When I designed this pendant I was thinking of the shasta daisies in my garden. Rather than grow in an orderly neat fashion, mine grow wild and viny. The pendant is hand glazed in a deep chocolate brown with tiny gold flecks. This porcelain pendant measures about 1.5 inches (38 mm) in diameter.

The pattern on this pendant comes from a vintage Indian batik stamp. I made a model based on this stamp and it's classic lotus design. It is hand glazed with a deep brown with golden flecks background. The raised lotus pattern is glazed with a deep pansy that breaks to white at the edges of the flower. The pendant is about 1.5 inches (38 mm) in diameter and about 1/8 " (3 mm) thick.

This pendant was handformed from a texture I made from vintage filigree. The lacey pattern is delicately raised from the surface of this oval shaped pendant. It is glazed front and back in a speckled rust/tan with hints of blue green. It measures about 1 3/8 " (35 mm) by 1 1/4 " (33 mm).

This listing is for an oval porcelain connector bead.The connector bead was textured from a moldmade from a Victorian lock from my old Melbourne home. It was glazed by hand (front and back)in a satin rust and olive. . The oval connector is about 1 3/8" x 1 1 1/8" (35 mm x 29 mm), about 1/8 " (3 mm) thick, and light weight. Designed as a focal in a bracelet, it could also work well as a pendant with a bead dropped from the bottom.

This pendant was handformed in porcelain using a mold I made of a Victorian lock from my old Melbourne home. The connector is glazed front and back in an ocean blue green that forms tiny blue crystals in the deeper parts of the pattern. It measures about 1.25" (32 mm) in diameter.

These connectors were formed from a mold I made of a Victorian door lock from our old Melbourne home. The connectors are made of porcelain and are glazed both front an back. A dark blue glaze was inlaid in the deeper parts of the pendant and the raised portions are glazed in butterscotch. The connectors are about 3/4 inches (20 mm) in diameter and about 1/8 " (3 mm) thick.Very light weight, they would be good as earings.

Bronze Koi Pendant

This pendant was handformed in bronze using a mold I made of my own artwork. I've finished the pendant with a patina for an aged look. The charm measures about 7/8" (22 mm) in diameter. It works well as a small pendant but is still small enough to use as a bracelet charm.

Note: This listing is for ONE pendant. I make these in series one at a time and there may be vary slight variations from one to the next. That's the beauty of handmade!

Note on the process:

These charms are made from metal clay, which isn’t really clay at all. It’s a mixture of tiny particles of bronze that are bound together to make a plastic substance that is moldable. Once fired, the result is a pure bronze piece.

I make all of my own molds, sometimes from vintage pieces but usually from my own artwork. Each piece is formed by hand one at a time. Once dry, they are sanded and filed smooth, then kiln fired overnight. They are then wire brushed, tumble polished, given a patina and then polished again. As handmade pieces each will vary slightly. That’s part of the beauty and uniqueness of these pieces. Almost certainly, you will find my fingerprints on the back. A little maker’s mark.

This listing is for 1 leaf shaped pendant handformed in a bright white porcelain clay. I make these leafs with a little twist to them reminiscent of a falling leaf. The pendant is glazed in a rich brown that breaks nicely to reveal the raised veins of the leaf. It is glazed both front and back. It is 1 5/8" x 1" (4.5 cm x 2.5 cm)in size, about 1/8 " (3mm) thick, and light weight.

They are glazed in a deep brown with little tiny speckles.The buttons are unglazed on the back but water resistant and tumble polished perfectly smooth. They are 1 5/8" x 1" (4.5 cm x 2.5 cm)in diameter, about 1/8 " thick, and light weight. They can be gently machine washed but hand washing is preferred.

This porcelain button measures 1.75" (44 mm) in diameter and is glazed in a light creamy white with a deep expresso brown. The button was handformed and stamped with a reverse image of my zinnia button.The back is unglazed, but sanded perfectly smooth, and is water resistant. These buttons can be gently machine washed and comes neatly carded with care instructions.

It is patterned with a floral motif from a texture I took from a Victorian lock. This is a two sided bead, inlaid with deep blue and overlaid with a pale ivory on the raised pattern. This bead is made from very thin sheets of porcelain clay, is hollow, and very light weight. The first and second photos show each side of the bead and placement of the hole and the third shows the profile of this type of bead. The bead will accomodate a standard head pin or up to an 18 gauge wire (with a little wiggle room). The bead measures about 1.5" (32 mm) in diameter and just under .5" (12 mm) at its thickest point.
