I designed a dining room table recently and decided to make taper candle holders to complement the clean, architectural style of the table legs, which were made with steel tubing.

These elegant candle holders come in a pair (candles not included). The bottoms of the candle holders are lined with felt so they will not scratch the surface on which they are placed. They are also available in a taller 14 inch height.

Fish Basket

One day in my studio, I was working on some leftover pieces of perforated steel. I bent one piece by hand to throw it in the scrap pile and wound up with the shape of a fish minus its tail. I decided to keep it and give it a tail.

The fish basket is perfect for odds and ends, knick knacks, potpourri -- anything you can think of except food. This basket is for decorative use only -- it is not food safe.

Perforated steel with ball bearing feet and a gloss yellow finish. One of a kind.

Gramercy Purse Hook

I originally designed this purse hook for Gramercy Tavern restaurant in New York City.

The Gramercy Purse Hook is made from cold rolled steel and cork, with an antique copper patina. The cork that I use comes from laboratory test tubes. There's also a thin layer of cork on the bottom so it doesn't slip off the table. The purse hook is very sturdy and can easily hold a large and heavy bag.

The Gramercy Purse Hook is 4 1/4" L x 1 1/4" W x 2 1/4" D and weighs about 8 oz.

Each purse hook comes with its own black velour drawstring pouch.

Sleek and architectural in design, this purse hook is made from cold rolled steel with a high gloss brushed finish. It has a leather top and bottom. The leather on the bottom keeps the purse hook from sliding. The purse hook is very sturdy and can easily hold a large and heavy bag.

I burn incense in my studio because my wife complains that I reek of steel when I come home. I had been placing incense sticks in my bench vice, but decided that I deserved an incense holder. Ergo, the Angle Iron Incense Holder. I had some angle iron and flat bar on my work table and just came up with this design.

Il Bambino Votives

I designed these votives for Il Bambino in Astoria. I've done a couple of things for this restaurant -- a bench and a sign/window guard -- and Darren, the owner, asked me to create some votives.

The base of the votive is cut from 3" square tubing. I use brazing rods that I randomly bend and cut by hand.

Measurements: 3"x3"x4-5"

Each votive is slightly different due to the random sizing and placing of the brazing rods.

Votive candle not included.

The votives look like they are made out of copper, but they are actually made from welding rods. No two are alike.

Rusted Angle Iron Votive

I originally designed this votive several years ago for the restaurant Landmarc in NYC, and I've making them ever since.

Each votive is different because they are all hand cut. A rust patina is applied for the finish.

Sandstone Patina Flower Vases

I sometimes find inspiration for new pieces from scraps left behind from other projects. After working on some of my tractor seat bar stools, I took some of the square tubing and cut and sculpted them into flower vases. I cut rectangular shapes out of the corners to add a sculptural element.

Flowers can be arranged to appear out of the tops or through the holes in the sides. Round plastic inserts inside the vases hold water.

These vases are available in the following sizes:
