Raven Nevermore Bowl Edgar Allen Poe

$24.00
Alright, you caught me! I have a fascination for all things dark, gloomy, and gothic, much like the work of Mister Poe himself. So what could be more perfect than combining my love of art with my dark side? These are a blast to make, and they look so cool!

The interior glaze is a very stable black gloss liner glaze, and the exterior is covered in a clear crackle glaze that will crackle more over time, giving a very antique, artistic effect to the piece. All my pottery is tested to be food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.

This particular bowl measures 6" in diameter and 2 3/4" in height. Rice? Serving dish? Big soup bowl? Cereal? Fruit? Display? It's up to you!!

Thrown from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, stamped, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln

Nosferatu Pint Glass Tumbler

$26.00
I wrote my master's thesis over Nosferatu, the 1922 horror classic by Murnau. So obviously when I started putting images like ravens and monsters onto my pottery, I immediately thought of the Count himself. I was lucky enough to get ahold of this stamp awhile back, and now he has arisen!

Of course, the first few Nosferatu pieces went directly into my own kitchen. Now I'm making them available to you!

This tumbler stands at just over 5" tall, and 3 1/2" wide, it's the perfect size for a nice refreshing drink. Also would work for other, ahem, stronger beverages.

The interior glaze is a very stable black gloss liner glaze, and the exterior is covered in a clear crackle glaze that will crackle more over time, giving a very antique, artistic effect to the piece. All my pottery is tested to be food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.

Thrown from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, stamped, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln
How does that work? I have no idea, but here she is.

This is a series I worked on over the summer, spending numerous hours on exacting detail. Medusa here has 13 unique snakes, and even little dainty fangs! The interior, and the snakes, are glazed in a clear celadon green, her lips and the snake heads are in ruby red, and her face is in a clear crackle, giving her an icy-pale visage. She's 3" tall and 3" wide, not including the snakes!

WASH BY HAND! This piece has many delicate parts. They won't break off easily, but care must be taken in order for it to last!

Thrown from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, hand altered & painted, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.
Mmmpmmf.
Sorry, his mouth is all wrapped up, I can't really understand what he's saying. Well, he IS a mummy, what did you expect!?!?!

This is a series I worked on over the summer, spending numerous hours on exacting detail. The mummy is completely wrapped up, with only his eyes sticking out (it wouldn't do for the mummy to spend the whole movie running into walls and chasing nothing!) His eyes are black, but the rest of him is glazed in an antique white. He's 3" tall and 3" wide.

All glazes used are food, microwave and dishwasher safe, though they will last longer if you treat them with care and wash by hand!

Thrown from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, hand altered & painted, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.
It's a great image, perfect for any fan of Wonderland.

The interior glaze is a matte purple called Amethyst, and it drips along the rim of the outside and the handle- a very fun effect! Frankie is also in the same amber-brown, and his little skully friend is in a satin-white that has a texture almost like real bone!

All glazes used are food, microwave and dishwasher safe, though they will last longer if you treat them with care and wash by hand!

The decanter stands 7" tall, and holds 16oz of your choice of liquid. The cups hold about 6 ounces.

Thrown from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, hand altered & painted, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.

I'm not sure what they are, some sort of little sea-creatures, but I know they are CUTE!! Big huuuuge eyes, those flipper-arms... you just want to take them home to love :)

This is a series I worked on over the summer, spending numerous hours on exacting detail. The decanter is glazed in a clear crackle on the exterior, over which drips the mediterranean blue of the interior. The two creatures (whoops, cups) are also glazed in blue, one in the same warm-waters blue of the decanter, and the other in a slightly deeper blue that invokes cooler waters.

All glazes used are food, microwave and dishwasher safe, though they will last longer if you treat them with care and wash by hand!

The decanter stands 7" tall, and holds 16oz of your choice of liquid. Then I layer on different colors of slip, and once it dries to leatherhard I hand carve patterns, like swirls, flowers and vines, into the little bowls. I take a lot of inspiration for my carvings from my work in henna (mehendi).

This individual bowl has green and pink slips layered, the pink carved through in the shape of a lotus, with swirling vines, to show the green underneath. A gorgeous combination!

Use them for dip bowls, tea bag holders, ring holders, pinching bits of spices (salt and pepper!), anything you can think of!

They measure about 2 1/2 inches wide and around 1" tall.

Handmade from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, carved, clear glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. Foodsafe, microwave and dishwasher safe. Handwashing always makes pottery last longer, though!

I think it's a great message, and would be excellent to take your coffee (tea, juice, cocoa) in on those early mornings.

Glazed in Brilliant Sunset on the interior, and a clear crackle on the exterior, this mug is 5" tall and 3 1/2" wide at the rim.

Thrown from delicate Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, stamped, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.

With some nice, scalloped edges that reminded me of waves, so I glazed it in a sea-blue glaze. The plate itself is 10" wide, and a bit over 1" tall, glazed in a teal-blue called Peacock. Nosferatu is on the move, from your kitchen to your bathroom! This soap dish (though you don't have to use it just as a soap dish!) is handbuilt and features the full image of the vampyre, with the announcement of "Nosferatu!" above him.

