One side is pieced with multicolor batiks; the other is white whole cloth with quilted rainbows of varigated thread.

$400.00
A Community Stole is a unique way of showing love and support for the recipient. Each member of a family or congregation contributes a 1/4 yard piece of fabric in the chosen liturgical color. Gloria! uses these fabrics to create a one-of-a-kind stole.

Each Community Stole comes with a memory book. The fabrics are mounted alongside the names of the people who chose them. Space is reserved on the pages so the gift-givers my indicate why they chose the fabric they did and to write words of congratulations or encouragement.

There are currently 4 design options for Community Stoles:

* White Doves
* Blue Stars
* Green Leaves
* Red Flames (Shown in listing)

this stole was created for my Mom at her Ordination in June of 2007. the finished look of your custom stole will depend upon the variety and types of the fabrics chosen by your community.

the last image is of a community stole made in April of 2009

$200.00
If our lives are journeys, the three vertical stripes in this stole are representative of the Triune God (as any catechism student will tell you) who travels with us and guides us along the way. Christ is with us and gives redemption for our past, comfort and guidance for our present, and hope for our future. "I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

This stole is purple for Lent and Advent in some denominations. It has the three stripes for the Journey on one side with a gorgeous Lenten batik on the reverse.

Camp Victor Stole

$200.00
In liturgy, water is a symbol for rebirth. We often forget that to be reborn we must first die. The people of the Gulf Coast are reminded of this daily as they work to rebuild after the devestation of Hurricane Katrina. The good folks at Camp Victor in Ocean Springs, MS, are still providing relief and assistance for rebuilding every day.

The colors of this stole are the colors of the Mississippi Gulf Coast (where Camp Victor is located). Many of the batiks have fish and other sea life dyed right into the fabric. The most beautiful thing about this stole is that 20% of the proceeds will be donated to Camp Victor.
