I wove the fabric for this cape from lovely, soft wool yarns of several colors, ranging from blue, burgundy, to purple. The effect is a visual medly of color and texture. It is a garment that is surprisingly light in weight yet warm. It drapes well and has a beautiful feel to cozy up in against the chill of winter. The cape has a collar of a subtly contrasting color which extends down the front to function also as a scarf. Fine details include: all hand sewn with the thread used as warp yarns in the weaving, bound buttonholes, and pewter buttons.
