The story behind the carol "I Saw Three Ships" has several meanings. One, the most common, is that the three ships represents the Trinity. Another is that they represent Joseph, Mary, and Jesus. But a third, and my particular favorite, is a legend that says ships bearing gifts for Jesus on the night of his birth came sailing into landlocked Bethlehem. This is my scent interpretation of that legend, that of an ancient ship bearing gifts of resins and spices, sailing into a harbor that didn't exist before.

Frankinsense, myrrh, black pepper, rosemary, sage, pine, sandalwood, salt air, ocean water, and sand.
