This charming little watercolor was painted on Juist Island in the North Sea one October when I was there as a chaperone with my grandson's 8th grade class. During the day I had plenty of time to paint to my heart's content. Here is one of the landscapes from that trip.

The colors in October are pale, washed-out, sort of grayish. Not like in the summer when they are more vivid. Hence this view reflects the coolness of the season.

15 x 23cm without the mat, 20 x 30cm with the mat. 200g Toscana watercolor paper, Lukas watercolor paint.
