Just another addition to the many things I have come up with for all of my tshirt scraps. This is a larger wristlet/clutch made from recycled tshirt sleeves. I've appliqued two black and white skunks (my own design) onto the front with a red heart between them. The pouch measures approximately 11 x 4 (at the shallowest point.The inside has been lined with a red fleece (another scrap from my many scrap boxes. The front of this was made from a white sleeve, the back is a black sleeve.

The flower is secured not only with thread... but also with a dab of glue. While these can be worn by adults, I make all my items as if they are going to be used by kids.

New to my collection, I have come up with a fun, easy to wear capelet and hood. These hoods are easy for kids to get on and off. I've made this capelet reversible as well.

Made from 100% recycled tshirts, I estimate this to fit 18 months to 3T (maybe even 4T as the shoulders are broad enough to accomodate a little larger). My daughter in the picture wears 18 month to 2T clothes.

The outside is a dark red and the inside is a light grey with a few hearts for embellishment.

Could be a fun addition to a costume for halloween or a dress up box - or perfect for everyday wear.

I came up with these while on vacation last week. They are so much fun! My son wore the prototype it around the hotel room for several hours, swaying his head back and forth like he had long hair. My daughter loves them to pretending she's a pirate - argh!

These hats have been made from the scraps that I have salvaged from the tshirts I use for the capes and dresses. I throw away very little from a tshirt and I'm always coming up with fun new ways of using the scraps.

You wouldn't believe the HUGE pile of tshirt scraps I have accumulated over the past few weeks making the dresses, bibs, smocks and capes. Just as I do with all my scraps, I save them and challenge myself to come up with ways to use them. Well, this is my latest!

A fun and funky hat - one size fits most (fits my daughter, my son and me). It's made from a purple and black marbled t-shirt. For the mohawk, I've used a black, a red and a purple shirt. Super fun and super funky!

The hat can be worn two ways - the short side with the seam showing puts the mohawk closer to the face. The longer side (on my son) pushes the mohawk further back on the head. It's all about your preference - and really, you can wear it sideways if you'd like. I won't tell.

I reclaim old tshirts and give them a new life. I often concentrate on making dresses, but every once in a while, a tshirt will lend itself better to a skirt.

The GreenDay skirt is made with a recycled GreenDay tshirt that had a few holes. I've cut the holes out and sewn in patches of red along the bottom. I've serged the bottom for a semi-finished look. I've enclosed elastic in the top for a snug and comfortable fit.

The skirt measures 20 inches around the waist stretching to comfortably fit 24". It is 20 inches from the bottom of the waist band to bottom of the skirt. As my sizes are estimates, I recommend that you measure your child prior to purchasing.

** This skirt could also be a halter for a smaller child - say 2T - 3T

I reclaim old tshirts and give them a new life. I also have tons of scraps that I can't seem to just toss. I've started making these twirl skirts with some of the scraps.

The Diver skirt is made with mostly dark grey, charcoal colored shirt scraps. Several of them are from a shirt that said something about diving and it had a red manta ray on it. The bottom ruffle on the skirt was made from a black tshirt that had black bats on it.

The skirt measures 22 inches around the waist stretching to comfortably fit 25". It is 14.5 inches from the bottom of the waist band to bottom of the skirt. As my sizes are estimates, I recommend that you measure your child prior to purchasing.
