The 40s utilitarian wartime look as interpreted by the 80s. Its fierce! Buttons from the waist up. There is a detachable sash at the waist that can be tied according to your preference. Wide sleeves and dropped shoulder seams. So many wonderful details: the long front seams, kick pleats in the back and along the hem, and fine pleats at the wrist. Zips up the side from the hip. A really great dress, in a rich olive green hue. While it looks like it fits our model perfectly, please note that the waist and hips were pinned for the photos.

This fall and winter velvet minis are in. And so are bustier dresses. Get both trends in one classy dress. This black velvet is soooo soft and lush. The shoulders are slightly puffy, ruched style sleeves that have a slight stretch to them taper at the wrist. Sweetheart, darted bustline. Tapers slightly at the waist to accent your waistline. Beautiful stitching detail at the hips (that is hard to see in the photo because of the black). Fully lined (except for the sleeves); zips up the back. This is as beautiful, well made, quality dress.

The dress is almost perfect except for a small section near the thigh (about 1 inch) where the groove of the fabric is a little different like it was brushed or rubbed. There is no discoloration and will not be visible when wearing out on the town. Its minimal and I am only mention in the interest of full disclosure. As a rule, I never list anything I wouldn't wear myself.

This circa 1960 - 1970 hostess gown has a soft, long sleeved black bodice that buttons at the wrist and a silky, sweeping, quilted floor length skirt in a chocolate brown and white gingham print. A beautiful, big red sash bow at the waist makes the gown perfection. This would make a perfect holiday party dress. Stand out in the crowd of cliche dresses. In MINT condition.

What is a hostess gown? The hostess gown appeared to be a cross between a robe and an evening dress, which the hostess would wear to serve her guests. It combined both the formality of the evening dress and the relaxed "at home" feel of a robe.

This is a very early 80s draped party gown with rhinestone details. Its boasts a party bow design in rhinestone studs that shine like you would not believe; the photos do not do it justice! The neckline and shoulders are also trimmed in rhinestones. A line sweep that grazes the floor. Truly elegant. The perfect holiday dress! It is in near mint condition with one flaw: there is a small area of approximately 1.5 inches that is missing the rhinestones on the shoulder strap (see the photos).

The earrings have beautiful blue poured glass that sits flush against the metal. The frame work of the earrings is sleek and sophisticated and can be worn any time as they are versatile. Of course, it has the YSL signature on the back and are well-constructed and extremely high quality.

The earrings are 1 3/8” by 1 3/8” square. There is some very minor chipping of the goldtone at the edges that can be seen in the photos. But keep in mind the photo is magnified many times over and in person the chipping is barely visible. These are a wonderful addition to any vintage jewelry collection.

Breathtaking. There is no label but reminds me of a Paganne by Gene Berk dress. Could very well be! Fabric is a flowing, shimmery poly jersey dark purple, varying shads of orange, set on a cream background. Mandarin collar, faux buttons up the front. The belt is fitted with a gold (removable)two dragon buckle!

The skirt sleeks and flatters, with a sexy high side slit. Darted bust; hidden back zipper. The theme of the dress is very Asian to me.

Va-voom! This skirt is SEX-Y! Straight out of the 80s. Genuine leather, with wonderful, detailed stitching in the front and back. This is a high waist; the skirt will sit over or your belly button. Zips up the back and snaps at the waist. Back split.

The tag says size 5/6 but it is slightly baggy on our model who normally wears a small/medium. Would look even better on someone with fuller hips and bottom. In excellent condition.

I generally don't carry furs but this one was from a family member and while I don't wear furs myself, I think it is absolutely stunning and it doesn't do anyone any good sitting in the closet. I believe this to be pony. Ultra sheen pony fur has natural moire markings, a sign of higher grade fur. Dramatic cropped 40's/very early 50s boxy cut coat has a shawl style collar. Pleating in the front begins at the front shoulders and falls into long, draped vertical pockets. Wide cuffed bells sleeves and a black satin lining that is fully intact. Closes with two hooks. The previous owners initials are stitched inside the coat: DGD

The coat is in superb condition and was probably only worn a handful of times as it shows almost no signs of wear. There is VERY mild balding at the shoulders which is probably from hanging for so long. But again, this is minimal and does not take away from the beauty of the coat. It is very rare to find a coat this old in such fabulous shape. It is black, shiny, and vibrant. There is no odor, staining, or tears. Very elegant.
