It is made of Japanese cedar (which keeps the bugs out) and is completely lined in tin to keep things fresh. The boxes were used to transport tea from distributors to the tea shops. These decorated boxes can be used for anything from Jewelry, CD’s, DVD’s, to hold those Special Memories and even Tea. They are a great conversation piece also. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;These are handcrafted by me and the fabric is silk obi from Japan. These boxes are great for a housewarming gift, graduation gift, a friends birthday, holiday gift or even for you to enjoy&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the last picture is what it looks like before I add padding, fabric,cording and ribbon.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Measurement is 13 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 10 1/2.
