Snuggle Herd ready-to-color greeting cards are perfect for the creative kid (or adult) in your life! They’re totally customizable - color, collage, stamp, sticker or draw on them to your heart’s delight, then add your own message (all cards are blank inside). Imagine the possibilities! The last photo shows a couple of examples done with Prismacolor pencils.

Our cards measure 4.25" x 5.5" (10.8cm x 13.97cm). They feature original illustrations by Beth Hempton, the designer behind The Snuggle Herd. They're inkjet-printed on medium weight cardstock, which is suitable for all kinds of colored pencils, crayons, pens, markers, stickers and light applications of glue. The paper is not suitable for watercolors, but will hold up under most other art materials.

This little blue romper has been appliquéd with an adorable elephant made of a t-shirt remnant and a cute print with concentric circles used for the ear. I fuse each layer of the design onto the garment, then machine-stitch around the entire perimeter. Keeps looking great wash after wash! I have embroidered the face details for a unique look.

The actual item you receive may not have this same green/white striped fabric used for the face (my supply of it is limited), but I assure you whatever t-shirt remnant I use will look just as cute! The ear fabric on the item you receive will be the same circles print shown here.

*** Sizing Note ***
The clothing blanks that I use are 100% cotton and shrink an average of one size when they are machine-dried. I pre-wash & dry all clothing before adding the appliqués, which means that it has shrunk to a smaller size than what the garment is labeled.

-Garment labeled 6-12 mos. fits like a size 3-6 mos.

Lyle the Lion earth friendly upcycled stuffed toy softie in orange

Lyle's body is made from a light orange t-shirt. He has a wild mane & twisty tail made from a dark orange t-shirt. Lyle's handsome face is hand-stitched with embroidery floss {no choking hazards!}. He is approximately 6 in. tall & 8.5 in. wide (15.24 cm. x 21.59 cm.).

Animals' manes are cut from the seam allowances of t-shirts; fabric scraps become the spots or tail of a giraffe or colorful ears on an elephant. These toys are earth-friendly inside & out. They are stuffed with shredded wool fiber reclaimed from unwanted sweaters.

The clothing blanks that I use are 100% cotton and shrink an average of one size when they are machine-dried. I pre-wash & dry all clothing before adding the appliqués, which means that it has shrunk to a smaller size than what the garment is labeled.

Snuggle Herd ready-to-color greeting cards are perfect for the creative kid (or adult) in your life! They’re totally customizable - color, collage, stamp, sticker or draw on them to your heart’s delight, then add your own message (all cards are blank inside). Imagine the possibilities! The last photo shows a couple of examples done with Prismacolor pencils.

Our cards measure 4.25" x 5.5" (10.8cm x 13.97cm). They feature original illustrations by Beth Hempton, the designer behind The Snuggle Herd. They're inkjet-printed on medium weight cardstock, which is suitable for all kinds of colored pencils, crayons, pens, markers, stickers and light applications of glue. The paper is not suitable for watercolors, but will hold up under most other art materials.

The Snuggle Herd is committed to being green! Our greeting cards and envelopes are made of recycled/recyclable paper. Bundled cards are tied with reused/repurposed ribbons. We use refilled printer ink cartridges to prevent plastic waste.

Blue Pillow Cover with Lion applique

This fun, navy blue pillow cover features Lyle the Lion relaxing in the grass. Lyle is made of copper satin remnants (from a former couture dress-maker - fancy!) and has a bright orange mane made of t-shirt scrap that really stands out on the blue background. His cute tail is made of a twisted scrap of t-shirt fabric, giving it some dimension. The tall blades of grass have a mod leaf print. This would look great in a kid's bedroom or playroom.

*Listing is for the cover only* - pillow form is not included. The cover measures 14.5" x 14.5" at its widest points (it's tapered in at the corners for a better fit). It's made for a 14" square pillow, which is widely available at craft stores.

I make my pillow covers to last and to withstand machine-washing. Each layer of the design is fused onto the cotton cover, then machine-stitched around the entire perimeter. Keeps looking great wash after wash! Satin fabrics will take on a "weathered" look after a few trips through the washing machine, but this only adds to the pillow's charm. I embroider the face details by hand for a unique look. My pillow covers are made with simple overlap enclosures on the back for easy pillow removal.
