Preparation:
To create this beautiful piece I had to hunt down the perfect cami and skirt combo. Once I saw the elegant black sheen of the skirt and feminine cut of the top I was sold. To create this one-of-a-kind sweatshirt dress, I had to hunt down the perfect men's sweater. Looking for color and fabric quality, I stumbled across this gem. After cutting off the sleeves and seams, I resewed them to have a more feminine edge. The final touch was adding the multi-colored bib and buttons. Wallah! Instant comfort glamor!

Preparation:
I love finding brightly patterned pillowcases at my local thrift store. Normally I use these finds to create flirty high waisted skirts, but sometimes I'm lucky to have a little of the fabric left over to create one of these adorable accessories. To create this piece I constructed a flower from the fabric scrap, added a button and locally sourced pin, and glued on a cute piece of felt to keep it snug.

Who doesn't love a soft cotton tee shirt with a modern fit? Upcycled from a men's thrift store tee, this top was handmade with four sweet pleats down the waist and a cotton belt that allows you to cinch it as tight as you like. Wear it with leggings and slouchy boots, or with your favorite pair of skinny jeans for all day style and comfort.

Preparation:
To create this unique top I trimmed the sleeves to have a V shaped flow and scooped out the collar to make an elegant boat neck. I left these edges raw and added a slim cotton belt that could be used to accentuate the waistline. All the tunic needed after that was four pleats down the center, and it was done!

Preparation:
When constructing one of these fractured tees, I look for quality of material, color, and print. I like the images on the tees to compliment one another without being too busy. So once I find the perfect combo, I slice and dice, then sew the chunks together...creating a unique one-of-a-kind piece.

Preparation:
When making this new design I knew that I wanted to create something for the cool temps that would add a punch while still being comfortable. So I found a long sleeved men's top and tailored it to fit a smaller frame. Then I cut out a yoke from a navy tee and replaced the top's collar, adding some ruffles along the edge. To top it off I added three mismatched buttons near the shoulder.

Preparation:
This feminine hand crafted piece was created from a salvaged men's tee shirt, giving it a vivid color and eco touch. I cut out extended strips of fabric, stretched them, and sewed them together to form a cascading fall of cotton. I took two fatter strips and created a tie for the back of the necklace. Then, I bunched up the extra material into a feminine flower and crowned it with a button. A new design is now born!

I had the idea of screenprinting men's tees some time ago, but didn't really begin my experimentation until an art party my husband and I hosted last month. I wanted to combine a classic style with an organic but somewhat punk look. So with my hubby's help I created a silkscreen of this amazing illustration he did, and then printed it. It created the exact aesthetic I was looking for!

I just love bright saturated colors! That's why when I spotted this vintage cardigan at the local thrift shop I knew I'd have to give it a new leg on life! So I cut straight down the center and hemmed the edges. Next I cut a out a screenprint from some fabric scraps to create two unique appliques, one at the bust, and one at the hip.

After sifting through hundreds of men's tops at my local thrift store, I finally found two whose colors and textures matched. After cutting and sewing together the basic dress, I then added some punky striped fabric to the neckline to create a retro inspired collar.

When I found the men's tee at my local Salvation Army, I instantly knew that I would want to transform it into a dress. All I needed was a top that would compliment the high contrast of the black fabric and white print. So I scoured the store until I found this sweet and stretchy blue tank. Once home I cut the two pieces to the correct sizes, shapes, and lengths, and sewed them together. To finish the piece off I added a lil' black ruffle to the top.

I adore vintage cotton dresses as much as the next gal. But shoulder pads, gratuitous length and a shapeless cut are not attractive. That's why I couldn't resist transforming this dress into a modern frock that could be worn year round for any occasion!

Preparation:
To give this dress a new breath of life, I shortened the sleeves and left the sweet puff at the shoulders. Next I cut off 10 inches of hemline, trimmed it, and then sewed it back to the bottom to create a feminine shape. Lastly, I removed an extra flap of fabric that was concealing the adorable buttons that run down the chest.

I have to make a confession off the get go. I made this dress over a month ago, and am just now listing it because at first I couldn't bear with the idea of letting it go! This beautiful handmade piece was constructed from a vintage women's camisole, and a men's dress shirt, creating a truly unique and memorable frock that's perfect for an occasion.

Preparation:
When designing these dresses I look for unity in color and texture. First I have to find the perfect pieces with which to upcycle. Once those are found, I cut off the sleeves and collar from the men's shirt and sew it into an A-Line cut. Than, I attach the women's camisole after shortening its length.

To create this unique piece, I first had to find the perfect materials. Scouring my local thrift shop, I stumbled upon a men's cotton tee that had a luxuriously soft feel. Then I scored some vintage gray curtains. All I needed to do after hunting down the ingredients was to cut and sew the tee into a feminine tunic shape, and add some of the curtain fabric as sleeves.

Preparation:
To create this unique piece I reworked one of my husband's band's tees with some cutting, slicing, and dicing. I trimmed off the sleeves and created a raw but elegant boatneck. To add a touch of whimsy I made some ruffles out of the sleeve fabric and sewed them across the chest, creating a fractured look to the screenprint.

Preparation:
When designing this skirt I wanted to create a classic vintage shape with a modern spin. So after picking out two colors that would pop, I cut out a traditional pencil skirt shape and sewed in a comfortable elastic. To top it off I designed some organic petal shapes to applique across the front.

Preparation:
When constructing one of these fractured tees, I look for quality of the material, color, and prints. I like the images on the tees to compliment one another without being too bust. So once I find the perfect combo, I slice and dice, then sew the chunks together...creating a unique one-of-a-kind piece.

Preparation:
There's nothing quite as soft as the fabric from a cotton turtleneck. They have a great feel and a slight stretch that makes them flattering and comfortable. The one thing that always got me is the tight high collar line...so for this piece I cut it off creating an elegant boat neck instead. I also reworked the sleeves to have a slightly gathered effect at the cuff, and appliqued two layers of fabric and buttons to the neckline.

Preparation:
It was the print of this bright blue fabric that caught my eye! Up close it looks like black birthday cake sprinkles littered with little pyramids. I had to make the material into something more urban chic, so I cut it to the right length and stitched on some elastic and hemmed the bottom. I left the pleats intact so it would have some movement when worn. All in all in turned out to be more than I could have imagined!

To create this one-of-a-kind jumper, all I needed was the perfect tee. After cutting off the sleeves and neckline, I stitched the sides into a skirt pattern. Then, using the fabric from the sleeves, I added fabric to the waist and straps for the shoulders. To top it off I added a cute little pocket and heart applique to the front.

To create this unique piece I cut up a super soft men's tee that I found at my local Village Thrift. Slicing at various angles, I wanted to create a layered and somewhat avante garde look with this piece. After sewing the pieces to the sweet embroidered elastic waistband, I ironed it out, and it was done!
