthened by copper chain with a lobster claw clasp. The beads are delicas; rust coloured, a gold-silver light metallic mix, and a dark glittering bronze. Appropriate for every day wear, you'll be asked where you got such pretty jewelry. Glittering rainbows of seed beads are seperated by natural amethyst chips and purple bugle beads. Focal of necklace is an unusual glass 'stone-like' purple bead. The necklace and earrings both center in loops of beads and stone.

This is a small pendant piece for those who require a somewhat more subtle splash of colour to complete their outfits. Created in shades of orange, golds, and browns, it doesn't explode off the neck so much as accent a lovely neckline. Unplanned square-stitch with delicas suggests the natural curves of desert hills, and a single dyed shell bead may suggest a heavenly body. The pendant is just over 2 inches long, and is suspended on an incredibly fine gold chain, which is about 17 inches long. The chain is 10 carat gold according to the mark.

Although often considered a pest, the flowering plant Akebia has a gorgeous variety of flowers. It's unusual enough that I thought it the perfect title for this addition to the De Bloem collection. You see, if unusual is what you're looking for, Akebia is for you.

This necklace is made of muted shades of browns and blues, with a few foil-lined brown glass beads at regular intervals. The center flower is a double design, making it look thicker than my usual flowers. It has some brass coloured findings to add that odd sparkle. At a little over 15 inches long, and the centerpiece just a bit more than one inch, this necklace is reserved for subtle, unusual manners of dress.

This is a gorgeous, glittering set of beaded jewelry in a unique design pattern. The beads used are clear and opaque white iridescent, lending the entire set a distinctly ethereal vintage look. The choker pattern brings to mind lace of a bygone era. This set is perfect for a crafty wedding!

Why you're correct, I don't usually do earrings! These lovely long dangles were, however, serendipitous. On silver earring hooks, they feature opalescent buff and shimmering teal delica seed beads. What's sure to catch glances, however, are the teal-green genuine seed pearls (freshwater, I believe). From ball to tip, each earring is about two inches long.

This necklace is a very feminine confection, named after the well known flower of the Camellia plant. Trivia: these flowering shrubs were beloved by Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and grown in all of her gardens. The bulk of the necklace is a loose woven design using dusty pale pink and foil lined peach glass beads. These colours create the center flower as well, and spiral inwards to a semi-hidden heart of bright red. The asymmetrical dangle features three light rose quarts beads.
