This necklace piece is made with the most delicate aqua blue green shade of glass beads. The word that comes to my mind as I hold them in the cup of my palm is VERDANT.

Young, unripe, innocent and fresh.

Yes, that is what I feel when I see the sun beams go through those transparent tear drops and the surrounding crystal like beads glisten with glee.

This necklace piece, 17" in length (43 cm approx) is made with faceted Czech glass briolettes and round fire polished faceted Czech glass beads. In between lies 24 k gold plated star dust beads and tiny turquoise seed beads. The necklace is held by antique gold triangular glass beads. The toggle clasp is gold plated and all the wire used is gold filled.

Believe me, the pictures didn't quite do justice to this piece.

I can see you wearing it with a black dress at night or with a casual greenish shade of cashmere at day time.

When I look at this finished piece, I think of moon beams on a cloudy night- radiant with a warm white glow, smiling with reassurance and blessings - just perfect for a bride's wrist. You may wear it on many other occasions too, whenever you feel like dressing up.

Made with fresh water pearls (4 mm size), the focal point of this wristlet is a swarovski studded antique silver piece. The central crystal has the hue of gray cloud color- they call it Montana.

I am not sure if the central finding piece is real antique silver or silver plated. So, to be safe, I'll call it silver plated. All I know is - it is beautiful with an antique silver patina.

The beaded piece measures about 4 inches ( about 10 cm). It has extender chain, so it can be worn by some one with a small wrist of 5 inches as well as could be extended up to 8 inches.

The other metal components are lead free pewter with antique silver finish.

I made it with a with prayer that may the powers of pearl bring love and good luck to the wearer of this jewelry.

The inspiration came from an antique chandelier design that caught my eyes while I was watching an old Indian movie.

Here I have used Diamond shaped filigree earring component that is electroplated gold.

The beads are Czech glass cubes with the Aurora Borealis shine, and the spacers are vermeil. Tiny antique gold seed beads are added to the details.

The earring hook- french hook is made with hypo allergenic surgical steel in plated gold.

The length of the earring from the post is about 2 3/4 inches or almost 7cm. I have also attached a picture to give an idea about the length and width.

Knitted Galaxy - Necklace

The inspiration of this jewelry piece came when I went to visit the NASA museum near Washington D.C. last month. The models, mathematical illustrations and the stories of the galaxies brought a strange spiritual transcendental sensation in me.

The next morning I created my very first piece of knitted jewelry. The whole week was spent in creating more and more knitted pieces.

This particular necklace is made with 28 gauge silver wire and knitting needles, beaded with polished antique silver glass beads. I used Swarovski studded plated silver components to join the knitted part with the beaded string part.

The copper wire work in Adinkra symbols and language means - God is Supreme.

Soul of Somanya- Bravary and Valor -Earring

These earrings are made with the collaboration of the Soul of Somanya Project. Soul of Somanya is a small organization staffed entirely by volunteers.

They are located in Somanya- Krobo in Ghana's Eastern Region, where they are working to develop sustainable employment opportunities in the field of bead work for working-age orphans and other young people whose job prospects are very limited.

The black and white beads are Krobo beads. Krobo beads are made from recycled glass ground up by hand in a large mortal and pestle and then fired using traditional techniques in home made clay ovens. Then they are hand painted and fired again.

These decorative wire designs have special messages and meanings in Ghanian Adrinkra language. This particular design in Adrikra symbols means bravery and valor.

After I bought these materials one of the organizers wrote me- "...your first order will allow us to pay our entire staff od eight artisans a living wage for a whole day of work."

I added ox red colored ruby quartz and seed beads to complete the earrings. They are about 2 inches (5 cm) long.

The ear wires are made of silver wire.

Soul of Somanya - Adaptibilty and Grace under Hardship - Earring

This silver earring piece is made with the collaboration of the Soul of Somanya project. The wire work is done by the young, artisans of Somanya, a place near Ghana in Africa. Each wire design have a special message in Adinkra language. This particular one means adaptability and grace under hardship.

The black and white bead, called Krobo bead is recycled glass that is grinded by hand and then designed and kilned in home made fire pits.

Look at the beauty and simplicity of the beads and the craftsmanship of the wire work that is created by the work-age orphans of Africa.

I integrated them with ox red ruby quartz beads and tiny seed beads. The ruby quartz really complements the black and white design of the Krobo beads- that do not quite show in the pictures.

The length of the earrings are approximately 2 inches(5cm)

Purchasing the raw materials helped eight artisans' one whole day's worth of wage -commented the organizer of this project.

The Divine Eye( Herring bone wire work) pendant

The central bead is a cloisonne bead -24 k gold painted on black. I bought this special bead in Beijing, where I had the chance to observe how cloisonne beads are made in a factory.

The wire work, called the Herring bone pattern is a basket weaving technique borrowed from the old world. I had learned it from a free tutorial given by Eni Oken - my heartful thanks to her.

The other beads used are Swarovski Crystal bicones. The spacers are pewter with antique gold plate on them. The wire is gold filled.

This pendant will look charming with your gold filled chain, or a ribbon.

The inspiration of this necklace is also Yosemite.

I think of the full, voluptuous yet coy beauty of the Bridal Veil falls.

This necklace has the obsidian bead as the central bead, wrapped with sterling silver wire work with the Herring Bone style.

This is a special basket weaving style of the old world which I learned from Eni Oken.

The locket has five slate color fresh water pearls and swarovski bicone beads adorned with tiny sterling silver bead caps.

The chain is sterling silver too. Six similar pearls adorned with swarovski bicone beads dangle from the chain.
