Sassy Teapot with Attitude

This teapot is glazed with a carbon trap Shino glaze and fired in a gas kiln. The variations of orange to grey to black along with the texture developed on the surface are all characteristics of a Shino glaze.

Dancing Diva Wall Sculpture

This wall sculpture is a part of a series inspired by the songs and dances seen in Bollywood movies. I have tried to capture the movements and fluidity seen in the fabrics when the dancers twist, turn, sway and dance with joy.

The body of the sculpture is decorated to mimic the embroidery and rich colors seen in the fabrics of India.

I see so many Bollywood movies, it is no surprise it reflects in my work.

These bottles are full of life dancing away without a care in the world. I think I had too much wine the day I was making them.. LOL!

This listing is for one oil bottle that is decorated in bright red and white slip and glazed in a honey golden glaze.

The slip decoration is done free hand on both the front and back of the bottle with different patterns. They emulate the look of fabric with embroidery wrapped around someone dancing with joy. The textured pattern also gives better grip to the bottle and shape fits well in the hand.

Each mug has two different designs (one in front and one at the back), making them decorative any way you see it.
The texture over the decorated area is very pleasant to touch along with the texture at the bottom my mugs. Yes, the bottom of my mugs is also textured to give the person loading/unloading the dishwasher something interesting to look at. :)
The inside of the mug is swirl made while throwing on the wheel. This always brings a smile when you are taking your last sip of your beverage.

Handmade Butter dish with butter knife

I have been working on butter dishes for more than a year now. Seems like a long time but it takes time to get the design of any product final. My challenge was to create butter dishes with lids in which one could keep a stick of butter and also would have room for the butter knife.
People generally do not like to keep butter knifes on a different plate, so I designed a lid which had room for the butter knife. The butter knife comes with the purchase.

Throwing them on the wheel is an option, but that resulted in round butter dishes, and butter sticks are rectangular. :)
I made this by extruding it and after making several dies, this is a design that I am happy with.

Soap dish Sponge Holder

The soap dish you are looking at is highly functional with deep groves to avoid getting the soap soggy. You will always enjoy picking up a dry soap and the dish is big enough to accommodate a real big soap too. Dimensions are 5”x4”. I like my soap big and I like it on a big soap dish.

One of a kind Sassy Sculpture Jar

For letting the clay become what it wants to be, I make these jars upside down. That way I need to think backwards and I don't try to be very strict about the final shape I want the piece to be. When I flip it over, it emerges with a personality of its own.

Some of the greatest ideas come from customers. Looking at my slip decoration, one customer wanted to make small jewelry pendants in my bright colors and slip decoration. That is how this heart shaped pendant evolved.

This is a handmade heart shaped pendant, glazed in bright red with slip decoration. As you can see I have made a few of these and though they are all very similar, due to the handmade nature of each piece, each will differ slightly from the next. The pendant shipped will be one of these.

This piece is inspired by the rich colors of Bollywood (Indian movies) and the fabrics/embroidery seen on fabrics in India. The clay was extruded and then altered to be oval in shape. Patches are then glazed in deep blue and decorated with slip representing similar farbic patch work that is done in the western part of India. The details in the patches really makes the piece stand out.

This is a nice sized mug which has been decorated free hand with slip, and Indian motif stamps making each piece very unique. The swirl and design at the bottom rim add to the fluidity and movement of the piece making it very dynamic.
It is glazed with a cream interior and a rasberry maroon glaze on the exterior. The bottom of my mugs is also textured to give the person loading/unloading the dishwasher something interesting to look at.

You are looking at one of my Bollywood inspired bowls, which has been decorated free hand with slip, making each piece very unique. The colors and designs used to decorate these bowls have been inspired by the Indian fabrics and embroidery often seen in the movies. The bowl listed has a honey gold glaze and a bright orange textured design with black slip decoration.

These bottles are full of life dancing away without a care in the world. I think I had too much wine the day I was making them.. LOL!

Stoneware Mug

This is a nice sized mug which has been decorated free hand with slip, and Indian motif stamps making each piece very unique. The swirl and design at the bottom rim add to the fluidity and movement of the piece making it very dynamic.
It is glazed with a cream interior and a deep rasberry red glaze on the exterior. The bottom of my mugs is also textured to give the person loading/unloading the dishwasher something interesting to look at.
The inside of the mug is swirl made while throwing on the wheel. This always brings a smile when you are taking your last sip of your beverage.

This series of my soap/lotion dispensers will surely bring a smile. They have the attitude, the spunk, the movement which can make every morning fun to start of. They are influenced a lot by Bollywood music that I keep playing in my studio. I am certain the clay still has the music I was playing while making them.

Some of the greatest ideas come from customers. Looking at my slip decoration, one customer wanted to make small jewelry pendants in my bright colors and slip decoration. That is how this heart shaped pendant evolved.

This is a handmade heart shaped pendant, glazed in bright red with slip decoration. As you can see I have made a few of these and though they are all very similar, due to the handmade nature of each piece, each will differ slightly from the next. The pendant shipped will be one of these.

The pendant hangs from a antique brass bail and can be used with a gold chain or cord of your liking (Cord or chain not included)

Dimensions: 1.5" x 1.5" x 1/8th inch thick.

The pendant will be packaged in a small pillow case as seen in the picture and will be shipped in another outer box by USPS Priority mail.

The soap dish you are looking at is highly functional with deep groves to avoid getting the soap soggy. You will always enjoy picking up a dry soap and the dish is big enough to accommodate a real big soap too. Dimensions are 5”x4”. I like my soap big and I like it on a big soap dish. 
