I have such respect for organics that no sprays have ever been used on my place for 38 years.

This plant of sage resides across from my front door so
I can see the wide span of green that I enjoy so much.

This has been harvested, air dried and hand sorted by me. The herb is fresher than those on the store shelves.

The bag size is 6" by 4". A little less than 1 oz. in weight.

The herb can be used as a nice tea or liquid as an uplifting scents for a facial massage.
It is said drunk with vinegar it was good for the plague, so remember that in case the plague returns. :)

Do not make the tea too strong as it may be harmful to those who are pregnant or high blood pressure. Use with love and respect.

For educational purposes only. I was given it with a bunch of her stuff when she died about 15 years ago.

I just found the card again; loved the idea then and still do today. I will do it in different media and each will be done as an individual piece of art.

Second picture was taken at dusk so it isn't as bright.

So here is the first.

5 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches
14 cm by 8.7 cm

Book Rose In Bloom by Louisa May Alcott copyrighted in 1927

It is about a girls trials in growing up into an admirable woman.

The book has the signature of previous owner inside, who was a person that I knew well. She was a woman that was raised on a dry homestead in California.

Toots Harlin was the woman who taught me to ride and to use the spade bit. We camped with our horses for one week at the Pinnacles Park in the short, old 2 horse trailer. It rained a lot that spring but it was an experience that I will never forget.

How her nice horse bucks with a quirt under her tail on a bridge and how the mare eats when laying down. How my gelding wanted to swim when we were wading in the lake,(I couldn't do anything about it).

All this comes to mind when I saw this signature, so I want to pass this along to the next owner of the book.

The paper cover is old and a tear is fixed with glue. The actual cover is in good condition but the edges are worn. The pages are all in good condition.

The first picture is more what the background color looks like. Varnished them to hold the paint.

I cut the gourd out into earring shapes. They are 1 1/4 inch (3.1 cm) in circumference.

I do hope you will enjoy them.

I cut the piece out by hand. He has been painted and then I inked in his personality. He isn't sweet at all, but kind of snarky.

The coloring is kind of on the yellow-orange side.
I changed the leather cord (pale white)to one that is darker brown and longer.

He is approximately 2 inches (5 cm) in circumference. The leather cord is about 26 inches (66 cm) long.

The top of the earring is gold colored bead cap and the chains are copper. Very attractive.

From the ear wire down, these earrings are a almost 3 1/2 inches ( 8.8 cm) in length.

Picture #5 isn't the best but with the breeze it was the best for now. It reminds me of walking through a deep forest and coming up on ferns that happen to be growing there.

The base is a really dark green with light green coming through. Two beads are attached to the brown cord and the cord is adjustable in length. 30” (78.2 cm) at the longest, 22” (58 cm) at the shortest.
Fiber Art ACEO original

$5.50
This crocheted piece was an experiment I do lots of things that are experimental, because I hate doing the same thing over and over. I admire the fortitude of those who can do so.
The best part of this aceo was that someone saw it and it reminded her to start crocheting again. She hadn't done it for so long and used to do the craft with her mom.

This ACEO is crocheted in green, red and black 100% mercerized crochet cotton. It has been an interesting task trying to get it the right size, adding here and there.

I then glued it onto watercolor paper and Mod Podged the whole piece.

An ACEO means art card editions and originals. They are very collectable or for gifts or framed on your wall. Use them as stocking stuffers. They now are very affordable.

It was difficult for the public to obtain these cards. You can now get these little pieces of art from artists from all over the world in all style of art work .

This piece is original art, on watercolor paper. It has been done in mixed media;
Signed and dated by me on the back.

The card is 3.5" x 2.5".
6.35 x 8.89 cm
It will be in a reclosable plastic bag.

Added on Nov 18, 2008

The challenge was to do something as a theme from the show Firefly, the episode was " Shindig" .

An ACEO means art card editions and originals. They are very collectable or for gifts or framed on your wall.

This piece is original art, on watercolor paper. It has been done in mixed media; this has a watercolor background, ink and a slight bit of marker.

Signed and dated by me on the back.
The card is 3.5" x 2.5".
8.89 x 6.35 cm

It will be in a reclosable plastic bag.

The dream catcher grabs hold of the good dreams and lets go of the troubling ones (so good in these times).

The handsome gourd is brown with scorched side, I have used some wood burning around the front edges.

It is painted black inside to help show off the widely differing beads on the dream catcher netting. It also has two gold colored metal feathers hanging down from the string.

The top of the gourd I inlay with turquoise chips. This makes the turquoise bead in the center of the dream catcher stand out.

So I changed it, that is something we can do as artists.

The leaf at the top is more green than yellow I couldn't get the color right on my puter.

The pendant has pale green at top and has colored flowers. You can even cover your nose in the most bitter weather and still have your neck completely wrapped.

The grey and the multicolors really will go with any garment. You might want to double the scarf or knot it. Several ways of wearing this makes it special. The yarn is made in Italy, so smile and think of yourself there when this elegant scarf is worn.

There is wool in it so take care in washing it unless you want felt. I would not want that with this nice piece..Smile.

65% acrylic
35% merino wool

A little less than 11 foot long, 3 inches wide.

THE CARE of the SCARF:
Wash by Hand in cold water. DO NOT wring or twist...do it gently like you treat a baby. Lay flat to air dry because it might stretch when hung wet. You can roll in a towel to take up the moisture.