The glaze on is a clear crackle glaze that gives an antique, old look to the piece (fitting, for a vampire). Along the edges runs a black glaze to frame him.

Measures 5" by 3".

This would make the PERFECT gift for any vampire or film noir fan for these upcoming holidays, or just a great piece for your own home.
Nosferatu Magnet Set- 3pcs

$15.00
A fun and gothic addition to your fridge, filing cabinet, or whiteboard (which is where mine are!), these magnets feature the star of the original vampire film, Murnau's 1922 German Expressionist masterpiece "Nosferatu."

Two magnets feature the count's upper body, while the third is centered on his clawed hands. Over bone-white porcelain, the black stamps stand out starkly. They are covered in a clear, crackled glaze that gives them an antique, ancient look.

Large round magnet measures 2" round, and the square 2" square. The claw magnet is smaller, at 1 3/4". All in all, a great collection. The magnets are secured to the back with a super-strong epoxy, and each will hold up a good stack of papers (I prefer strong magnets to those weak kind that won't hold a picture).

Handmade from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, stamped, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.

So obviously when I started putting images like ravens and monsters onto my pottery, I immediately thought of the Count himself. I was lucky enough to get ahold of this stamp awhile back, and now he has arisen!

This series of pendants feature pieces of the notorious vampyre- his visage with the trademark ghoulish features, or his animal-like claws. Included is a 16" black lace chain so you will be ready to go with this unique fashion statement!

One pendant, 1 1/4" round, with black lace chain and attached bail. Pictured is Nosferatu's batlike face, suitably creepy.

Handmade from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, stamped, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.

$95.00
Come down, down into the deep, deep blue of the ocean's depths...

Check out this matching set of an octopus-like cup, a skeleton-skull cup, and a matching blue-white decanter.

This is a series I worked on over the summer, spending numerous hours on exacting detail. The decanter is glazed in a clear crackle on the exterior, over which drips the deep, dark blue that overflows the interior. The tentacled cup is glazed in a matching deep blue, and the skull is done in a satin white (it feels like a real skull!) that has a blush of blue on one side, from spending so much time around his leggy friend.

**The octopus appears to have had a run-in with a Kraken or some other deep-sea creature, as one of his tentacles is missing and scarred, as seen in the last photo. This accounts for a discount on the set!**

I've been working with slips and carving, which both suit perfectly to these little bowls.

They start as a flat slab, cut into circles and are hand formed onto hand-made mold. Then I layer on different colors of slip, and once it dries to leatherhard I hand carve patterns, like swirls, flowers and vines, into the little bowls. I take a lot of inspiration for my carvings from my work in henna (mehendi).

This pair of bowls has a deep black slip into which I carved a swirling bloomed chrysanthemum, and covered with a clear glaze.

$18.00
New item!

This pair of bowls has a deep pink slip into which I carved multiple cherry blossoms overlapping.

Mermaid Sake Set w/ octopus cup

$95.00
This little mermaid has a friend! She slowly swims down, winding her way around the decanter, her red hair flowing in curls up behind her, propelled by her long, sinuous green tail. Her friend, the octopus, follows her loyally.

This is a series I worked on over the summer, spending numerous hours on exacting detail. The decanter is glazed in a clear crackle over the green and red-pink of the mermaid, and the green of her tail is echoed in the green interior glaze. The octopus cup stands tall on his tentacles, glazed in Moonscape, a grey-blue glaze with hints of purple and red.

All glazes used are food, microwave and dishwasher safe, though they will last longer if you treat them with care and wash by hand!

The decanter stands 7" tall, and holds 16oz of your choice of liquid. The cup, with legs, is 3 1/2 inches tall and holds about 4 ounces.

Thrown from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, hand altered & painted, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.

I just got a batch of Alice in Wonderland stamps to add to my collection, and I have been going crazy with them!

This bowl has the image of the Mad Hatter on one side, and the phrase "A very merry unbirthday to you!" on the opposite, with two stripy teapots to mark the sides inbetween. Another teapot graces you from the interior bottom.

The interior glaze is a clear teal-blue glaze called Peacock. The exterior is a clear crackle that highlights the stamps below.

Stands at 8" wide and 3 1/2" tall, just right for serving up a nice big dish of pasta, veggies, or biscuits to go with your tea!

Thrown from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, stamped, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.

Nosferatu Sake Set with tray

$90.00
Oooooh! Nosferatu is moving up in the world, from cups and mugs to sake sets! This set is made from smooth white porcelain, each piece hand-made on the potter's wheel, bisque fired, then stamped with the image of the Count in the case of the decanter.

The exterior glaze on the decanter is a clear crackle glaze that gives an antique, old look to the piece (fitting, for a vampire). The interior glaze, also featured on the cups, is a solid black glossy glaze. The tray is done with crackle in the center and black along the outside.

The decanter stands at 7" tall and holds 16 oz of your favorite liquid. Each of the cups stands at 3" tall and the tray measures 7 1/2" across and just under an inch and a half tall.

This would make the PERFECT gift for any vampire or film noir fan for these upcoming holidays, or just a great piece for your own home. It's completely functional, food safe, microwave and dishwasher safe (although the glaze will hold up to time better if you hand wash).

Handmade from Flint Hills, Kansas porcelain, stamped, glazed and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.
