Dream Angel - Stained Glass Panel

$45.00
ON SALE (WAS $50.00)

11 7/8" x 8" original design. I have used 7 different colors and types of glass, some are irridized. I use only the best quality of glass for my panels. I use the Tiffany method: hand cut glass, wrap each piece in a copper foil tape and solder together. This is a very time consuming process, but the end product is very much worth the effort.

Incorporated also are 3 rows of glass beads attached from the head to the halo (there is no glass in this area, which makes a nice focal point). The panel is framed in zinc came for extra support. There is no patina applied. Panel is polished to a beautiful sheen with a carnauba wax.

The hangers are on the back side hidden from view. I use a clear filament (fishing line) to hang most small pieces: looks like its hanging in thin air.

This panel would make a nice gift for someone's "Dream Angel".

Please visit www.glassartists/org/debisstainedglass. This is a free website for glass artists, all styles, to show their work.

Variable Star

$130.00
This is a very nice quilt design, size 12 1/2" by 12 1/2".
The glass is clear red, and red and white swirl art glass. Beautiful colors, really stands out. The clear textured border is irridized (lots of different colors show up in the light). There are 4 clear bevel squares (1 inch square in each corner). Please excuse my photos, I took them with the blinds closed so you could see how bright the panel was, even without much light.

I hand cut out the design in glass (not painted or glued), grind the edges to smooth, wrap each individual piece in a copper foil tape, and solder together (the Tiffany method). The border around the panel is zinc, which gives extra support. There is no patina on this piece which makes for a shinny finish. The panel is then cleaned and waxed with a carnauba wax.

The colors of this panel are very brilliant reds. The pictures really do not do justice for this panel.

I welcome custom orders, your design, or mine. Please convo me with any questions. Thank you for shopping.

MODERN RUGGED CROSS STAINED GLASS SUNCATCHER

$20.00
My most recent experimental use of stained glass and beads are the crosses I make. This is truly a rugged cross, modern in design, but holds true to the symbol of a higher power and faith.

It is a very sad day to have heard of the recent tragedy which happened at one of our own military bases in Texas. My heart goes out to all the innocent victims as casualties of war. I do believe that war can make monsters of human beings. This cross represents my sympathy and faith for these victims and their families who will have to learn to carry on without their loved ones. God Bless.

I have used the finest materials, a beautiful turquoise water glass, focal grape amethyst round gemstone bead 7-7.5mm, green glass leaf beads, blue chalcedony smooth round 5mm gemstone beads, and tiny blue chalcedony tube beads. I used copper wire for the sculpture and tiny copper wire wrapping to attach the beads to the sculpture.

Each piece of glass is hand cut, grinded for smoothness, wrapped with a copper foil tape, soldered together, the sculpture is then added, all is cleaned and polished with a carnauba wax for the perfect finish. No patina was used on this piece.

As always, thanks for visiting and please come back soon.

Join me on my blog for an interesting story about these crosses
http://www.a1debsglass@blogspot.com

A black patina is applied giving it an antiqued feel. The star is then cleaned and polished with a carnauba wax for the perfect finish.

This heart would look great in your most visited window, along with some of my other suncatcher designs, or would make a great Christmas gift for the lucky on your list.

Please join my blog for ideas and tips
http://a1debsglass@blogspot.com

Thanks for visiting and please come back soon.

LITTLE RED SCHOOL HOUSE SUNCATCHER

$22.50
I have always been fascinated with this classic quilt design, especially in the patriotic colors of red, white and blue. This day and age, I think our society should be proud of our freedoms we have, such as the right to an education, and freedom of speech. So much for the serious side.

Little Red School House is 6 x 4.5 inches (including the chimneys). The colors are red, white and blue stained glass, handmade by me. Each piece is hand cut, wrapped with a copper foil tape, soldered together, and a dark patina applied for the antique appeal. It has been cleaned and polished with a carnauba wax for protection and shine.

This is not a toy. The solder does contain lead, so hand washing ater handling is important. I have worked with glass for over 25 years, and never had a problem with lead poisioning.

I hope you enjoy this piece of Americana, and the freedoms it represents. Thanks for visiting and please do come back soon.

Green leaves for her to alight, on a beautiful shimmery day.

Stained glass ladybug is 8" round framed with lead came for support. Each piece of glass in hand cut, wrapped in a copper foil tape, and soldered together.