I found out why when I got this wool.

This is fiber art using raw wool that is dyed. I have needle felted it upon a felt background. It is done by thousands of punches and is not very usual for an ACEO.

It was my fourth piece doing the felting and was indeed enjoyable to do. I was given some dyed raw wool by my daughter, BeadifulBaublesSC done by an etsy artist, yarntospin, and I hope to create more and different ACEOs with the various colors.

An ACEO means art card editions and originals. They are very collectable or for gifts or framed on your wall. They now are very affordable.

It was difficult for the public to obtain these cards. You can now get these little pieces of art from artists from all over the world in all style of art work . Frame them or trade them.

This piece is original art, using raw dyed wool.
Signed and dated by me on the back.

The card is 3.5" x 2.5".
6.35 x 8.89 cm
It will be in a reclosable plastic bag.
It didn’t work but I kept the piece forever anyway. Still don’t know much. I really enjoyed working at the winery and did some wine labels too. Good memories.

When I started to make this ACEO I found the paper and decided to do a collage .I cut parts and placed them around. Painted on the watercolor paper on the bottom. I then sprayed it with varnish. It is mixed media. There is a wrinkled vintage feel and the bottle is dated 1989.

An ACEO means art card editions and originals. They are very collectable or for gifts or framed on your wall. They now are very affordable.

It was difficult for the public to obtain these cards. Now we mostly use them in jewelry.

This is an example of the beauty I was talking of, a white Agate. The stone has some translucent qualities that will pick up anything worn under it. I felt compelled to buy the stone and made a necklace using its loveliness.

A silver toned chain is used in the making of this necklace.

Length of chain is 21" (53.3cm) long. The white Agate hangs down from the chain about 3" (7.6 cm).

The birthstone of August. I added glass for its sparkle and feathers for their softness.

One inch (2.5 cm) wide.

May these dream catchers catch the good dreams for you and let the bad ones escape through the holes.

They are my favorite among the semi precious stones. The fact that they are a warrior's stone helps.
The warriors wore it on themselves or on their shields, trusting that they were protected from arrows and spears.

I trust that this information gives a lot of people hope that they will receive protection in these harsh times. Just watch you get the look of appreciation; the beauty really is amazing. A great way to recycle.

The peach was good and I threw what was left to my chickens. I was outside one day raking and really noticed how pretty this remains was and took it in with admiration.

I cleaned, filed, drilled, rubbed it with red paint creme and classic gold creme. Then I shook glitter on and sprayed it with varnish. The glitter is held tight by the varnish. Put it on with a gold colored chain and wrapped the pit with gold colored wire.

The chain is 20 inches (57 cm) long and the pendant is hanging 2 inches down (5 cm)and is more than 1 inch wide (2.5 cm)

They just get soooo brown with the lack of rain.
The brown of the Jasper fits into the picture just fine.

This Paso Robles Oak tree is reminding me of autumn breezes, just a bit windy and not yet too cold. This is a tree of life for it gives us air, shade, food and heat.

A mixture of brown stones, light and dark, are for the representation of leaves.

All is silver colored wire so you will have the feeling of elegance and not the expense. It creates lots of positive comments by others when worn, I am told.

About 1 3/4 inches (4.4 cm)in diameter.

The Paso Robles Oak trees are just that. They are used by many animals and birds and humans for food. I am so admiring these useful trees.

Almost all hear about the Native Americans in CA. carrying baskets full of acorns around to the holes in the stones or rocks that were used as mortars and pestles.

I met a Korean who was boiling down the acorns for the starch that was a part of her diet. She said most Koreans do that.
Who knew?
I learned a lot about the process and the paste tasted well enough, however was a good source of protein.

Here is another pendant that is attached to a nice chain with a magnet for the clasp. It has many colorful stone chips.

It is added to with wire wrap to a silver colored earring 1 1/2 inches (3.2 cm) wide. It hangs almost 21 inches (53.4 cm) long.

Most tables look so gracious holding flowers. I don't mind doing a long gourd because it is so handy holding whole fruit or dried flowers.(not waterproof).

Nice for Thanksgiving with small decorative gourds inside.

I opened it up with a knife and cleaned it myself. Let the gourd "talk to me" for a few days, then knew what should be done with it. I oversprayed it with tan paint and then Hand painted each flower.

Tan gourd painted with acrylic and it has a jagged cut that opens the inside. Sprayed inside with varnish.

23 1/2 inches long (58.6 cm)
6 inches wide (15.2 cm)
5 1/2 inches high (14 cm) All sizes are approximate

I have needle felted it upon a felt background. It is done by thousands of punches and is not very usual for an ACEO.

It was my third piece doing the felting and was indeed enjoyable to do. I was given some dyed raw wool by my daughter, BeadifulBaublesSC done by an etsy artist, yarntospin, and I hope with the various colors to create more and different ACEOs.

An ACEO means art card editions and originals. They are very collectable or for gifts or framed on your wall. They now are very affordable.

It was difficult for the public to obtain these cards. You can now get these little pieces of art from artists from all over the world in all style of art work . I love flowers they are so beautiful and useful to all of us for their aroma, eating and medicinal properties.

The chain is copper. I believe copper is the right metal for my gourd pieces, they go together better.

The flower is 1 1/16 inches (2.8cm) wide and the chain is 20 1/2 inches (52 cm) long.
