This beautiful porcelain vessel makes a terrific wine chiller, vase, or utensil holder (for larger utensils). It is wheel thrown porcelain and is glazed with a base of Blue Pearl inside and out. Over the outside rim is a layer of Almond that causes the runs seen and the speckled appearance at the edge of the run and the original color. It is 9"high and 5" in diameter. For chilling wine, place the vessel in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Add some ice in the bottom, place the wine bottle in and there you go!

Do you ever forget to water your African Violets? I do. That’s why I began making this type of pot. It’s a double cylinder, thrown on the potter’s wheel in one piece. There are 6 holes in the center cylinder to allow water to get to the roots without watering from the top. This planter can also be used with other plants and the water will collect in the “saucer”. This vessel is approximately 6.25" in diameter in the center and 2.5" high. The base is approximately 8" in diameter and 1.5" high. The glaze is white with a pink flower and green leaves painted over it. Along with the planter I am selling, I have put in a picture to show how well it works. As always, I am happy to make special orders and can probably accommodate any color request. I make these in different sizes based on the diameter of the inner cylinder. Small is less than 4", medium is 4 to 6 inches and large is greater than 6 inches. The picture of my African Violet is a large pot.

I love to make double cylinders. This is my rendition of an Ice Cream and Cookie bowl. (Or if you prefer, a soup and cracker bowl.) The glazes are all food safe and the bowl is dishwasher safe. The inner bowl is 5" in diameter and 2.75" in height and can hold 16 ounces. The base is 8" in diameter and 1" high. I can make these in many different colors, or in different sizes since each is thrown individually on the wheel. I have done some in various school colors, (an example is Virginia Tech with the inside of the bowl orange and the outside and base maroon.). With certain glazes, I can personalize the bowl or put "Soup" on the outside of the bowl and "Crackers" on the outside of the base. (Or as I prefer, "Ice Cream" and "Cookies"!) This bowl is glazed in Carolina Blue on the outside and white on the inside.

This is the best kind of jellyfish! It’s fun to touch and it doesn’t sting. The jellyfish can hang outside and the “tentacles” do very well after a rain (they dry back to the way they were). My husband refers to it as a silent wind chime. The tentacles are made of yarn and there is a copper loop at the top for hanging. The cap measures 4" in diameter and the length of the jellyfish from the copper loop to the bottom of the yarn is 24.5". The glaze is Blue Lagoon. This makes a great decoration for a sunroom or a unique gift for a gardener. This must be brought inside during the winter if you are in an area where it freezes.

This decorative stoneware vessel contrasts the smooth top and handle with a textured body. The deep crevasses of the body were made by a technique called chattering. The body’s glaze is called Textured Cobalt: it breaks over the peaks of the vessel and the color changes to a golden brown as it pools in the valleys.
