Today I learned of the Stoat which is known in North America as the short-tailed weasel. In the winter months the Stoat's coat turns to white which is known as ermine. Unfortunately this is very valuable in the fur-trade.

Mmmmmm...Bottle-O-Vulture is not only thirst-quenching (sorry you're gonna have to provide your favorite spirits) but decorative as well.

This is a 12.5" recycled bottle lovingly adorned with an original mixed media rendering of a vulture in flight. I began with a pastel/charcoal base and added layers of gouache and acrylic paint. It is coated with a thick glossy protective finish.

It can be filled with a beverage of your choice. It is not dishwasher safe but can be gently hand-washed.

I am making myself sick with all of the baby bird sketches. For some reason I just can't help myself. I think one allure is that most baby birds are unidentifiable. Most seem to be wide-eyed, covered in a downy awkward coat of feathers, helpless and hungry. All of this is odd because I find the bird world so dang fascinating because each bird is so unique. I love contradictions.

These two little guys measure 9 1/4"x7 1/2". This is an original charcoal and pastel sketch and is unframed.
