Piper - Dressed for the Holidays 15 inch Waldorf Style All Natural Friendship Doll

Piper is a loving companion who would love a little boy or girl to cuddle and hug.

She has shoulder length Ash blond hair with brunette & white highlights made of merino wool. Her hair can be styled in various ways though currently she is wearing a side part to show off her highlights.

Piper is ready for the party in her 100% cotton blue flowered dress embellished with a white waist band and butterfly necklace. Just in case she gets tired she brings her beautiful matching quilt for the ride home. Piper's quilt is lovingly made and is a quilt in miniature. She is wearing white felted shoes embellished with a blue leaf pattern. Piper has light brown eyes a rosy mouth and blushing cheeks.

Piper's body and head are made of one piece, arms are the internal button jointed variety with stitched on legs. Piper is stuffed with carded wool that is sourced here in Maine from Peace Fleece and has hair that is made of merino wool. Her skin is golden in color and made of cotton tricot.

Waldorf dolls (also called Steiner dolls) are a form of doll used in Waldorf education. Made of natural materials, using techniques drawing on traditional European doll making, its appearance is intentionally simple in order to allow the child playing with it to engage in open play. MaDau Dolls are created in this tradition and the faces are embroidered simply so that the doll can reflect a range of emotions to the child in creative play, whether that be happy, sad, angry or somewhere in between. They are stuffed with wool so that the child's own body warmth will be given back to the child as though from a living being.

Piper is recommended for ages 3 and up as there are buttons and snaps which can present a choking hazard. Our dolls are created in a smoke-free, pet-free home.

Piper will be beautifully wrapped and shipped First Class Mail. MaDau Creations ships items on Mondays. Please allow 5-7 days to ship following our shipping days.

MaDau Creations was formed after Cat and Dodi began making handmade toys for Christmas for Cat’s two young children.

The process of creating these magical beings so enthralled the two women that they began making them for friends, family and donations to the local library raffle fund (a pet project of both women is the improvement of the library) and voila the Mother Daughter team was formed and MaDau Creations came into being.

MaDau Dolls are handcrafted with all natural materials and stitched with love. We create truly unique dolls using wool, cotton and silk. Each doll emerges from our tender care with a striking personality in the Waldorf tradition with patterns originating from Dancing Rain Dolls.

Our workshop is in Steep Falls, ME a sleepy little village on the East Coast of the United States.

This set includes Shirt with pearl snaps, drawstring pants, blanket and slippers (14" doll model,Piper, not included see Piper listing for the actual doll). The pants are pink and white plaid cotton flannel with a light pink ribbon drawstring. The shirt is a lovely abc pattern in pinks and purples on a white background in 100% cotton flannel with pearl snaps. The blanket is a lovely flower pattern flannel on the front and backed with a soft baby yellow flannel and tied with cotton floss. The slippers are upcycled from a 100% cotton terry cloth new yellow towel and have pink ribbon tie closures.

Phoebe the Fairy Princess is a 12 inch Waldorf Style doll and comes with all you see here!

Phoebe is a 12 inch beautiful purple fairy doll with a purple dress with wings, purple underwear, matching wand, and a gossamer bag which includes a fairy dust vial necklace, pot of body glitter for your little fairy princess and 2 dew drop magical stones and purple ribbon for Phoebe's hair.

Phoebe has ankle length purple hair made of a mix of mohair, and wool. Her hair is left down and styled in a side part and comes with a purple ribbon to style her hair however you like. In one of the picture is is up so you can see her wings better.

She is wearing a 100% cotton purple bodice attached to a purple nylon skirt speckled with silver and embellished with satin flowers. The dress closes with a velcro closure for easy on and off play. The wings are attached to her dress and stuffed with wool for shape and texture. Under her dress she is sporting matching 100% cotton panties. She is also wearing white felt ballet slippers embellished with purple ribbon flowers. She has bright blue/violet magic eyes and a skarlet mouth and plum colored cheeks.
